  1. Matthews is our biggest FA signing since Bighill. He's a CFL vet signed to a 3 year contract and brought in to be a leader The guy is not going anywhere. Its game 5, team's 4-0 and he broke a finger 3 weeks ago. Step away from the ledge, people!

This really doesn't bother me, it's probably just easier to wear the Jersey than to explain to everyone why your teeth are so shity and you and your wife share such a strong resemblance.

  5. Darrin Bauming continues to insist on using the term "healthy scratch" for Matthews... while it is possible he is almost healthy and he certainly is scratched... "healthy scratch" is a nice way of saying benched for performance or other issues... I believe it's more of a "rest up so you're healthy in the long run" type of scratch...

  7. The dude ****** up his hand, why are we calling him a healthy scratch? They're giving him time to be fully healed before putting him in cause they got another crappy eastern opponent. Jesus. He is a healthy scratch the way Bighill was a healthy scratch last week. Get your heads outta your asses folks.

  8. This on going narrative about taking long to get out of IGF is for sure an issue, but it is a false narrative. They really botched things the first couple of years at IGF and now can’t shake this perception. Getting out of IGF is now faster for us then it ever was getting out of Polo. Polo wasn’t perfect either. Can’t expect traffic to be no line ups anywhere 25k people are leaving at the same time. At most it is 10 minutes for us to get out of the U of M area once we get to our car. Often less.

  9. Matthews isn't going anywhere. I can't believe people are going nuts over this. Wake up people. He will be in the lineup next week. Guaranteed.

  12. His pinky finger was broken/dislocated so badly, it required stitches. That was 2 weeks ago. The Bombers are favoured by 10.5 and are playing at home. Also from Wednesday's Free Press: "Still, O’Shea wouldn’t confirm whether Matthews was going to play or not. That could be simply because he doesn’t have to. Rosters aren’t submitted until the day before the game and O’Shea has never been one to show his hand ahead of time." Further to O'Shea in media reports this week - he never ever says anyone is going to play for sure. He answers reporters queries with "he looks good". How we interpret that quote is on us. I think they can afford to rest him one more game.

  13. Fixing the fans in the stands issue won't happen using old technologies. Blackouts? Even if they could, anyone under the age of 60 could find a work around. No one reads local papers or watches local TV to get their sports fix. It's the internet age. You can't move the stadium. Public transport only goes so far and most stadiums already have it anyway. Increasing ticket, parking, booze, food prices to make up the losses actually hurts attendance. The CFL ignored an entire generation while watching it's fan base get older and older. They're paying for that now.

  14. Attendance is also down league wide. There are bigger league wide problems for attendance then to blame this on location.

  15. Huh. Maybe the coaches close the play book in a blow out and go vanilla so they save the wrinkles for a time when they need it? That would be the smart thing to do actually

Is there even a point in engaging? I mean, look at that ridiculous signature. No bias at all. Every now and then he comes out from under his bridge, makes moronic comments that have nothing do with the current topic in the thread, and dumps on "them Libtards," never making a lick of sense whatsoever or contributing to the conversation in any meaningful way. It's just a feeble attempt at pot-stirring. And it's as pathetic as defending the CHOTUS.

  29. Less money and free time with more sports teams in the city, prices, local blackouts gone, are all huge factors. The traffic is no worse than Polo, the location is an easy excuse. We have been over this

  36. What might be a fact for you, isn't for others. I'm in & out of the new stadium about 20 minutes faster than the old one. No traffic jams for me at all. Location is not an issue.

  37. First time we went, we parked at BP's and it was perfect. Little walk in. Second time, we went to Stone Angel and parked there, had a bunch of pints and pizza and again a lovely little walk in. There's so many options. I love the stadium in the south and most of the time I'm coming from Transcona.

  39. Nick Arbuckle leads the league in completion % as of Week 5 (68.8%), according to CFL, a "deep throw" is consider 20+ yards. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Ok - here's the best way I can explain sigma in layman's terms. If you're a doctor and you have two patients, and you measure their heartbeats per minute (bpm) 3 times each and the results are below: Patient #1: 60 bpm / 60 bpm / 60 bpm Patient #2: 100 bpm / 20 bpm / 60 bpm They would both have the same average (60 bpms), but obviously patient #2 is in a much more concerning scenario. Sigma, a.k.a standard deviation measures how varied your data set is, in the example above, Patient #1 has standard deviation of 0, whereas Patient #2 has standard deviation of 40. TLDR; Sigma/standard deviation is a way of telling you how varied a given data set is, it gives more information than just an average, as averages can often be misleading if you have numerous outliers that offset (such as Patient #2's heartbeat).

  41. I honestly dont get this argument anymore. I think people forget that Polo was pack a lunch time to get out. The new stadium takes 20 mins tops and costs 5 bucks to park. We we so spoiled for too long , it actually irritates me. FYI trying parking around US Bank it us about $40 USD

  42. Completely disagree with the sentiment that this is a last chance game for Lawler. I don't think he's seen the same way by the team as he's seen around here. O'Shea is always looking at the full body of work and the big picture. Lawler is in this week because he has shown a lot in practice and in the games. He just seems a bit snakebitten to me. By my eye test he has all the tools to be a great all around receiver. And if you listen to some of the comments made about him in interviews it sounds like the team feels the same way.

  43. I know he didn't play for us very long, but I really liked Eugene Goodlow when he was here. He broke some kind of record too.
