Maybe top end speed- but watching Lucky, he's got that amazing acceleration. It's akin to most players being ford mustangs, and Lucky being a Tesla. Like Lucky said -"My goal is to let every DB know it’s a different type of speed that I’m about to bring at you. And every time I go on the field I want them to feel that.”6 points -

WPG. Cruising alititude. EDM. Inevitable egg laying. MTL. Back in the race. Khari is a difference maker. OTT. Key injuries don't help but they aren't scaring anybody soon. SSK. Feeling good about beating up BC is like saying you had a great cardio with treadmill set on "1". TOR. Running out of adjectives.5 points -

2019 CFL Season: Around the League
Stickem and 4 others reacted to Fatty Liver for a topic
This is the worst I can recall the CFL ever looking, usually the majority of the West is strong and there are at least 2 good teams in the East, I blame rampant Free Agency with many teams having to flip 10-15 players and start over again each year, half with lousy QB's. If the entertainment value of the games remains poor past L-Day the league is going to lose a huge percentage of their TSN viewing audience due to disinterest, further damaging the league's reputation. The only thing that makes this season half-way tolerable is that the Bombers are currently sitting on top of the smoking rubble heap.5 points -

Its a long season. Don't want to be in a situation we were in during the 2017 where we made the playoffs but had no depth because of a ton of injuries.4 points -
I don't know about "no reason", having less depth will greatly improve parity in the CFL by making us worse...4 points

La Roca is definitely the sort of place I could see this happening at. I walk by there at night a fair bit and while I wouldn't classify the crowd as a bunch of gangsters, there's certainly a lot of coked-up douchebags dressed like extras in a Drake video.4 points

The completion streak overshadowed most performances.... but defence held the bombers in that last game while the offence was absolutely putrid in the first quarter Plus the stand against Edmonton after Harris fumbled late in the game... D is the core of this team - they put the offence in a position to win4 points

I believe it takes several years of a stable roster for CFL fans to start identifying strongly with a given edition of a team. It also helps to have personable players out in public- Khari Jones and Buck Pierce are a couple of examples.4 points -
naylor tsn 2. There’s been too much player movement since last season It’s a shame that the CFL and its players association didn’t do more (anything?) to restrict player movement or give players an incentive to remain with the same team. Since the introduction of the one-year contract under former commissioner Mark Cohon, the CFL has become an annual job-swap meet, as is evident during the early weeks of each season when even dedicated fans are likely to be saying, “I’d forgotten he signed with …” In no season does that seem to be more the case than this one. As for why the league and union didn’t find a way to remedy this, here’s my guess: The league asked the players for some sort of restriction on free agency, the union asked for something in return, the league refused and the conversation ended. Just a guess.4 points

On Matthews. We are built to win the cup. There is no reason to release him. His replacement right now is making the league minimum or just above. While the only reason to trade him would be if you could maybe get a All-star DB or some major upgrade which on the Bombers there is not many right now.3 points

I’d stick Sayles or Rose on Banks all game and let them go at it. We can’t get into a lot of situations where they move Banks around to work on Fenner.3 points -
I might argue that the special teams are just as key... but that is what sets Winnipeg apart from everyone else so far this year.... all facets are doing their jobs. Special teams are winning the field position battle, d isn't giving up many majors and the offense is putting the ball in the endzone. Sounds like a winning formula to me.3 points

As much of a joke as that team was off the field because of his antics, the team wasnt that bad on the field despite the horrendous playbook. Had they won the last game of the year they would have qualified for the playoffs, they beat Calgary in week 2, set a rushing record in BC and humiliated Hamilton on Thanksgiving as well.3 points -

Week 7 Preview
Fred C Dobbs and one other reacted to Mr Dee for a topic
Looking into next week’s games..as we approach the 1st third of the season. Bye Montreal (or is it buy Montreal) Calgary at Ottawa Thursday MBB votes 28-0 Calgary Toronto at Edmonton Thursday MBB votes 26-2 Edmonton Winnipeg at Hamilton Friday MBB votes 26-2 Winnipeg Saskatchewan at BC Saturday MBB votes 15-13 Saskatchewan The schedule doesn’t do the Riders any favours. The next game for the Riders is on Thursday, 4 days later, hosting Hamilton. Winnipeg has forced 12 turnovers this season (8 interceptions, four fumbles), which is three times more than the four touchdowns they’ve had scored against them. You simply cannot run the ball effectively against the Bombers. They have yet to allow a rushing touchdown this season and are averaging less than 60 yards against per game. The #Bombers will remain in Ontario all next week between games in Hamilton on July 26 and in Toronto on August 1. - Darrin Bauming BC - Reilly’s protective detail for the game consisted of two backup guards, a guard at right tackle and the often-exploited Brett Boyko moving across to protect the blindside. Tackles David Foucault and Boyko continue to demonstrate that they lack the foot speed required for blocking athletes on the outside without help. 3DNation Foucault is no tackle.. Phillip Norman. A tackle in college, he finally earned a start at guard in his second year with the team. Why he and Foucault didn’t swap positions is a question in and of itself, but the Lions made the baffling decision to move him to centre when Roy went down. He promptly botched two shotgun snaps. If they can figure this out, and poor tackling, and poor angles to ball carriers, I’m taking BC to win. 😳 They have to.. Saskatchewan- Which Fajardo will show up in BC Saturday? Can he be pressured into making mistakes? Saskatchewan can win the series on Saturday, but I don’t think it matters in the big picture, they’re not going anywhere. Ottawa - Doesn't look like Davis will be available against Calgary. Jennings: It was frustrating that I couldn't find a rhythm tonight. Um, Jonathan, give the Bombers D some credit for not letting get any “rhythm”. Calgary - even after that somewhat lucky win vs Toronto, Calgary and Arbuckle get back in the groove against theses guys.2 points
