Having a cop on one side of me and an ex-Bomber on the other, I am pretty happy with my neighbours.

My family is full of protective services. 2 RCMP, 1 City, 1 paramedic, 1 city Firefighrer and 1 retired federal firefighter. All are above and beyond fantastic and hard working and have risen to very high levels. Not all are like that, but the vast majority are. I hate people who **** on cops amd first responders. It's among the most brutal jobs a person can do.

If we win by 20, we'll hear cries that they should have won by 30. Rinse and repeat.

Eliminate the turnovers (the fumbles were just as ugly as the picks, if not more costly due to field position surrendered), clean up the penalties (there were some uncharacteristic ones the other night), and execute better (not just the QB). The Bombers as a whole went into Hamilton seemingly underprepared, underestimated their opponent, and were promptly punched in the mouth by a fired up home team. That should serve as a wake-up call for them.

I think the game plan was the real problem. Sure Nichols had his worst game since the Banjo Bowl but the fact we only ran 12 times when we were down by like 14 with 3.5 quarters left didnt help. I wonder what the thought process was to throw 50 times against a team who is last or 2nd last against the run went like.. I've been a law enforcement officer for close to 15 years and I've seen all kinds of officers come and go. Yeah there is some idiots who have never had an ounce of power in their lives who come in and think they are above the law and untouchable. Those idiots usually get put in their place fairly quickly by the good guys or sometimes the "job" puts them in their place and they correct their ways pretty quickly. The point of working with the same criminals over and over again can't be stressed enough. I have known some of the same criminals for my entire career and I can't see anything changing with that. Saying that, once the boys have had a few drinks I have seen it enough when the stories come out and I can believe that this guys friend told him about this incident.

Figured we might as well get this rolling. Practicing in Guelph this week in preparation of Thursday night's contest. Years and years of Bombers dreadful seasons have me feeling like we're going to give the Argos their first win of the season, and that things are going to spiral out of control the rest of the season, and the Riders are going to build momentum and keep winning...........I need a smack to right the ship. Even with all the experience Glenn isnt a better QB than Evans at this point.

It was pretty much a given that Matthews would be in the lineup this week (unless it comes out about him being a member of the Manson family and the NXVIM cult), and I would bet that Wolitarsky and Adams will be good to go.

Props to both WFP and CJOB for paying hotel rooms for someone to stay in Guelph and report on practice this week. As good as Ed Tait is it will be nice to hear other reports from others as well.

I'm not a Nichols fan, but it's nice to see him placing the blame on himself. In years past he finger pointed and whined and blamed everyone else when things were his fault. Could be a sign of maturity as a starter. Eat it, move on.

I teach Law at The Highschool level, so I have had many RCMP members come in as guest speakers over the years, both working and retired. What you say is true, but their primary frustration is dealing with the same criminals over and over again.
