  2. There’s actually been a reasonable amount of positive turnover during this regime. Just not at QB where it counts most.

    The RIP 2019 Thread

Twenty eight innocent people murdered in El Paso & Dayton. I won't count the heartless bastard the cops killed in Dayton. May his soul burn in Hell for eternity. And the politicians on both sides chant their empty mantra everytime it happens... "Our thoughts & prayers. Our thoughts & prayers. Our thoughts & prayers". I'm Conservative & maybe a Republican if I was American but I sure hope the American people wake up & vote that ******* racist who incites hatred on twitter & his rallies out of office.

  6. Lets go after Arbuckle. This Thursday.

  7. You mean like 2016 when the club decided to move on from Drew Willy and bring in Matt Nichols?? How many people credited him with the turnaround, and not Harris, who truly had the much larger impact. He's passed his expiry date over a year ago as far as I'm concerned. This erratic play has been going on since September 2017.

  8. The more I think about it, the more I believe we really, really, really have to change coordinators next season. Offensively, things won't change with another year of LaPo. It's time for a change.

  9. What's not to like about Arbuckle? He's a product of the Calgary Stampeders Quarterback Academy. He has got & continues to great coaching by one of the best in Dickenson. Now, he's p[icking up valuable playing time & gaining experience that he can build upon in the future. With Hufnagel as Dean of the football academy, Dickenson the Head Instructor & Dinwiddie as his assistant. If Arbuckle is a FA next season, there's no way he'll stay in Calgary just to play behind Mitchell. We should sign him if he's available.

  10. The greatest organization in the history of the CFL graces Winnipeg with a visit Thursday night. (tongue in cheek) So, this is a fairly important game. The differing results are so black and white I can't overstate it enough. Calgary blows us out: full on panic mode. Reasonably there would be discussion of sinking into a cross over spot if we get dumped on LD and BB. Panic ensues and like a lot of Bomber fans emotionally check out again due to previous trauma. I include myself in that. Winnipeg blow out: We are back in sole possession of 1st place and confidence rides high again. Winnipeg close win: Pretty much the same as above. Calgary close win: You know what? It doesn't matter the spread of the win or loss. This game is literally going to determine the mental health of our fanbase. ******* WIN THE GAME Bombers. God damn it.

  11. We lost to a terrible team who is was 0-5. We played poorly against a back up QB the week before and lost. Both games we should have won, if we were a good team. Those two games were games where a good team would have won. We are not nearly as good as we think we are.

  12. Hey Skunk, just a question. Since you think what I said is funny. You really think Streveler is better than Arbuckle? I don't & I also don't think there's any way Big Chris could handle an offense the way the kid in Calgary has. Not a chance. He's still riding the Blue Bomber qb tricycle with training wheels because of our coaches. And you know what? You'll probably never find out if he can.

True. But I don’t mind watching him play. Overall, this year’s version of the Als plays very entertaining football.

  14. For a rookie he's doing okay. I doubt if Streveler could do what Arbuckle is doing. My fear isn't losing Streveler. My fear is the present brain trust will decide they'll keep Streveler & pass on other young qbs who might be able to do better. I will say that bringing in someone like Arbuckle would also mean the Bomber braintrust decides to move on from Matt & I don't think our HC & OC would do that unless he totally shats the bed between now & the end of the season. I can see them extending Nichols contract.

  16. The last 5 years under this regime shows plenty what kind of team this is. We'll make the playoffs, probably around 11-7, and be one and done in the first round unless the opposition has significant injury problems. That's what happens when you bring the same crap back year after year expecting different results.

  17. I agree we will see what we are made of on Thursday. The coaches are not going anywhere this season. This regime has made is pretty clear they will not make any big in season changes. And frankly, when has a in-season change of position or head coach change resulted in dramatic change? As for Matty, the guy HAS to show his team he can man up and lead this bloody team. Hes gotta step up and put some bloody numbers up. First downs, yards, points and show some damn fire. Time to man-up Matty. What I have seen, its all mental. He is just not seeing the field beyond his first read.

  18. BTW: I am watching the Stamps/Esks game. It is a treat watching the two quarterbacks ad lib and make gains even when the called play gets blown up. Unfamiliar, though.

  20. With the O - line Willy had, it was at least a lot more understandable. The current O is loaded with weapons, plus good young Canadians and the best American OTs in the league on the OL. And Harris makes some outstanding blocks every game.

That was an entertaining game. Adams, Pipkin, Davis - not perfection by a long shot but it's fun to watch some athleticism at the QB position. Other than AH rippin' it, watching the Bombers constantly go 2-out, 2-out is incredibly boring in comparison.

  24. Lenkov’s were jock sniffers with little money. At least the league is taking its time because better to do it now than have new owners default and go right back to square one of league ownership. What the league really wants is someone with money and Lapointe.
