(copy of E-mail to Bomber office) Attn: Mr. Wade Miller - Confirmation on BC game agenda Dear Mr. Miller Do or Die checking in (my user handle on Morning Big Blue) I just wanted to check and review the following arrangements to celebrate my 500th home game, this evening: 5 PM – Pickup by a Blue stretch limousine, transport to IGF 6 PM – Appearance on CJOB pre-game show. 6:15 PM – Visit to Bomber locker room to deliver inspirational speech 6:30 PM – Complimentary yard long Shawarma, from Obby Khan. 7:00 PM – Free ride around the stadium, in Captain Blue’s airplane. 7:30 PM – Performing ceremonial kickoff, after coin toss. 8:00 PM – Short roaming gig, as CJOB cynical sideline reporter Halftime – Invitation to the 55 yard line – to receive gifts, including life long supply of gin Halftime – Interview with TSN panel 10:00 PM – Rigged 50/50/draw I realize you are quite busy – but I am sure that you agree - it is important that these arrangements go off, with a hitch. Btw – when years ago, I called you “Friar Tuck” on Our Bombers, I was actually referring to your generosity and genial good nature. Yours truly, Do or Die GO BOMBERS!20 points -

Can we take a moment and recognize how good our Special Teams are? A few years ago, they took stupid penalties, missed field goals and blew coverage. It was a weakness and we pointed the finger at MOS. Now, we're disciplined. That comes from the team ethos, obviously, but they lead the way. Medlock is just money. What a great pick up he has been! Even at the higher rate, he has been worth every penny in my mind. And, his punting, once considered a weakness, has been incredible. Our coverage team does not allow big returns and do a very good job containing the runner, IMO. The Special Teams provides a spark for this team.10 points

Reply from Bomber office: Thanks for your email Tim .. I have forwarded your email to Wade .. Congratulations on your 500th game .. Cheer loud tonight .. the team loves the noise .. Cheers, X10 points -
couple things, for me..... 1) Not sure BC is a tire fire, despite their record. They've showed some good things, and with Reilly (even on a bum leg) there is ALWAYS a shot and they're always in the game 2) Just win....don't care how they do it, or which phase of the game leads the charge, just win this week. We'll worry about next week when next week rolls around, but for this week....just win, baby.10 points

What I like about Strevler is he likes to push the ball downfield..he might not progress through all his reads but he immediately goes to the money makers and if not there he takes off as opposed to the check down..accomplishes the same end result in effect..with less wear on Harris in the process. Ala a young Dunnigan..10 points

If that happened, I would avoid MBB at all costs.9 points

I'm excited for this one. My son and I are doing the "Benchwarmer" sideline experience this week. Should be fun. And what glorious weather!9 points

Yeh he said he was working on punting styles with Koch (NFL Punter). These guys are essentially innovating a completely new punting style... a comparison would be to pitchers in Baseball. What 99% of punters currently do is throw fastballs on every pitch (tight spiral for maximum distance/hang time) - Koch and Medlock are adding knuckles and curveballs to the mix and it's doing wonderful things to their net yards (also IMO it's increasing the likelyhood of punts not being caught/being fumbled in the air)6 points -
That's it, close this website down. We will never see a better post. Ever.6 points

I agree with the what. I think everyone expected both to play. Gray was with the team last year already and Kongbo is considered to be NFL type material so we (I) were all drooling over the prospects. To be fair I drooled when Chung joined the team and drooled with tears when I heard he left and I drooled when I realised the team would still roll. I think I drool too much.5 points -

I was just going to add this as well. Duke Williams isn't coming out of the tunnel tonight to help him out, no Zylstra, no Derel Walker. It's Burnham, the decaying, fly-infested corpse of Duron Carter and that's it. I used to be terrified of Reilly because as @Noeller and @do or die said he always seemed to bang us on the 50/50 balls but I don't see that tonight. Even in game 1, a ton of his yardage was 2 throws to Burnham where we brutally missed tackles and then spent 50 yards trying to strip the ball instead of form tackle.4 points

GDT-Tire fire vs Bombers
MOBomberFan and 3 others reacted to Booch for a topic
thats was when he had 3 legit threats at receiver to throw to...so you had to pick your poison in coverage...he doesn't have that now...we pay a lil extra attention to Burnham...have the D-line keep Reilly unsettled and pop him every chance they get..I see us strolling to an easy win to be honest4 points -

After the Argo game I can't be confident in this week. Especially with the way BC played last week. I'm expecting a close game. Gotta keep the explosive plays to a minimum on Defense. And a maximum on Offense. GO BLUE!!!3 points -

Sitting in the upper deck a few years ago, watching the Lions beat us with KG5 at QB...with a kid sitting a couple rows back yelling "BC sucks" every minute...has lessened the cuteness of that phrase.3 points -

Not that nonsense again about the guys who drove across Canada. Scheer isn't "courting racists " and to even suggest such a thing is either desperate or ludicrous. To frame the argument with having to choose between a guy who is ACTUALLY guilty vs a completely false accusation is disingenuous. Anyone voting on that premise really is being suckered.3 points -
Tougher for tackles...the first step and the angles and gap responsibilities are way different.. have to be a lot quicker and have more finesse and technical skills cause you cant get your mitts on a guy right off the snap3 points
-
The line play is a fairly significant adjustment..especially with hand fighting and being used to a guy right on u..as apposed to that yard off..seems like an insignificant thing but its not3 points

I said during the game, I'd watch a bryant/law scrap. Definitely something going on there all game long.3 points

Starman115 and one other reacted to 17to85 for a topic
The best thing about Streveler is the attitude. That guy is a warrior and I hope Lapo doesn't neuter him.2 points -
He actually asked to do that..wanted more snaps as he wasnt getting any as backup and team took advantage of his skill set as ball carrier. Would love to see on one of those wildcat formations they hit him an a quick slant or crosser in full gallop..he'd raise some serious havoc in second level with full head of steam. I hope they also incorporate Janarius Grant into the mix..hes made plays out of the wildcat too in college..completed some passes too..hes a lefty I believe as well2 points

That was a point I was trying to make as well in a different thread..a play may call for a timing throw to a spot on field..and if a receiver muffs his route..the qb ends up looking bad. Not sure if people know or are aware of how some routes are drawn up but vcd there are several benchmarks used on the field that a play is designed for..and sometimes the slightest of things can mess it all up... Just like too once a QB and a receiver have that mental connection then it's easier to throw a guy open or adlib on the play. The one long td to Demski was an example of it when Demski pushed his defender toward side line and made subtle shift down between hashes..that was not the intended design..but Nichols was in Demskis head space and seen what he was doing and threw it to a spot that only Demski could get to it..2 points

Burris was the best team mate ever when things were going well, and the worst one if they weren't. Guy is a **** personality and when I read the quote in the penton article I immediately thought it was the huffer.2 points -
