**** off. If Fajardo can look like a passer so can Streveler. Fajardo sucks ass as a passer, way inferior to Streveler.8 points -

People forget MBT used to be a Bomber. Wouldnt be the worst thing we could do, but for now let’s roll with Strevy. Give him a week where the focus is getting him ready as the starter and I think we are going to see good things.6 points

This team is good enough all around to still win with an average QB. As long as Streveler and/or McGuire can play up to that level, I'm not worried at all. And after seeing guys like Arbuckle and Fajardo succeeding I can't see any reason why our guys can't do the same.5 points -
Holy over reaction batman! It's not about bringing in Glenn to replace Streveler. It's about bringing in a veteran as a backup cause let's be honest the way Streveler runs he could very well get hurt too and then you're left with just a rookie quarterback. There is no way that anyone other than Streveler was going to be the next man up for this team at quarterback.5 points

this is such a great play I can't even. Starts off looking good with Couture, Desjarlais, Gray out in front. Couture casually disposes of 31 and keeps rumbling downfield...all credit due to 31, he gets back up and stays in the play. by the end of the play, pretty much the entire offense is out blocking for Lucky. Love seeing these guys move downfield like a damn phalanx Desjarlais does a Paddy Neufeld and plows 32 way out beyond the end of the play ...as the Bombers celebrate, the camera pans past 32, sitting dejected at the 10 yard line...dominance.5 points

The guy had no warm up and the adrenaline was probably pumping, if your ready to write Streveler off based on such a small sample size , i am glad your just a fan....5 points

Streveler hasn’t played a traditional QB role for us yet this year. You’re confusing change of pace gimmick QB for actual QB. He hasn’t been asked to sit in the pocket and go through progressions in a traditional sense, there’s a reason he operates the way he does when he comes in the game. The coaching staff believes Nichols is a better player, why would they bring Streveler in for a different look if they wanted him to play the same way?4 points

Guy threw for 32 tds..4100 yards in senior season..and to this point in his career as a pro running gimmicky crap (other than the 4 he started in 2017) as as raw as you get raw rookie he has thrown for 1216 yards and 12 tds vs 8 int for a 61 percent passer...while rushing for 615 yards and 15 TD's...the guy knows how to score and has shown it He has a year and a half under his belt..in same system with basically the same teammates whom he knows..and who know him...with him now preparing as the guy pretty certain he can run things effectively..not as polished a passer as Nichols and may not at first go through all his progressions like Matt, but his added ability to gain yards with his legs will off set things as long as he is coached not to force things..he..and we will be fine and I bet you see our defense really notch it up now. To be honest speaking as a defensive guy that I was a guy like Strevler gives way more headaches and assignment responsibilities and checks in meetings than Nichols would..you know what you get with Matt..his tendencies.. and his skills/limitations..Strev is a big unknown and that run threat is gonna be huge in teams game plan..especially if he comes out slinging down field4 points -

"He doesnt have the tools" - lots of people. He's currently sitting 17th in the league behind just about everyone in terms of pass attempts this season. Give the guy a little rope here... geez! Lots of QBs struggle in their first several games and go on to have great careers! I dont understand the panic.... Nichols was mediocre the bulk of the season so far. To think that isnt replaceable is pretty closed minded!4 points -
When I saw the injury I thought "oh no he just got Lulay'd.". I wonder if he'll ever be able to get back to where he was. All the best to him in his rehab/recovery and I'll always be a fan whatever happens and wherever he plays ... No one should ever forget that he was the QB1 who brought the Bombers back to contender status.4 points

Lots of teams have kicked the tires on Glenn and he's happy to be retired. Gotta remember the guy is 40, had a long career and maybe he just doesn't have the burning desire to play anymore. Nothing wrong with that, it's his choice.3 points -

Even if they signed Glenn tomorrow he wouldn't play for a few weeks cause he wouldn't be in any kind of game shape. You don't air lift in a qb and start them right away. It takes time, a lot of time. This is them getting another body that might eventually be able to step in should the need arise. If they really didn't believe in Streveler why would they have kept him around as the backup and designed packages for him to play regularly anyway?3 points

The guy has come back from a broken leg (2012), torn ACL (2013) and a non-contact knee injury (2018). He also played through the 2017 playoffs with a broken ring finger and got absolutely walloped on the play that knocked him out of the game yesterday. Since the start of the 2015 season, Mike Reilly has played exactly 1 more game (72 of 90) than Matt Nichols (71 of 90). Our QB may be alot of things, but "soft" as you imply, is not one of them.3 points -

FWIW: Bob Irving @BobIrvingCJOB· 14h Chris Streveler, who will be quarterbacking the Bombers for a while, was 1-3 in 4 starts for the Bombers last year but he threw 8 td passes and only 2 interceptions. What a challenging start he’ll have in Ed. Vs the ferocious Eskimo defence next Friday.2 points

There are several youtube videos of Streveller that clearly show that he can pass. There may be an ideal throwing motion, but it seems unlikely that there's only one that works. If Matt is out Streveller will do fine. I agree, the team is good enough now to deal with this. Hope common sense prevails, and Nichols doesn't play when he shouldn't as did Drew Willy.2 points

First off, I hope Nichols is OK. But with Streveler we need to look at total yards generated by the QB because he brings an athletic dimension that Nichols does not have. Just look at games where Streveler was the starting QB as opposed to relief duty. In his first three starts for us as a raw rookie last year Streveler completed 54 passes in 86 attempts for 570 yards. He also ran 22 times for 183 yards. Combined that's +250 per game.2 points -

Mike Reilly suffered a knee injury in the season opener. of 2015, he also played (poorly) with a broken bone foot in the 2014 playoffs. Point is...every player in football at some point gets injured. It's only a matter of time. Besides, those are just the injuries serious enough that they've been disclosed, who know how many times guys have played through sprains and other minor ailments?2 points -

Bravo, by that study, you'd be the conservative, you are the one seeing the negative in everyone and everything. Also, according to that study, conservatives can't help it, it's the way their brains are wired, so essentially it's not something they can change about themselves even if they wanted too, not unlike being gay, yet you tolerate one and not the other. Congratulations, you're not only a conservative but a hypocrite too.2 points -
