  1. AS someone who has first hand knowledge of this from my past...as have used..and saw back when teams actually encouraged and administered to you if you wanted and it so I have to side with Andrew for a few reasons Teams gave a very thorough tutorial so to speak on what each drugs duration in your system was and where it would show test wise..blood..urine and the drugs half life. Also from testing protocol when urine and blood test are administered...and came back clean like they did then the athlete wasn't using...the only other thing that could be done above and beyond that to go one step further is fat samples as it lingers there...but that is never done ...and then a subsequent urine test 10 days later came back with minimal traces of it showing??...makes no sense and has to be some type of contamination or a bad test....even with an oral steroid taken immediately after his first test..the weakest of the weak would show large amounts in system for at least 14 days...undeniable amounts Also the drug he is apparently accused of is pretty much impossible to get now...more or less discontinued other than from black market suppliers...And I have never heard of a professional athlete going that route to get a drug...basically not made from a legit producer...way to many risks in that. Thats also why we got an extensive list of supplement companies as well where their "proprietary" blends of ingredients didn't actually say what amount of what was in it..or even if all ingredients are even listed..also as odd as it may seem that industry isn't even regulated, and companies can put whatever they want in their stuff without any recourse, or inspection and things are only pulled off shelves or investigated after reports of questionable things....sadly a lot of time that is deaths or serious health issues

  2. I disagree... let's start McGuire at QB and Streveller at RB.... 😂

  3. Let’s piss and moan about losing AH for a couple of games. Include how wrong he was to get caught. Add, he deserves it, the league is out to get him, or any other opinion that pops up. The way to get through this is handled as best it can by Wade Miller. As an organization, move on, nose to the grindstone next two weeks, focus on preparation for the opposition. Get a couple of wins, stay in first, and this gets behind the squad.

  4. Hey did you guys hear that @Booch is accusing Harris of buying black market drugs*?! * this message is brought to you by "taking quotes out of context" 😉

  6. Everyone is going to defend this because it’s Andrew Harris and we are Bomber fans but let’s get real. He tested positive because he did it. They don’t just throw Dianabol into supplements, you don’t just whoopsie daisy your way into consuming it. The reality is whatever he was taking to mask it, he messed up and he got popped. And I say that as a huge Harris fan. But let’s not cover our eyes and ears and ignore reality just because he’s a Bomber.

  9. I'm pretty surprised at all the CFL players and media guys from other cities taking shots at Harris. Surprised mostly at the players... you don't see a lot of that in other sports. Can you imagine Crosby tweeting out shots at Kuznetsov, laughing at him? To me, things like that make the CFL look more minor league than anything. I mean, Jordan Reaves, really.... Just when the Rider fans have something to lord over the Bombers, he basically stands up and shouts to the world "DON'T FORGET ABOUT ME, I GOT CAUGHT SELLING COKE!".

  11. Here is the thing - O'Shea is parroting this line about trace amounts 10 days after a clean test means it was unintentional. Does anything we've seen from O'Shea as our head coach over the last couple years give you the impression he would protect someone he thought was intentionally cheating? IMO - If O'Shea thought Harris was purposefully taking banned substances the BEST the club could get him to say to protect Harris would be "I won't comment". He wouldn't be talking about having Harris at practices surrounded by his teammates, because (IMO) he'd be advocating for cutting the guy.

  12. I want to believe Harris, but that's the oldest excuse in the book... I don't know enough to know anything so I'll just focus on yet another bomber backup stepping in and doing the job.

  14. One man’s opinion Bob Irving (@BobIrvingCJOB) Tweeted: My position on Andrew Harris—I know how hard he trains, how dedicated he is and I refuse to believe he would risk tarnishing his image and legacy by knowingly taking steroids. Virtually all players use supplements and it’s entirely believable one could be contaminated.

  15. Also, further evidence that this team is cursed and will never win a Grey Cup. Also one more reason not to watch the LDC this weekend. Damn melon heads are going to be strutting around like they are cock of the walk, when in fact they are cock of nothing!

  17. so you are just choosing to argue with someone who professes to know that world? That is the height of ignorance. Now I dunno whether or not Harris is telling the truth or not, we have all heard the "I didn't know, must be my supplements!" excuse before enough times to be immediately doubtful, however if you read Booch without any biases what he says can make sense. Again I ain't passing any judgements because I know that I don't know enough to form an opinion one way or the other. But I do know that arguing with someone who does know enough is pretty foolish.

  20. Those effen Russians have it in for the bombers: - Matthews out for for way too long without playing a game. Win first five games. - Bighill injured but “good to go” and still misses games. - Nichols, criticized for not throwing for more than 300 yards and team remains in first place. - Matthews stabbed in a Saturday night bar room brawl. He doesn’t bleed. - Nichols injured placed on 6 game IR. - Streveler starts in place of #15. Runs for more yards than passing yards. Team out scores first place contender to solely be in first place. Them russians cant figure the Blue out. Black Helicopters, Black Volga’s can’t make the Bombers rollover. This team is buildt with depth.

  21. I'm torn but for now I am in the no excuses, you got caught camp. Totally disappointing. Frustrated too because to me it helps the Riders but then again maybe we use it as a rallying point. Can we get Dave Ritchie in to do an its us against the world speech?

  23. The **** are you talking about? You don't get time served if you get popped😄 Fact: it doesn't matter how many times you tested clean when you then test positive It's not a good look, but I'm not condemning the guy.

  26. thing is...I know the steroid use scene..testing...how and what to take..mgs...clearing system period..on and on as I did it..lived through it..researched it...I could go on and on...the specific one he took...would not have left his system between the 2 tests...being it an oral would have to be taken daily..or every other day depending on how you spread out your dosage...is a bulking agent and serves no use for a skilled position player..also of note Harris is playing at a lighter weight..it also causes serous water retention and you would see it...especially in the face. and most likely he'd be more susceptible to injury when on it...it drys out your tendons and you lose flexibility...things a RB would not want People are quick to judge..and sadly this will hang over him, but it isn't the reason he is still going strong...and pretty sure most haters will say he must have a better masking agent (and by the way Dbol as an antiquated roid can't be masked) when he comes back...just as good...probably better after his suspension cause he is gonna be playing pissed off now. Thigpen btw was a totally different situation...he got caught with it full blown in his system and couldn't dispute it...so no **** he tool it like a man..had no choice...and it was a very mainstream drug that is rampant in sports..especially football...not some old school Golds Gym glory days bulking drug...like gimme a break But the haters are gonna hate regardless....have a look on the internet as I am sure they have it in the flatlands and research the amount of Supplements that have been discovered to have banned stuff in them..not listed on the label...you'de be shocked

  27. A very good article indeed. I'm of the opinion this wasn't intentional, as Harris does seem very contrite and apologetic. The fact that the head coach and several of his teammates backed him up seems to reinforce this wasn't intentional. Yes I understand solidarity and such, but if he was a cheat, you think others would be willing to go on a limb to sacrifice their reputation. That being said, when you live in the limelight, every action you undertake is scrutinized, and every black mark you encounter enlarged and dissected under a microscope. That's the pro athlete life. One bad thing can wipe away 10 good things. It's unfortunate that this happened to him and everything he has and will do gets marked with an asterisk.

  28. Yeh watch the media availability... unless Harris is one hell of an actor/liar he really comes across as sincerely believing he got unlucky with a bad supplement. Note - He won't say what he took exactly because he can't prove that's where the contamination came from and the manufacturer could sue him for defamation if he called them out. He'd have no recourse naming them without explicit proof.

Riders are a pretty good team, they have some weapons and some weak spots. I think the Bombers have what it takes to get the W, but I’m logically assuming a split just like I do every year. I feel like we have the advantage at the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball, which is huge for us in a battle of backup quarterbacks. The key will be whether or not the environment gets to Streveler. either way, I’ll be there to find out again this year. Favorite weekend of the year for me.

  36. Agree. It was a hot take at the time by Hecht. If you're going to have such a hot take, you look a little silly when this kind of stuff happens on your own team, whether Harris is "guilty" or not.

  37. Dbol...an older steroid if masked..the masking agent is detectable...newer drugs though not so much...and a trace amount showing after a clean test...10 days later would do nothing for an athlete..and even if he took what would be the required 10-20 mg dose orally at the very very least to get any benefit would have been 5 days of dosing and would have showed up as a full concentration as that oral would take a minimum of 14 days from last dose and the liver filtering it to be undetected other than maybe trace amounts still in fat cells...and the fat cell test is never done I believe him...as I as well as many others knew how to circumvent the NCAA testing back in the day...because you knew when you would be tested, so I have a good handle on time lines and doses

  40. trace amounts as well...would do nothing to enhance anything...so why even risk that...you need at least 25 to 100 mg of any substance every other day depending on how you took it (oral/injection) for any benefit..

  47. No kidding, we lost last year's LDC- but, we have the first ever regular season win and first ever play off win at new mosaic toilet bowl. We are now answers to CFL trivia: Q: Which team won the first regular season game at new Mosaic TB, home field of the sask roughriders?" A: "The Winnipeg Blue Bombers." Q: Which team won the first Playoff game at new Mosaic TB, home field of the sask roughriders?" A: "The Winnipeg Blue Bombers."

  48. If I'm scheming for Fajardo I'm letting him have all day in the pocket (not blitzing LB's) and forcing him to be accurate downfield, dropping 8-9 in coverage most of the time. We can get pressure with 3-4. Sask is really relying on quick shots out to the flats to guys like Shaq Evans and Kyran Moore.

  49. Luck was booed off the field at halftime at Lucas Oil Stadium last night when word got out that he was retiring. Someone from the Colts organization (Irsay?) leaked the retirement to Jason La Canfora & he tweeted it immediately which Colts fans began learning about during the game. Angry Colts fans began taking off their Andrew Luck jerseys & started booing the guy. Luck was going to announce his retirement Sunday at a press conference in Indy but was forced to do it after the game. The man had an unfortunate series of injuries one right after the other & he just felt he couldn't go on with the pain anymore so he decided to retire. I never criticize an athlete for any decision he/she makes when it comes to injuries. They have a right to choose their own destiny & happiness in life so the booing last night was really sad.
