  1. And to think that ***clown dared to question the credibility of a legend like Bob Irving. Bob Irving unloads more credibility into the toilet everyday than Rod Jagoff Pedersen has accumulated in his entire life.

  2. They really don't like reality, much prefer their make believe world where the Riders are always the best at everything.

  3. In 2017, the situation you're describing applied. A fourth place team (Saskatchewan, 10-8) crossed to the East, and had to play on the road in Ottawa (8-9-1), despite SSK having a better record. That year, SSK actually even had a better record than the East Division Champion (Toronto, 9-9). Your solution however, still doesn't quite make sense though... if SSK did get to host Ottawa instead (because they had a better record), how is that fair to Edmonton? They finished 12-6 (3rd in the West), and would've been the only Western team in the semis to play on the road, despite having a better record than SSK.

I like voting on Election Day because they use the Netley Hall. It’s a refurbished former country school - one of the few still in existence. #localhistorynerd

O'Shea has a really good record after bye weeks. Since 2016 he is 7-1. If there is anyone who will have a plan in place to make it work its him.

  7. Anyone see this little gem from the least biased CFL commentator? Not sure what he wanted - Bob Irving to rave about Dickensen for not exploding at the end of the game? To me, the two games are way different and O'Shea's reaction to the hit in the game was at least understandable. http://rodpedersen.com/throwin-elbows-with-brendan-mcguire-31/ 2. BOB IRVING TURNING INTO A BIG HOMER: “Knuckles” has been doing the Bomber broadcasts for nearly 50 years and he still calls the games with good objectivity and is not afraid to criticize his home team. But it’s really twitter where he’s becoming a Rockstar know-it-all. He supported Mike O’Shea’s railing against the Roughriders for injuring Winnipeg’s long-snapper with no mention of Willie Jefferson’s cheap shot on Cody Fajardo. And yet no credit for Craig Dickenson who, unlike O’Shea, didn’t explode after his loss or whine like a baby over missed calls. But rather, smiled, shook O’Shea’s hand and congratulated him on their win. The Mike O’Shea’s, Bob Irving’s and plenty of other Winnipeg fans of the Canadian football world could learn a thing or two from Craig Dickenson.

Banjo Bowl - GAME DAY THREAD

he's had one or maybe 2 "poor" passing games this year, and then 7 pretty good ones. His QB efficiency still leads the league at 107+. Just because the offense runs through Harris, doesn't mean Nichols is a bad passer. He's actually had a really good year till getting hurt. Listen, we can all cheer for Strevs and hope for the best without shitting on Nichols or just making stuff up...

  9. I think it was Suitor or Black who claimed that Ryan would have angling down by the playoffs. He's been a punter since 2004, don't see him changing now. #BlameDT

  10. why are we pretending that the guy who has won a **** ton of games for this team over the last few years and this year as well wouldn't have been able to beat the Riders? Just because Streveler ran a bunch doesn't mean that it was the only option available and that Nichols would have been in those exact same situations. Both of our QBs have shown themselves capable of winning games. It's a good thing here folks and you don't have to choose just one, you can support both players.

  11. Thought they would blame that on Mike O'Shea.

Yeah reflecting on that is a difficult one. Anyone that works in health care can clearly see how things have gotten exponentially worse for providing care in the last three years. But how do you make that argument, and make it tangible without referencing the ER closures/restructuring/whatever you want to call it. It's the behind the scenes stuff - rampant OT, experienced care providers saying **** it and retiring, cutting of basic services, putting pressure extra pressure on those still remaining, forced restructuring votes, general quality of care that has gone to crap that are the real issues that are hard to get across to people that don't stop to think or analyse (looking for the sound bite).

  16. I think a lot of people forget that Streveler has less than 10 professional starts since he was in college. Is he better overall than Nichols at this point? Of course not. Does he have potential to be? VERY easily. There will be bumps along the way. He is still an incredibly young QB - See the Edmonton game. But his feet can get him out of trouble, and he's only going to get better when it comes to reading defences, accuracy, and everything else that comes with throwing the football. Personally, I'll take the facepalm moments that will inevitably happen in the short term, knowing how good this guy can be in a season or two.

  17. Yes indeed. And isn't it nice to be having this conversation about Nichols/Strev when we used to have the same debates about Elliott/Brink/Goltz/Marve et al

  18. Ryan's returnable punts are returns an average of 18.9 yards. Medlock's are returned 8.2 yards. Ryan's punting average is 50.6 whereas Medlock's is 43.9. Whether Ryan likes it or not, Taylor's numbers don't lie.

  19. Jon Ryan can punt that ball to high heaven, but since heaven and Saskatchewan are not synonymous, it really doesn’t matter.

  20. A total nobody, in the big scheme of things....

  21. 100% I do. Saskatchewan are pretenders, either of our qbs could have dispatched them, it just would have looked different.

  23. their self proclaimed "best" oline in the league in 3 games against top defenses (us and Cgy) has given up 15 sacks...and countless pressures...and ran for an average of 69 yards a game....very dominant oline play
    3 points
  24. the funny part is Ryan beaking at him too....he can boom a punt sure...but thats not the be all end all...and they have given up most punt return td's and average gain on a return in league...lots of that is cause of your punter..100k well spent

  25. Maybe you should criticize the blocking on that play instead of Nichols. I mean, if it was Streveler who got hurt that's the first thing you'd say. Where was the blocking?????? You & Skunk are such keyboard warriors that it's hilarious. Calling out Nichols as soft. SMH.

  32. Not to mention he has got to have the most punchable face on planet earth. And the words that come out of it make it that much more punchable. Every time I see his freaking face on the internet I want to smash it with a brick. Too much?

  33. But, on TWITTER Bob mentioned how classy Dickenson's response to the situation was. WTF rod... "Craig Dicenson's response to the Oshea-Rempel scenario demonstrates what kind of class act he is and always has been. A true credit to the CFL." That's the tweet Bob sent out...what more do you want Rod? Someone tweet that **** to him, cause he blocked me on twitter years ago.

  34. He has the Rod Pedersen podcast. He was selling merch and recording a podcast outside the stadium for the LDC. EDIT: I just assume he's homeless and rides the Regina transit, talking to himself and uploading it to the internet.

  35. Bob Irving is a Rockstar know-it-all!!! Actually Bob Irving could give Pedersen some valuable lessons in measured objectivity and more importantly......class. Assuming that this guy, who is a notorious Rider lackey... had enough firing neurons, to absorb it.

  39. I understand the gripe here, but if the entire league were one division, season series would be much less important, and playoff positions would be all but set 2/3 through the season. If today, the league were one division it'd look like this: HAM: 9-2 WPG: 9-3 CAL: 7-4 SSK: 7-4 MTL: 6-4 EDM: 6-6 ************ OTT: 3-8 TOR: 2-9 BC: 1-10 Overall, it'd make the stretch run much less exciting, because there is a lot less for the teams to play for. By no means is the current system perfect, but consolidating things into one division wouldn't help, it'd make the imbalance between good and bad teams that much worse. Teams would be coasting into the playoffs easily with 3-4 games left, without much (if anything) to play for.

  40. Honestly, I don't hate Nichols. I will admit I am not a fan, but I don't hate the player or the person. And just to add..... when I was raising my kids one said they hated somebody at supper one night..... it was there an then me an the wife put a stop to our kids, "hating" people, and directed them another way.

Listen, I know that the Bombers are a good team. I believe in them. But there's a lot of chest thumping right now for beating a truly TERRIBLE Riders team at home. I mean, we PUMPED EM, and that's awesome....we are definitely a good team. But let's not start planning the parade route because we beat an awful, massively overrated Riders bunch...
