My 4th game of the year, and should be able to snap up a ticket or two at bargain basement prices. Cold November day, Semi final, Calgary always has pretty lousy attendance for these. With the Stamps getting healthier it will fall on Harris and our O line to win this game. **** Calgary and their mediocre fans, and **** the Stampeders. GO BOMBERS5 points -

100% makes sense. Last year in the west final they tried to let Calgary lose the game, which might work against the Brandon Bridges of the world, but not against the Bo Levi Mitchells of the world. You want to beat Calgary in the playoff go out there and take it to them. They won't give it to you , gotta take it.4 points

Yeah I was explaining to my wife yesterday how truly awful the play in the league has been this year. If the Bombers don't go on a big run in the post season then it's been basically a waste of a season cause there wasn't a lot of greatness from the CFL this year.4 points

The collapses in Toronto & Montreal killed our season. Cost us first place. The coaching by LaPo & Hall. The injury to Nichols. We really should have won the West Division comfortably. Instead, we had little or no momentum the second half of the season.3 points -
Agreed. I cannot recall a season where there has been so much mediocrity in the league. The only feelgood stories have been in Hamilton and Montreal.3 points

So it's settled then. We need to win 3 games in a row. A very manageable task given the talent and health we have on this team. First, we go to McMann for the WSF to beat a very beatable Calgary team that we have handled well all season. It's going to be cold and snowy and Bo don't like cold weather. He's going to be uncomfortable and so are his receivers. Pound the ball with Harris and Streveler will be the key. Second, it's off to Mosaic to break the hearts of the Riders. The toughest challenge may be the officials so we need to play clean against one of the most penalized teams in the league. It's not going to be so easy for the officials to ignore the crap in a playoff game. I look for the Riders to come unglued when things don't go their way. Discipline will be the key. The Grey Cup game is going to be against Hamilton but here's why we will win; 1) It's very hard to beat a team 3 times in a row and that's what Hamilton is going to have to do against us and, 2) The game will be back at McMann. Once again the weather is going to favour the team with the better trench warriors and the better ground and pound and that's us. Bombers win and end the drought!3 points -

This feels like a game that we have to go out and take it to them. We need to go out and win it, if that makes sense.2 points -

Judging from the games this weekend, the Bombers have as good a chance as any of the other playoff teams to advance to the Grey Cup game. Even Mitchell and Co. did not look unbeatable. The backup QBs were all uniformly terrible, and I would bet on a massive turnover in their ranks in the off-season.2 points

If we win, great. If we lose, not as great, but at least I can be there on Sunday on my birthday That'd be 4 bomber games in one season, a high since I moved.2 points -
I would still have the Stamps by 5.2 points

O'Shea in his 6th year gets schooled by Craig Dickenson in his first year as a HC, Corey Chamblin in his first win with the Argos, and Khari Jones in his first year as a HC. That just doesn't look good. No way he is supposed to be losing those games to rookies. Maybe one of them to a sensational coach of the year or something but no way can he afford to be out-coached in all three. But he was.1 point
-
That's a function of the schedule. Much tougher 2nd half than 1st. You're oh so right about the Toronto/Montreal games. We could not afford to give those games away the way we did. At first I was surprised that no one paid the ultimate price for those collapses. If Wade and Kyle didn't take a long, hard look at O'Shea/Lapo/Hall after those games then I just don't know what to think.1 point

No. The off season is long... Arduous. It sucks, quite frankly. I have the WCT, but it's not the same level of passion... There is nothing like CFL football. This will be an incredibly enjoyable week soaking up every bit of Bombers vs Stamps minutiae...1 point

30 fronts are garbage in this era and with the way teams use max protect with 2-3 man routes downfield. The Bombers blitz packages all season are a great example of that. I doubt a Bombers LB has touched a QB in the pocket more than 10 times this season.1 point -
They're going to beg him to come back... Just a matter of whether or not he wants to.1 point

I don't. I don't think Walters gives up on MOS.1 point

Not that its gonna happen, but a 3-4 defence alternating with a conventional 4-3 would make life difficult for the Stamps.1 point

Yes, should have included that drive. Good point. Where does the responsibility for that fall on? Just another notch in the tree trunk of mediocrity of Richie Hall.1 point -

Two gutsy wins in a row, great job Jets. The game seemed to turn after the fight and Poolman injury, maybe they're on to something.1 point

I think he's probably not going to shy away from his responsibility for how the team plays. If he doesn't like it, change it, that's what he's there for. And if he tells them to do something and they do something else.... oh well. I think the team will be aggressive. But I hope they use the db blitz instead of the linebacker one, which is useless. and please stop with the trendy D lineman dropping back in coverage. somebody said Jake was in coverage, come on. maybe some of that Ticats "max protect" The Bombers can definitely win this game.1 point

2019 CFL Season: Around the League
The Classic reacted to White Out for a topic
Saskatchewan has to be the worst first place team in the history of our league. I've never seen a team wind up playing so many backup quarterbacks over a season . It's pretty ironic that they will likely be one-and-done in the playoffs behind Harker, too1 point -

The league should have handled this ...they didn't...instead left it up to the whims of a few loser media people sitting in their little ivory tower...I won't forget this and neither should the Bomber faithful...This was just plain over the top discrimination against a star player in this league....Makes you wonder about their motivation....was it really all about keeping the league snowy white and clean (pious bastards) or was it something else....something they have against the team ??...In any event I hope Andrew Harris uses this as a motivation in the playoffs to further make those a-holes look stupid... Inspired play taking us to the Cup would be great...otherwise I hope Andrew runs wild on defenses and shows those idiots that nothing else but his talent and desire were needed for him to play this game at a very high caliber ...In my book Andrew is a winner.....1 point

Most reasonable people on this board (that excludes some), just want to win -stats are secondary to us. Nichols was a winner - he wasn't flashy, but he often got the job done. He was the best option we had at the time. Collaros' stats weren't flashy, but we need to remember he hasn't played a whole game in about a season and a half...and he had only 2-3 practices where he ran our offense. He likely has a higher ceiling than Nichols (i.e. makes some plays out of nothing). Let's hope he stays healthy for 3 playoff games!1 point
