I still don't understand this about our D. Receivers wide open all over the field. Easy pickings for Bo. All because we don't want to give up the big explosion plays, which we do anyway. Or, Bo just throws underneath our coverage or into the soft spots in our zones and marches the length of the field in 14 plays and chewing up clock. Extremely frustrating style of defense.5 points -

Don't let the Stamps beat you guys before the coin flip. All this talk about how good the Stamps are on and on....pi$$ on them. They are as good as the Bombers let them be. I can guarantee you each and every Bomber on that team is not thinking a damn thing as you guys are talking about. They are frothing at the mouth to get out there and smash these prick$ into oblivion. And I for one am going scream and yell and high five the crap outta every man, woman, kid and animal within my vicinity on Sunday as the Bombers kick the crap outta Dlck and Sons and toss them aside and show the Sackstenchwan Riders and their stenchy fans who the hell is coming into that toilet bowl of a stadium to kick their A$$ next! I don't care if they cheat, steal or even stab some white horse on the sideline to get the win in Calgary just as long as they get that Big W! This Sunday Calgary is the land for glory, for hope, and for the future of the Bombers and their fans to march in the streets of Winnipeg with that Grey Cup! Go fu(king get em boys!4 points -

Their record through the first half of the season was pretty good (7-2), so one could argue the team did enough. However, those two ugly road losses to the Argos and the Als now loom large, as many said they would. Couple those with the mediocre second half record (4-5) and the third place finish comes as no surprise. A good start was easily forgotten when a lousy finish became realer with each mounting loss. The Bombers' playoff campaign will be tough once again and they have nobody to blame for it but themselves.4 points -

Part of it is just that our offense doesn't utilize a receiver the same way that Calgary does (or other teams do) because we have Andrew Harris and the offense runs through him, for better or worse. We're just not designed to be a passing offense like that. So maybe a guy like Lawler or whoever could be the next Begelton, but it's hard to know for sure in our offense.3 points -

I know you don't read links, so here is a summary. In November 2012, BP and the United States Department of Justice settled federal criminal charges, with BP pleading guilty to 11 counts of manslaughter, two misdemeanors, and a felony count of lying to Congress. BP also agreed to four years of government monitoring of its safety practices and ethics, and the Environmental Protection Agency announced that BP would be temporarily banned from new contracts with the US government. BP and the Department of Justice agreed to a record-setting $4.525 billion in fines and other payments.[24][25][26] As of 2018, cleanup costs, charges and penalties had cost the company more than $65 billion.[27][28] In September 2014, a U.S. District Court judge ruled that BP was primarily responsible for the oil spill because of its gross negligence and reckless conduct.[29] In July 2015, BP agreed to pay $18.7 billion in fines, the largest corporate settlement in United States history. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deepwater_Horizon_oil_spill 95 billion dollars spent on cleanup and the Gulf of Mexico is still an ecological mess that would take hundreds of years to rehabilitate itself if drilling stopped today, which it won't. National borders don't matter, only dollars count, where ever the oil industry prospers they leave an unpaid environmental mess in their wake.2 points -

Yeah, nine years ago. When it happened. You know, what usually occurs immediately after an oil spill... It's in the news. Countless organizations continue to protest oil production in the Gulf of Mexico, as they do in other locations such as the Oil Sands and the Canadian Arctic. I'm not sure I understand what this whataboutism has to do with anything, though. A pipeline spill just happened in North Dakota and - imagine this - it's in the news. What does the Gulf Coast of the US have to do with that, much less an oil spill there nearly a decade ago? I digress. How have politicians and environmental groups shut down the oil industry in Alberta? Could you share an actual, legitimate source to substantiate such a bold statement? I'd be interested to know what specific political figures and/or environmental groups have realistically managed such a feat. Cognitive dissonance has nothing to do with the political left or the right, BTW. So, I suggest you look up what it actually means instead of resorting to your usual tactics, labeling others presumptuously and getting defensive.2 points -
I think it's entirely possible one of these guys can be as productive as the all-stars you've mentioned... I just don't see it happening in our existing offense...2 points

The League led by Randy Ambrosie, our inimitable Commissioner, so hell bent on taking the game to such football hotbeds like Japan & Timbuktu that he can't see the answer right in front of his face. Fans are absolutely screaming what is wrong but he & the Board of Governors just seem to be completely deaf to their complaints. Ticket, concession & parking prices are too high. When the entertainment dollar for each fan is stretched to the limit, what is the CFL's marketing response? To price tickets, food & drinks out of reach of the average fan. Most of the diehards in every CFL city will still go to the games no matter what but families & casual fans won't. And therein lies the problem. Not only do CFL teams compete with other forms of entertainment, they also compete against their own tv contract. No blackouts with every game televised. So, seats sit empty. Why spend a couple of hundred dollars on tickets, food & parking for a family of 4 when Mom, Dad & the kids can watch the games in their own home. The answer? Lower ticket & concession prices to the point of being affordable once more & attendance will rebound. I think the CFL knows the problem but refuses to do anything about it.2 points -
Is attendance the CFLs biggest issue? ‘I was baffled’: Game-day attendance falls flat at Mosaic Stadium https://globalnews.ca/news/6126335/i-was-baffled-game-day-attendance-falls-flat-at-mosaic-stadium/ .... The Roughriders sold out just one game this season, the Labour Day Classic. Average game-day attendance also dropped by nearly 1,500 fans.2 points

Not only frustrating but completely ineffective. We consistently get shredded and yet Hall never adjusts. It's not ok to give up an explosion play but it happens. It's inexcusable to continue to leave receivers wide open which is what this Bomber defense does game in game out. I've said it all year and I'll say it again, we have very rarely stopped a 2nd and long all year.2 points -

https://digbysblog.blogspot.com/ "When the president of the United States talks like a gangster, here's how it looks to his targets. From former ambassador Marie Yovanovitch's deposition: Q: Also on page 4, at the top, President Trump said, “The former ambassador from the United States, the woman, was bad news and the people she was dealing with in the Ukraine were bad news, so I just want to let you know that.” Do you see that? A: Yes. Q: What was your reaction when you saw that? A: Again, I hate to be repetitive, but I was shocked. I mean, I was very surprised that President Trump would—first of all, that I would feature repeatedly in a Presidential phone call, but secondly, that the President would speak about me or any ambassador in that way to a foreign counterpart. Q: At the bottom of that same page, President Trump says, “Well, she’s going to go through some things.” What did you understand that to mean? A: I didn’t know what it meant. I was very concerned. I still am. Q: Did you feel threatened? A: Yes. He's the most powerful thug in the world. I'd be scared too. But consider that she'd already been treated as if there was a contract out on her: Q: What did she say to you? A: Well, in the first call, which happened at quarter of 10 in the evening Kyiv time, she said that she was giving me a heads-up, that things were going wrong, kind of off the—off the track, and she wanted to give me a heads-up. She didn’t know what was happening, but there was a lot of nervousness on the seventh floor and up the street. Q: What did she mean by “up the street”? A: The White House. … A: She called me about an hour later, so it’s now 1 a.m. in the Ukraine. Q: And what did she say to you then? A: She said that there was a lot of concern for me, that I needed to be on the next plane home to Washington. And I was like, what? What happened? And she said, I don’t know, but this is about your security. You need to come home immediately. You need to come home on the next plane Jesus. These people are mobsters and all the Republicans are going to defend it as perfectly normal. If it is, the US State Department is a criminal organization."2 points
