Dear Retired Blue Bomber Alumni, I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for your proactive retirement prior to the start of the 2018 season. It set in motion a cascade of Blue Bomber fortuitousness that would rival that of the prettiest sheep at Regina's county fair. For without your ability to assess your own rancid play at quarterback, and having the foresight to understand you would be a massive step backwards for us - even as a backup quarterback, we may never have seen the running prowess of Chris Streveler as QB. If you had not so honorably fallen on your sword and retired as a Winnipeg Blue Bomber, the events set in motion that transpired during our 2019 Grey Cup season may have never come to fruition. Although some may consider your actions towards the Bomber organization malicious, nay - cowardly, I do not see things that way. You deserve every bit of the $70,000 signing bonus you were entitled to, and I want you to rest assured that your actions helped ensure that pride and integrity has been restored to the Bomber organization as a result of their 2019 Grey Cup Championship. To help commend your sacrifice for all that bleed Blue and Gold, I am including a signed bootleg copy of the 2019 Grey Cup game (on DVD), as I feel the game recording itself represents all that you understand is near and dear to the Bombers organization, grit, sportsmanship, a never-retire attitude and class. The copy is a bootleg as it is as phony as your career, personality, and legitimacy as a starting quarterback. It's a DVD because y'know - Saskatchewan (at your request, I can provide a VHS copy if that is preferable). I have also included a slice of humble pie. Sincerely, Eternal Optimist

Streveler's quickly becoming my favourite Bomber.

People need to lose the notion that stalled drives are on an OC..Other team's are scheming against us to stop our scheme...thats football....I gotta say our 2 coordinators over the last 4 games were key in us winning...plain and simple...they gave our players the knowledge and plan to win...and they executed it to perfection We gave up 3 TD's all play-offs...3!!...and forced turnovers with picks...strips...and on 3rd down gambles Offensively...no turn-overs...and everytime a team scored on us...next drive we pretty much got it back...controlled the clock...the LOS..and won...we stalled on a few drives and got FG's instead of TD's but we got points...kept other teams offence off the field and our players were put in spots, and given great coaching to not make errors...kudos all around...this was a total team championship right down From Walters savy trade to the lowest position coach on the totem pole, and right through the roster...the whole roster..Guys like Hansen..Gauthier..Speller..Exume...Kongbo..Desjarlais..Bailey..Lawler all had game altering impacts to go along with our stars...back-ups stepping in to have to start...rookies making plays...foot soldiers doing key things...the whole TEAM won this...and we still had guys like Roh..Whitehead..Gray..Fenner ..Oliveira Couture not even able to get in line-up but if they did all capable of starting and having an impact..this team is set up nicely

And I am soooo looking forward to watching them again and again all winter. Got the WSF, WF and the GC saved on an external hard drive for my PVR. That sucker is gonna get a work out as I anxiously await our 2020 defence of the Grey Cup! You're all invited to pop over and watch them whenever you like Edit: Just did the math. 212 days between Dec 1st and July 1st works out to just slightly more than 30 weeks...so if I watch one game a week I can watch them each 10 times by the time the new season starts! Gonna be celebrating the playoff run and Grey Cup all winter/spring long! Edit #2: I mentioned my plan to a friend who was worried that with all that re-celebrating I might develop a drinking problem. I told him if the last 29 years didn't cause me to develop one I think I'll be ok!

I think my favorite part of the entire game was the Hansen special teams hit. Dear lord. He torpedoes the guy blocking him into the returner for a double ti-cat annihilation. It was a beautiful thing. You could HEAR that hit.

Shouted at Streveler to "pace yourself, as you have to hoist that cup again, next year!" He laughed, put the cup down and did a muscle flex pose. What a character.....

Great! I could use a fresh one of these. Backed up by a case or two of this. When I'm done with them, wrap me in a Bomber scarf and stick me in one of these.

Winston Rose still getting no respect?

I noticed Evans body language, attitude & demeanor got worse as the game went on. He looked to be throwing hissy fits & getting angry everytime he was sacked or hit. He didn't inspire or lead his team last night. He played lousy & was a lousy teammate.

Watching the bombers win it live?

Lapo and Hall both called excellent games on Sunday. Stalled drives just might be attributed to Hamilton's number one defence doing their best to keep them in the game. End of the day when you hang 30+ on their defence, and you keep their O to under 15 points your coordinators have done an excellent job preparing the players, game planning and calling plays. Those are just the facts. There have been times each of these guys have deserved criticism, but you have to be highly biased not to give these guys their due for Sunday.

The Ti-Cats had first place locked up for a while and then took the crossover team out back, getting a cakewalk to the big game. And then all week, it was a lot of talk from the big names - and I genuinely believe that talk got their heads and they expected an easy, exhausted opponent. Complacency set in. We all know how it worked out. Did any player on the Ti-Cats stand out last night? Not really. They got smacked around early and never really recovered, looking stunned and shell-shocked by the time it was all over. I'm not big on the whole "team of destiny" notion, as I believe it takes away from the hard work of the coaches and players. These guys battled - hard - for three games all on the road. For one another, they were constant in their collective relentless effort, unwavering teamwork, and incredible perseverance for a common goal. If anything, the 2019 Blue Bombers created their own destiny and the football gods smiled down upon them for their hard work. This was a championship run for the ages, not only for the fact it erased 29 years of heartache and failure, but also in how impressively dominant they were in these games against strong opponents. This organization, this fanbase, and dare I say this city - needed this victory. These players have cemented their legacy as legends.

umm.... yeah. Hanging out with hundreds of other Bomber fans in the first few rows as the clock wound down, cheering and hugging people you've never met! Besides winning the actual game, when Gabe ran out on to the field and as he was about to get interviewed by CTV about to go live, I helped get a huge "DANCING GABE" chant going that went through most of his interview. No one deserved the win more than Gabe, and that was my 1A moment of the weekend!

And true to my word, I missed the first 5 minutes of the game just like I did in the Calgary and Sask games. Actually I missed almost the entire first half live. After missing the first 5 minutes and us dominating, as I walked back up the stairs to my seat I could hear all my buddies yelling "no, go back, go back" lol. So I watched most of the first half on a tv near the concessions lol. Small price to pay, and youre all welcome lol!

I was there... Matt Nichols speech was incredible... very heartfelt and left many in tears... I think we can all agree he's not the perfect QB... but he was such an integral part of turning this team around and any failure to recognize that is just disrespectful and ignorant... let's give Matt the respect he deserves!

That may have been the greatest 3 game defensive performance in CFL playoff history. 3 TD's allowed in 3 games, and if you take the last 2 quarters in Calgary, the entire Sask game, and the first 2 quarters in the Grey Cup, that's TWO ENTIRE GAMES with no TD's allowed!!! Unf'ingreal.

and Bryant...they love it here..are huge parts of the success...and we can pay them market value..as we already are...you have to realize those two are pretty much making as much as they could/would anywhere and their bumps would be insignificant ones..basically just a increase based on a bit more due to the usual cost of living reason...they won't be having to be paid 10's of thousands more...and from what I know Bryant re-upped here for a really SMS friendly deal in Grand scheme of things..and is more than happy with it...and neither are looking to retirement..

No it's not. Beta was clearly technically superior to VHS. My Beta machine even skipped ads automatically on taped TV shows. VHS won because it was cheaper so more folks bought it. Saskatchewan is not clearly superior to anything.

I think they have to lose one Natl. O-lineman to keep the others content, so I would let Neufeld move on as he's the oldest and most expensive of the group. They need to get Gray back in the lineup before he decides it's time to move on with his professional career.

At different times during the game Jim Barker & Orlando Steinhauer tried to calm him down. Evans had a great season but it seemed to come too easily & when he ran into a buzzsaw coming after him he couldn't handle it.

Willie gets mad, then gets even....blowing into the back field, getting the strip - Bighill recovers Harris delays...finds huge gap and runs 15 yards, right up the middle for the TD! Evans finds Banks with a couple of passes ...but Rose gets the stop short of the marker.. 44 yd FG gets the Cats on the board... Zack hoists one up to the sidelines...Lawler wins jump ball for 30 yard gain... Medlock wide on 47 yard attempt - 8 to 3 for the Blue... Sutton doing some nice running for the Cats, Evans completes 9 yd pass.... ....but Hamilton 3rd down QB carry....completely smothered. Another turnover ZC avoids pressure but can't generate a first down.... Sure would like to see the Bombers do more with these turnovers.... Evans completes FD passes to Addison and Banks.... I don't know what the calls were...and what the defense presented to counter...nor do you...We may have called more Harris touches in redzone, but if the defense took it away...then whats the point...It all came down to what Zack called when he did his pre-snap reads...If you think we call a play and thats that and you run it regardless then your pretty ...not to be rude...dumb...thats not how it works. When an offence controls the clock by almost 12 minutes..has zero turnovers...scores 30+ points...and wins the game with balanced offence...yeah in my experience thats a pretty damn good called game...not sure what you wanted/expected but the end result was a W

Read in the Sun today that sometime last week the entire team watched a Mike O'Shea highlite reel montage. It looked like the entire team dialed up their own version of Mike O'Shea on Sunday.
