  1. Oh, the difference is huge. And that makes all the difference. When Nichols feels the pressure, he can't escape and chucks it away or goes to his bread and butter, the check down. Zach showed a capability to escape pressure, and maneuver around buying time for receivers to get open. You never saw that with Nichols.

  2. Well, from the Rider point of view: Winnipeg Blue Bombers 2019 Grey Cup Champions******* One asterisk for Harris drug suspension One asterisk for Farjardo injury One asterisk for Mafia influence One asterisk for crossbar One asterisk for Streveler's drinking habits One asterisk for Mike O'Shea's sideline fashion (shorts) One asterisk for other teams in playoffs, not bringing their A game

  3. You know that feeling you got when Collaros took the knee in victory formatuon at the end of the 107th Grey Cup game? Remember that feeling? You are killing that feeling with each post like this. Every single angst filled "Nichols sucks" post you have posted since the 107 GC, chips away at that celebratory feeling that we get to share with ALL Bomber fans... Feeling of connectivity with fans between now and 29 years ago... All of that, you cheapen with every "Nichols is a ham n egger" equivalent comment that you make... take a break from the hate, revel in the ******* GREY CUP CHAMPIONS THAT IS US!!!!! At least give it a day for every year of the Drought. That is a small ask. Surely, if I can let go of most of my hate of all things riders- you can let up on a Bomber.

  4. I finally got to watching both the first and second halves of the GC Wired Up feature. Having the highlights edited with field level footage was awesome. The collisions, yelling and crowd cheering put me right back into the moment. The difference between the Bombers team-first culture and the Ticats me-first look-at-me prima donnas showed me that we were never going to lose that game. Simoni and Williams are an outright embarrassment to Hamilton fans. And Banks? I’ve never seen a whinier excuse of a football player. Seeing him complain about getting the ball too much and taking too many hits? In the championship game?! Give me a f.ucking break. Banks is 2 for 2 crying in GC’s and it looks good on him. Smfh

  8. Not at all. It doesn’t matter what the details are. You’re acting like you know what is in somebody’s best interests without knowing anything about them.

  10. This is a classic example of where you really need all the facts before you start spouting off your own takes on what is “best for” a player you don’t even know. Collaros’ wife has a unionized job in Ontario that she wouldn’t be able to acquire easily if she were to move to Manitoba and she also happens to be pregnant. If those two things aren’t enough reason for him to want to move back to Ontario, his family is close to the area as well. He’ll be going back to Ontario.

  11. Nice. Still chaps my ass what Eiben did back in the '07 East Final.

  12. IMHO, we need to sign MOS. Far and away most important, more so than any one player, as much as I love them. Long term stability at the top is what builds dynasties. I want the Bombers to be a dynasty, not just a flash. I'm a long term season ticket holder (since 1970), and I've seen the high's and lows over decades . What I've seen for the last number of years is a competitive team that players want to come to. Credit to Wade Miller, Kyle Walters and MOS for that. When you build the right culture, the victories will come.

  13. Disagree. Collaros showed a pocket presence. and a touch on his passes that Nichols had not shown. Yes, he made some errant passes, but considering how long he had to get to know his receivers and their tendencies in routes, he did darned well. Of, course, there are no guarantees as to where Collaros will sign, and it may come come down to good old fashioned money.

  14. I’m not particularly interested in signing Collaros. Call him a Grey Cup champion all you want, he deserves it. He didn’t play great. Our D carried us, especially in the final game and Collaros honestly is lucky he escaped the playoffs without a turnover, because he easily could’ve thrown 4 or 5 picks if not for some bad mitts by some defensive backs. Taking nothing away from him, but as a guy who isn’t a Nichols fan, Collaros didn’t do anything Nichols wouldn’t be able to do.

I am all for Hall coming back. If he retires, I suspect we promote Glen Young or Jordan Younger. I'd be happy with Young given the work he did filling in this past season when Hall took his leave.

  17. An asterisk should show that we had to play 4 games in Regina this year. Worst punishment ever.

  18. It's amazing how everyone stepped it up when it counted... Many of us, myself included, were concerned about Bighill having stepped back a slight bit this year... suddenly when the games started to matter... old Bighill was back in full form...

  19. Banks translation : they're hitting to win out here How about Simoni saying "Why is Collaros out there? He ******* sucks" Not even to Collaros, just to himself.

  20. Hard to feel too sorry for him. If he had put in one more season in Ottawa, instead of screwing them over the way he did, he'd be able to interview for all of the HC jobs now.

  21. Pro Tip: Put him on ignore. You lose absolutely nothing of substance and gain a whole lot in the signal to noise ratio. Has made my experience here remarkably better!

  23. Dan Barnes of the Toronto Sun was on CJME during Grey Cup week and stated that the first round compensation for Collaros is only in effect until the opening of FA. Once FA 2020 hits the deal is finalized. He said Pinball just wanted insurance for a chance to re-sign him.

  24. I went crazy with the in-the-moment grey champion t-shirts and caps... when the royal blue championship stuff appeared, I just rolled up my sleeves, clicked the mouse a bunch of times and got ‘er done... again!

  25. I cant stop watching that Thiadric Hansen hit lol. I smile every time I watch it. That play pretty much summed up the whole game.

My basic question about Streveler is ...has he been found yet?

  29. Which is exactly why she will be reluctant to move. Seniority isn't even protected when you switch divisions, never mind switching provinces. If they move, she starts at 0 on the seniority list. That is huge these days, with all the government cuts, if you're at the bottom you could be one of the people getting axed, you will have no more protection than a first year University graduate, the only caveat being if you teach a specialty. And yes, I do know what I'm talking about.

  31. Saying that Collaros didn't do anything Nichols wouldn't is a classic case of looking at the stats sheet to compare them Collaros's ability to use his legs to extend the play is a huge advantage over Nichols. Collaros also stretched the field much better than Nichols. I wouldn't be so quick to shortchange Collaros's impact. Not to mention the fact that his four games were against the 2nd ,3rd, and 4th best teams.

  32. Just noticing on Panzer Hansen's big hit, that he basically engaged his block about 8-10 yards from point of smashing Williams and bulldozed him the whole way..basically picking him for the last 5-6 yards and more or less tossing him into Williams...man that guys has gotta be a beast

  33. There should be an asterisk for a team finishing first and playing a grand total of 3 games against starting QBs and being gifted a weather win by the league

  34. yeah was pretty telling...And was shocked to hear Banks say that..never in my life involved in football have I ever heard a player ask "not" to get ball so much....pretty weak assed player

  35. You can't tamper with your own player. Tampering would be say, if a GM* who just traded a player away said that they wanted to re-sign them in the off-season. *GM not named Pinball cause this league loves him and he can do whatever he wants apparently.

  36. I loved Harris calling Breaux a ******* idiot for leaving Wolitarski to cover Harris in the flat, resulting in a big gain 😂

  37. Some Rider clown on twitter suggested this grey cup win should come with an asterisk because of Harris... and he was serious 🤣😂😅

  38. Yeah and to think about how worried I was that it would be the defense that would collapse but no way, they were rock solid out there. I mean really phenominal.

  41. Don't know if it has already been posted, but apparently the Bombers flew Dancing Gabe and his mom (?) to Calgary, put them up in a hotel and got them to and from the game so he could be part of the game. Class all the way. That's the sort of thing that people remember long after the game is over.

  42. Yeah there are some good guys on this team...and I hope they work with Lucky and give him a legit chance in the offence..there's nothing wrong with his hands...they just need to utilize him better. Was the consummate teammate..even after he was off the active roster he was 110% behind his guys...supporting and cheering...and putting the work in. He is by no means a one trick pony as a returner..

  43. Was there for that - Strev still loaded out of his mind - walking her around the store, you want that? It's yours. You need one of these? I don't know what it is but it's yours.

  44. Lotta revisionist history about Nichols. He took deep shots and completed deep shots before he was injured. During that 7-2 run, we had the highest-producing offense in the league and our red zone production was off the charts.

  45. imagine going all in on Cody Fajardo

  46. I’ve been on the buck pierce train for quite awhile. But there are many good cfl offensive coaches in the league that need to be looked at as well. As I said today I like Maas as an OC but I would be careful and would pass it by the teams leadership on offence before I even interviewed him. If the players would revolt then the decision is an easy “no”. Buck is my first interview and then go from there.

If Lapo is gone...I'd be more than okay with Pierce...he's been mentoring for years and is a very big part of the game day scheme...he does more than people realize...

  48. You can justify a lot of questionable behaviour. I'd rather just pay up and not create enemies. You would be foolish to think all other teams would not think twice about similar deals in the future. We already maxed out our investment, we don't win a Cup without him.
    3 points
  49. Hey, Lapo is Lapo. We should have a pretty good idea, what we get with him by now. Good game planing - features a wide variety of sets/plays, usually executed in first halfs Smaller playbook in 2nd half, or when we have the lead, later in games
