  2. watch his other strip sack of Evans against The Outstanding O-Lineman Van Zyl...made him look like he was stuck in the turf flailing away hahaha...Bryant sooooo got robbed and he played with a chip on his shoulder on Sunday too...he was all over steam rolling guys and having his edge locked down...Guys a beast of an o-lineman and I think one of the most important guys to bring back..and wouldn't be shocked if he has a deal already...or agreement...and for a while now

  3. A Bomber since 2018, Streveler’s future remains a question mark, as he’s entering free agency, but he said there’s no colours he’d rather wear than blue and gold. “I wanna come back. I’ve told everyone I really wanna be back. I think everyone knows at this point how much I love Winnipeg and how much I love the Bombers,” he said.

Maston killed it at SAM in playoffs and last few games...and would come in cheaper...hope he's resigned and he just turned 27 this month so he's right in his prime

  6. I love that Mike Jones on Mike Jones defended pass... Mike Jones caught it - then before Mike Jones could take another step to secure the ball and catch, Mike Jones just gives it a single swat and Mike Jones drops the pass... it was a thing of beauty.

  7. It's just his final, regular, media availability session. The one thing that was notable was that when he was asked "What's the percentage chance he signs a new contract?" he responded "It's pretty high".

    2019 GREY CUP CHAMPIONS!!!

BOMBERS’ TURNAROUND STARTED WITH MIKE O’SHEA By MATTHEW CAUZ https://www.cfl.ca/2019/11/29/cauz-bombers-turnaround-started-mike-oshea/ This is great read. I particularly love this bit near the end of the story: One final thought as to why I wanted to write about Mike O’Shea was seeing those shots of him hours after the game taking photos and signing autographs with the fans. Marshall Ferguson tweeted out footage of this wonderful moment saying “Two hours after winning the #GreyCup #Bombers Head Coach Mike O’Shea still signing every autograph, taking every picture, in a t-shirt, with a beer. Dude is the #CFL.” Ain't that the truth!

While a NI would be nice, Alexander really excelled there. Huge turn around on D once he took over at safety.

  14. I think it all comes down to who the OC is. I don't believe that Lapo can scheme a passing game to fit Streveler. If Lapo is back, Nichols will be the starter. I feel it is an extreme long-shot that Collaros is interested in staying here if Toronto is an option, even Ottawa might be an option too. I would like to see the Bombers hire an OC who really understands how to scheme RPO and 3 man routes to cut down the field for Streveler and use him as the weapon he is, so really a mix of Run-and-Shoot and the option stuff. Streveler draws so much attention that if we could scheme RPO with run options and quick passing/screens we'd have a very dynamic offense incorporating the skills of all the playmakers we have Harris, Demski, Grant/Whitehead/Nelson and some really big targets in Lawler and hopefully Wolitarsky.

  15. I thought maybe you guys were misinterpreting what he said. But nope. He said he shouldnt get the ball 3 plays in a row....? WTF? I mean I get that you get tired, but damn man. You're a PRO, and the MOP in CFL...he is 100% in a leadership position and completely **** all over his team mates with those words. Yeah you're going to be tired, and now you're a 2 time grey cup loser. I want to compare my own greediness when I played DB, even when I got burnt, or got picked on. Never once did I even think don't throw the ball to my guy etc...it was always, **** yeah throw the ball here and see what happens!...and I know very well my level of competitiveness isn't or at least shouldn't be near that of a professional. Just sad. If you're tired, get the **** off the field! I also thought it was cute when Williams was border line threatening Adams when they were walkin to the rooms at half. "Oh I was gonna hit you" or earlier "You talk so much, but said nothing in the streets when I saw you!" Stupid ass, non of that sounds tough. You sound like a little boy trying to be tough. On top of that Adams isn't one I'd want to **** with, (I don't know Williams history to be fair) and I've always loved the way he won't back down. But I'm glad he held that in check, he wasn't there to pick a fight. He was there to pick a ******* ring size!! And of course Mr. Overrated Lawrence..."why you comparing all these average ass players with me?!?" lol then goes on to miss tackle and tackle after tackle lol. Banks, Williams and Lawrence. All pathetic in their own special way.

  16. Everyone wants to know how it feels to win the Cup, but each time my answer seems to change. It was painful. It was sweet. It required sacrifice from many – from colleagues, friends, family. It is best described as a champagne shower falling from its victorious height to then running through our eyes and open wounds. This sting is known as the “pain of victory” as Coach O’Shea called it. That’s what it is to win the Cup. - Drew Wolitarsky https://www.bluebombers.com/2019/11/28/means-win-cup-drew-wolitarsky/

  26. You do realize Medlock kicked 7 FGs in the Grey Cup Championship, right? The highest number of FGs in a single game in the entire 2019 campaign. It's comical how you talk about others here making "Riderfan-esque" comments, and then make a post like this. Wow.

  34. I like the way Collaros reads the field , is able to buy time and feather a long pass in under the appropriate situation. He's for sure into the check down game when there is tight or overman coverage. I just really like his poise and command of the field. The only scary part is his concussion history.

  37. Or if we are restructure it. I would go heavier "in-season" bonus as opposed to prior to season bonus...and if he doesn't like that, well then take it or leave it..The team needs to protect itself just as much as the player needs to..If he is confident in himself and knows he can be the man, then he should be agreable to it. No way we are or should do a 200K winter bonus that goes directly against the cap for a number of reasons..Say he isn't 100% ready...Gets re-injured...Strev shows he has taken next step...thats a lot of coin lost before the first snap that could be allocated elsewhere to start a season

  38. Generally in the CFL a back-up with tenure...3-5 years is going to pull in 125 to 175k..depending on experience/skill...With Strev now in his 3rd year...being what he is "now" and what he "could" be, and I think will be is in that range at the least. Any other back-up you wanna bring in who is not a raw rookie is gonna be in 6 figures somewhere. You are going to have to budget for 600 to 750 k for a solid 1-2 punch and am not sure how a BC or CGY and to a lesser extent EDM can do that...they are going to have to restructure those deals, or go with a warm body at back-up basically...or bastardize your team elsewhere and we seen how that turned out, especially with B.C CGY got a bit lucky with Abuckle keeping the wolves at bay, but he was also thee last year, on a minimal deal so that helped, but as season wore on...he was less impressive Our best bet is to sign Strev to 2+ years...develop him behind Matt who we bring back on a 1 with option and further develop McGuire...See how the Nichols/Strev combo package works as season goes, and/or if Strev develops further possibly taking the reignsand you have a solid Nichols as your back-up No sense bringing in a 32 yr old off knee usury Masoli or a just as unproven more or less Arbuckle..we shown we can/will win with current duo...will it make everyone happy...nope...but really only realistic option and could be way worse

  41. There's really not a lot of griping going on here. We're discussing what we should do with this roster going forward. Nichols is a soon to be 34-year old with a significant throwing shoulder injury. Pretending like he's a must-sign and we are guaranteed success with him going forward is arguably a more ridiculous take than the alternative.

  45. Thinking the Bombers are better off without Matt Nichols is hardly an insane take, and plenty of people far smarter than me have the same opinion. Though I will admit now that they have won the cup, I’ve softened my stance on being desperate to get rid of him since there’s less urgency now. I appreciate the argument that we would have gotten more or less the same production out of Nichols that Collaros gave us and from a yards perspective, that’s probably true. But the pocket movement and awareness that Collaros has is miles better. Still, the defence was beyond dominant in all three games so yes, we more than likely win even with below average QB play. Still, Nichols is and always will be a QB that requires the rest of the team to do more or less everything right to be successful. And it’s very good timing that he joined this team just as the rest of the roster was starting to take shape. With a recent championship taking the pressure off, I don’t see a ton of long term benefit of sticking with a guy that has basically no upside, will be handed the starting job and be given an insanely long leash.
