Home Town Boys get 'er done!

This was me after this game. I'm sure my wife was wondering, WTF! But damn, man. 29 years! That's a lot of pent up frustration and heartache to let go of. I am so thankful to Wade Miller, Kyle Walters, Mike O'Shea, the entire management group, and the players for bringing home the Cup and making us all feel like champions again. While I am at it, I'd also like to thank Rich and everyone here on this forum. Being born and raised in Winnipeg and having moved to Ontario in the eighties, I don't get back to Winnipeg much, and I am very grateful for this place and all of you Bomber fans to share this with. It's awesome!

It would be an interesting development if Sean McGuire took a big step next year at camp.

Mcguire showed a lot of good things in the preseason. Definitely a guy that I too want to see more of.

McGuire looked like he had upside in the pre season and in his limited playing time. I agree with Noeller that I like how he throws the ball. I am in the intrigued by his upside camp. I mean why dump on a guy going into his second year whose what 24?

Mr. Hall, your defense was on another level on this day. I, personally, have never seen such a dominant performance by a Winnipeg defense and I've seen some very good ones. You must be as proud of these players as we are with you. We know you had a very tough year and we thank you for hanging in there and finishing the job you set out to do. Let me take this opportunity to say, thank you.

Streveler and Nichols 2 qb system. That's the ticket imo. One vet and one young guy I think is required.

He needs an OC who is willing to adapt to Streveler's strength instead of shoe horning him into being a pocket passer. LaPo has never really shown willingness to do that.

that whole thing where you go nuts at the Bomber store when you get back to Winnipeg .. yeah. this came home with us in 2016. Tag says it's the jersey is a small, our pooch is about 18 lbs and long wiry but it still fits pretty tightly. The fun part is that people in Seattle are endlessly confused about why our dog rocks a blue University of Washington sweater. U-W has a very similar block-collegiate W logo but they're purple and gold. Wonder if Nichols gets the same thing if he wears Bomber gear when he's at home in eastern WA.

Congratulations Lapo! Underrated around here but a huge contributer to our longterm success. I know he wasn't happy about not being able to interview in Saskatchewan last year but I think we saved you. Ottawa is a good fit.

I'm sure that Lapo and O'Shea had that conversation. I would think they would be up front, courteous and honest with each other.

Best of luck, LaPo. Despite the criticism he is a very good OC. He also legitimately cares about this city, and this franchise. Glad he was part of the Cup winning team. Everybody be cool give the man some due respect.

He's only been what he is told to do..and game planned for..he cant fo rogue and do his own thing or his ass would be firmly planted on bench..or PR If put in an offence to augment what he can do with his legs and the conundrums he could cause defenses with his running threat he'd be lights out..Lapo hasnt done that here He is a passer if allowed to..and with more reps and plays doing so..would get better and better..He threw for over 6000 yards and I believe 50 some odd TD's...4100 of it in his senior season..a QB coming out of college with the label attached to them as a runner dont do that..they pass for 2000..2800 yards a year..Much like Fajardo was labelled a runner..was only used as that but for a chance..ans grew into it..that's after 4 years of college as a QB and his 4th year in cfl..Strev has had 2 years of college experience and 2 years here and from what he has accomplished so far being so raw is pretty amazing..given another year or so of grooming by the time he hits 26 he's gonna be a top dawg..and u can quote me on that now..

If that guy can ever learn to read a D (something that only comes with experience) he'll be the best QB we've recruited in years and years. That guy looks like a pro QB. I don't know a lot about "mechanics" but I like how he throws a football. He just seems like a pro QB in the pocket.

What because a 2nd year qb isn't Doug flutie? Streveler has sky high potential and already has shown some ability as a passer.

I would 100% roll the dice on Arbuckle and Streveler rather than Nichols or Collaros...

Well giants try out anyone and everyone..I'm sure I could get one too hahah Yeah a workout is one thing..or a minute camp but good majority of time your just a body..at his size..he will have to be something exceptional..NFL is too drawn to and hooked on measurables and body type..as well as politics in regards to draft..etc..wish him well but I'd be shocked if he stuck. And that's our gain as I cant see him not back here if it doesnt pan out in NFL

In the Grey Cup game Streveler threw with pinpoint accuracy and had great zip on the ball, with a bum leg. Two good legs and he most certainly can throw a very nice ball indeed.

I've got it, they can celebrate the first western final in the new barn, shoot, that doesn't work either... Hope that Collaros gets a nice pregame Grey Cup ring presentation ceremony or something the first time he comes back to Winnipeg. From broken-down castaway QB to out-of-nowhere Grey Cup hero, that's a great story to add to Winnipeg's football lore; give the fans another chance to applaud him.

So...Rider's openly state they are interviewing someone for an O.C position...when they still have their O.C under contract??..quite the professionally ran front office there, and sure to not cause any riffs within your staff...like wtf? So if Mass declines, or they (Riders) decide he not the right fit...they just tell Macadoo..."hey man we wanted you all along..."...greasy organization I hope Mass goes elsewhere and Macadoo up and quits on eve of TC...
