On the cusp of a new year and a new decade, my wish for all here is that in 365 days after a year of celebrating, bemoaning and bickering, may we all meet here again in good health and peace. Sempre avanti!

At the time of the injury, Masoli was the best qb in the CFL. Why would he be expected or be happy to be #2 in Hamilton? I believe that Masoli wasn't signed to be the backup. He was signed to start. Perhaps Ti Cat coaches & management weren't happy with Evans after the Grey Cup game as he looked to be in a huge snit the more hits & sacks he took. He was yelling at his blockers & his body language was terrible. I remember Jim Barker trying to calm Evans down on the sidelines. Mentally he had checked out of the Grey Cup game by the third quarter. Perhaps Steinhauer felt Evans needs another year to watch & learn how to remain calm & handle pressure? Just speculating here.

Happy New Year all. As we know, tonight’s game is not a recipe for long term success, but it’s another much needed win. Totally not sustainable, but I’m going to ignore that..... For now.

Masoli re-sign. Would have comfortably bet against it...my guess is there was too much uncertainty around the injury for Masoli to test the market so why not wait it out a year? All my friends are here, know the system...and perhaps a chance to get my job back ?

If we choose..our playbook and plays can be the same...Lapo leaving doesnt mean the playbook does too..its the Bombers My hope is we build off...some..of his stuff and expand to things to truly take advantage of certain play makers..it will actually allow Harris to be more successful as well..

No I sure we wont stand pat..Mike Jones has emerged and can easily replace one or other..also Alexander can play either spot too..if we flip the safety back to a National spot (not named Hecht) Rios as well has great potential and tho exposed a bit late in yr that was more due to inexperience and the fact our safety at the time couldn't cut it. Not too worried about the defensive back losses to be honest...it sucks but that's the business...

You guys are in a great situation... Dane is a really good QB, of he continues his growth, he will be in the elite group of QBs. The only time he lost his poise and looked flustered all season was in the Grey Cup - the fact he never had anytime to in pocket was probably the reason. But other than that game where we dominated the LoS, Dane has looked really good. Having Masoli healing up and ready for the second half push and into the Play offs will be great for the Ticats. I don't see a trade at all for Masoli, the only way that happens is if the Ticats don't make the Play offs... And I don't foresee that happening, i am fully expecting to see the ticats in the GC. If we aren't in the GC, I am totally rooting for the Ticats.

And vince had a title run, physique or not, it was still stupid. Stephanie had a women's titlevrun which sucked. Shane had a us title run. HHH booked himself as champ for years. WWE is entirely guilty of marking out in exactly the way tony khan did.

I'm glad that Rose and Kongbo have landed at least the possibility of full-time employment down south. Good for them, and bad for us. I just hope that they remember Winnipeg if things don't work out. Organization is all in on Evans. He won't lose starting job unless he has the worst camp of his life and Masoli , if hes even there, vice versa, in other words, improbable. Reg season? Wheels would have to come completely off multiple times and Masoli will have to be demonstrably better, again, I don't know how realistic a scenario that is. Masoli parked his career for a season in the primo parking spot. Facing out, close to the door, easy out...whole issue starts all over again late 2020....if he isn't traded by then.

The Arquette winning the title was one of the main things that killed WCW (along with many others). Many people look back at WCW dying after they did that. That only validates my point...

So to put it in perspective... you are saying Hamilton would rather go with a guy coming off a major injury, who is 6 years older, much more mileage, had an inferior statistical season, who didn't take the team to a grey cup, who more then likely won't be healthy at the beginning of the season over the young guy who showed more in one season then Masoli did in his previous 5?

Brandon, in the 80's you had Bobby Heenan wrestling Greg Gagne in a chicken suit. Terry Taylor put red dye in his hair & was the Red Rooster. You had Doink The Clown. There were a lot of stupid angles back then just like today.

The idea that education is liberal is ludicrous. The only thing that happens is that education and critical thinking makes people question the obvious bullshit that right wing parties spin. So an educated voter base is bad for their chances of being elected so they actively try and keep people stupid.

I think that has more to do with Nichols than playcalling. Nichols settled into this ball protection mindset and completely lost the mid-range 10-20 yard passing game. Good for him, kept him employed and on the field because he's relatively safe. Give the team a chance to win without turnovers. With Collaros being a little more confident in his ability to make those throws our offense was a little more dynamic and less reliant on Harris making something out of nothing in the passing game.

I finally got a chance to see the movie and now scrolling through this thread. I won’t make any comments, but just something that went through my mind at the end. I was a kid when A New Hope came out, so I was part of the generation that grew up with it from the start. Back then I remember Lucas talking about how he had nine movies planned. Then, after ROTJ when Lucas said he was done with it, I always thought “OK, we got three movies out of it”, and didn’t think there would be anymore. Then in the late 90's he announced the prequel trilogy, and after those it seemed like that was it. And now we finally got nine movies. The whole series has its ups and downs, good and bad, would have been nice if it had been planned from start to finish to make it more coherent. But I sat there during the closing credits and thought “wow – I never thought I would actually see nine Star Wars movies". It took 42 years to get there. Regardless of the quality of the whole series, I’m so glad that I got to see the end one way or the other.

My favourite moment was watching Keith Urban waiting to call up his agent and fire him.
