It's your ridiculous, ignorant, nonsensical comments like these in this thread that make me so, so glad the Ti-Cats got embarrassed in the Grey Cup. Do you put any actual thought whatsoever into what you post in this sub-forum? Or are your antics here just some feeble attempt to troll threads?3 points -

Drop off in stats does not mean drop off in performance. To keep his performance level high, the Bombers may wish to give him fewer touches, so each time he does touch the ball, he has the same impact. He seems ageless but at some point, the miles will catch up with him.2 points

Oh for sure. And Trump is a simpleton. We know he accuses everyone of things he does or wants to do. His remarks about Obama are a perfect window into trumps thinking. He doesn’t want a measured response because he doesn’t think it will trigger the war he badly wants nor would it take down coverage of impeachment which gets worse for trump everyday. I think trump sees this very very simply as his racist base is all about fake demonstrations of power and strength (hence his behaviour at so many rallies) and that you can’t replace a war time president. He’s mad he was caught and polls are turning so he wants to punch someone in the face and get cheered. We’ve all known fake tough guys and trump is text book. And what he really wants is Iran to do something they would be considered an act of war so trump can take America to war and claim it was self defence. He badly wants a 9/11 though he’d probably prefer it be on foreign soil so no one can say he didn’t keep them safe. He’s a mad man. Worse he’s a mad man that is also very very stupid and prone to ignoring the smart people around him. Remember when trump talked tough on NK and then was going to use his charm and negotiating skills to bring them under control? Yeah well he’s gonna to be as successful in Iran as he was in NK. He’s playing right into their hands. He got worked like a hand puppet.1 point -

Killing the Iranian General does nothing to protect Americans, he has people in place that will carry out any plans that may or may not of been in place, Trump sees his polls numbers dropping he has been impeached and pressure on the Senate will make proceedings not go as smoothly as his enablers think it will.1 point -
No..but Lapo over used him and neglected other aspects of the offence..and with more variation and more uncertainty where the ball is going will actually make Harris's touches more productive as he cant be keyed on 80 percent of time like in Lapos offence1 point

Trumps foreign policy seems to be to yell as loud as possible, make bizarre threats and turn everyone against the US. He continues to tweet incredible things about how big the US military is and threatening Iran. He’s an absolute joke. And you get the real sense he’s going to do something really really bad before it’s all over. If he appears to be losing the election or impeachment he’s going to do something....bad. Very bad.1 point -

Haha wrong. The irony is the trump chumps who have spent years burying the intelligence agencies are now using them to say see see we had to act. Can’t have it both ways. no one is pretending this guy wasn’t bad and the world isn’t better off without him. The reasonable people are rightly convinced this is ill conceived without a plan other than to distract from trumps crimes and because president bone spurs believes war guarantees him a second term.1 point -

It wouldn't be the end of the world. Hard to imagine repeating with all the NFL talent lost but the off season is long and many things can change. Nichols plus a first vs collaros is going to be an interesting decision. I think the next thing for the Canadian mafia to work on is a qb that can be elite and dominate. They have the security to invest the time in development now. So I hope McGuire and streveler are back if they can be that guy. And I hope that the youth movement isn't repressed by some one who won't lose games when 100%1 point -

Why is everyone okay with letting Adams walk? He was still our most impactful receiver in playoffs 11-10 22 CGY 2 6 105 1 52.5 71 11-17 23 SSK 4 8 93 0 23.3 63 60+ yard touchdown against Calgary. 60 yard reception against Sask when we were pinned at our goal line. Quiet in the cup with 2 of 3 with one drop for 11 yards, but still. We can't afford to lose our one international receiver who has actually shown he is capable of explosion plays.1 point

All 3 games were important for me. For different reasons as all the games told a different story. The Semi Final: Going into a Bomber wasteland called McMahon Stadium & beating the highly favoured Stamps in a playoff game there for the first time since 1965. First skeleton kicked out of the closet. Defeating the Riders in their House in the Western Final to avenge the 1972 Western Final loss to that team & have the ball hit the crossbar in the end zone on the last play of the game was as flukey as the Riders winning in 1972 at Winnipeg Stadium with their last play wide FG attempt being kicked in & out of the end zone 3 times, only for the Bombers to be called for No Yards allowing Riders kicker jack Abendschan a second chance 15 yards closer to make the kick, for us to lose &leaving me to agonize over that game for 47 years. Second skeleton chucked out of the closet. Then to dominate the Ti Cats the way we did unexpectedly so we could finally feel the joy of winning Lord Earl Grey's Cup for the first time in 29 years. Third & final skeleton tossed out. The Curse was finally expunged. All 3 hold as much importance for me. It was a magical run...1 point -
How About that Other Worldly Play-Off Defense?
Mark H. reacted to Eternal optimist for a topic
2011 was my first year as a season ticket holder so it'll always hold a special place in my heart. That said... I much prefer the blue collar, grind it out, shut-up-and-play style of D we fielded for the 2019 playoffs. It was ruthless and majestic at the same time. What I find interesting between the two teams is the difference down the stretch... 2011 got off to a torrid start (7-1), but never could rekindle that magic. They won the East, so getting into the Grey Cup wasn't particularly difficult (first round bye, had to win 1 game against a 0.500 Tabbies team). 2019 also got off to a great start (5-0), faced even more adversity (lost our starting QB) but pulled it together down the stretch instead of fading away. The 2019 squad certainly took the road less traveled... and did so in glorious underdog fashion.1 point
