Rudolph (6-1, 186, Florida State, September 15, 1995, West Palm Beach, FL) comes to Winnipeg after playing three seasons at Florida State with the Seminoles. Rudolph caught 153 passes for 2,311 yards and 18 touchdowns. Following his college career, Rudolph played for the New York Giants making eight catches for 101 yards, as well as played for the Miami Dolphins, where he was placed on the practice roster. Ross (6-6, 225, Kentucky, July 8, 1994, West Chester, OH) caught 19 passes for 286 yards without a touchdown as a senior at UK. Ross closed his UK career with three catches for 67 yards in the 2017 Music City Bowl. Duck (5-10, 170, Appalachian State, May 3, 1998, Matthews, N.C) recorded 158 tackles (102 solo), 12 interceptions, one sack, 324 punt return yards and one touchdown in his 39-games three year career with Appalachian State. Boynton (6-0, 190, Austin Peay State University, June 30 in Detroit, MI.) was in training camp with the club in 2019. He played four seasons for the Austin Peay Governors, tallying 158 total tackles, 11 pass deflections, three forced fumbles and one interception in 43 games. In his senior year, Boynton was named team captain and led the Governors to an eight-win season. In 2018, Boynton spent time with the Pittsburgh Steelers and Memphis Express of the AAF. Peters (6-0, 235, Louisiana-Lafayette, February 27, 1994 in Covington, Louisiana) played two season with the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns, totalling 162 tackles, two sacks, two fumble recoveries and four pass deflections in 25 games. In 2017, Peters signed with the Seattle Seahawks as an undrafted free agent. He also spent time with the Washington Redskins and Kansas City Chiefs, playing in three NFL games.

  3. No, he meant the Argos. I'm sure being in the steel industry, Stern is from Hamilton. That was such a Hamilton response & it was an hilarious moment. Randy Ambrosie just about fell out of his chair when he heard that. Stern - "Can I say that?" Ambrosie - "You just did!!" Stern was asked about Percival Molson Stadium & if the new ownership would commit to building a new stadium. He answered that he would concentrate on getting the fans back in the stands & then once the team is profitable look at building a new facility. No mention was made of the Als moving to a new baseball stadium if Montreal gets a MLB team back. Stern said that they would be "patient owners". That is, they will hire the right football people & put them into place & pay them to make football decisions. They will not be involved in the day to day football or business operations of the team. They may give advice from time to time but they will leave decision making to the people they hire. Bob Young was in attendance but at the back of the room out of sight. Stern paid tribute to Young saying he helped he & Spiegel through the purchase of the Als as well as calming him down this morning as he was extremely nervous as he is not a public speaker. he then asked Bob if the Als could have their draft picks back which got a rise out of those in the room in referencing the one sided trade that sent Johnny Manziel & 3 first round picks to the Als last year. They got involved in discussions with the league 3 1/2 weeks ago. This has been a fast process, said Stern. Ambrosie then explained that there was delay in the sale because the business groups he met for the most part were under financed. Or the principles of who were involved would change from meeting to meeting. With Spiegel & Stern they've been business partners for 42 years so the dynamic won't change. Stern said the team is well funded & money is not an issue. Ambrosie said they met with 7 to 10 groups wanting to buy the Alouettes.

  6. Basically it was his read progression and his inexperience with it...get that solved and he will be fine. He was not used to, and experienced in the route progressions and timing and it affected his read, and a lot of time he would be like "oh!! there it is" and would a lot of times rush things and throw balls being not set, and having no base, or platform to make the throw properly..resulting in what we saw...somethng that is easily fixed with time and reps, and we have seen already. He needs to slow himself down, then the game will slow down for him...

  7. You think they are waiting to get a WR coach to tell them which QB to go after? Doesn't make any sense. It makes a little more sense if they are waiting to get a QB coach, but not much. That's an entry level spot for ex QB's to get into coaching, not a guy who gets much of a say in who the QB will be. In fact, if the QB doesn't like the QB coach, you change the QB coach.

If you think Arbuckle is the long term answer at QB, first overall and a third is a steal of a deal.

Usually grooming a tailback means signing them & finding the best one to play. Then cutting the guy he replaces. Don't think we're there yet with Harris. Besides, he'll never be cut. He'll retire.

  16. Maybe not timing as much as having a good feel for his receivers speed in deep routes - When he took over for Nichols he started by overthrowing everybody on deep routes, and then proceeded to start underthrowing guys which resulted in a bunch of picks.

    2019-20 CFL Offseason

It’s a sad thought but if we’re realistic, the fall off a cliff production-wise is coming at some point in the relatively near future for Harris. 33-year old running backs that are even remotely productive are extremely rare. Not saying it’s a certainty but I think every good performance we get from Harris from here on out is a bonus.

  25. Even if we put Niku on the fourth line and spot him on our powerplay it would be an upgrade...but no Maurice is gonna take his time inserting Niku... we already have a vaunted 4th line and a 6d that leave other teams drooling ,what's the hurry?

    Do You Use Chat?

oh another reason I don't use chat is that sometimes the streams I watch can be 30 seconds to a minute behind TSN or live, so the chat is kind of spoilery.

Drop off in stats does not mean drop off in performance. To keep his performance level high, the Bombers may wish to give him fewer touches, so each time he does touch the ball, he has the same impact. He seems ageless but at some point, the miles will catch up with him.
