  3. Yep, and when he got back, he joked about how his late start to the season was due to him exhausting all his NFL options. 😂

  8. this was actually a decent blog for a young guy... shows more insight and knowledge than most of the beat writers that "cover" the Bombers...

  9. I did too. But every single time I've counted this guy out. He proves me wrong! I'm firmly on his team now!!

  14. Thomas was actually released and we were moving on...but some TC injuries occured and we needed that natinal rotation guy and voila...he was back....if that hadn't happened most likely he would have been done as nobody else seemed interested in him....but gotta admit he has been serviceable for us if kept in a minimal role...wouldn't want him as our defacto "starter" this year, but would be a nice sub for say a Cleon Laing if we went that route...most likely at expense of Nevis..which would suck.....so sure wish we can find a bonafice National Safety

  15. Posey just released, wouldn't be against him if he can stay healthy.

  16. The guy was ready to give up football not that long ago, good to see his desire to play has been reignited I assumed he would walk away after we won.

  17. I like to the Bombers to pursue this guy.

  18. The guys on 1290 keep bringing this article up, while I mostly agree one point that annoys me is the reference to his play off play. They keep bringing up 2016-2017 numbers while completely ignoring that the guy is no longer the same player as he was during those years. As I posted a long time ago his numbers were great until his first injury... since then it's plummeted and he has not look the same at all. At this point their is no comparison.

  20. Not enough can be said about the Bombers providing Manitobans with the opportunity to share in the Grey Cup experience. For example, John Rush and Thomas Miles visiting the Children’s Rehab along with Boomer the mascot. Terrific experience for all I’m sure. Well done!

  23. can never say enough good things about Matt Nichols the QB and Matt Nichols the person. On and off the field, he was a fantastic Bomber and Manitoban. Sad to see him go, and hope he has several years of success in football yet!

  34. The Bombers need to bring in a QB with some CFL experience. Pipkin's at least won a couple of CFL games. He's young. He has some upside. If we sign him, he may not even make it through camp, but we still need extra camp arms anyway.

  38. Napa Auto Parts sponsoring the "Grey Cup Tour Of Manitoba" was huge....I'm counting down the days until I'm back home for a week at the end of March, and hoping that there'll be some random opportunity to get a pic with it that week. Have multiple pics with the cup over the years, but need one where I'm actually allowed to touch it now.... #CurseBroken

  39. Matty "Game Manager" Nichols. Thank you sir. You gave me back the one thing I thought I would never lose: hope. I thank you sincerely from the bottom of my blue and gold colored heart for that. 👍👍👍

  40. Thank you for being instrumental in leading this team out of a dark place and playing a huge role in leading this team back to glory. I'm completely convinced we would not have developed the culture of success to be a perennial playoff team and winners of the Grey Cup this season without you. Wherever you go from here I will always be a fan of yours and wish you nothing but success (except against the Bombers). Signed, A lifelong Winnipeg Blue Bomber fan

  48. Pre-Ryan RIgmaiden, I'd have said sign at least 2 high profile receivers in FA. However, with what he has unearthed for us last year, I have complete confidence he has another couple of great receiver recruits coming for camp this year. In BC he demonstrated a fantastic ability to find good receivers and after getting his feet wet here he is starting to exponentially raise the bar on our receiving recruits. I say leave it to Rigmaiden. Lawler and Bailey both look like keepers and are CFL experienced now, all we really need is one good rookie. Use FA to target the ratio on defence, bolster our DL if need be, and keep our outstanding depth level. That is assuming that Adams returns of course.
