  1. What’s the difference between his voices and thinking that god gives a **** about football ha

  2. Totally like this..hugely underrated and is a big time leader and respected in the room. Makes one think he signed for a mutual pleasing deal too...and we can allocate some extra funds to Willie if need be. I think Rhymes may be a target..to battle with new guys and Bailey for the 3rd import spot..

  3. So apparently Adam's turned down more from Ottawa to stay in the Peg..shows what a quality organization and team concept will do for you..props to Darvin too...solid Hopefully Willie does the same again

  5. We needed Adams. 60+ yard TD in the WSF that began our run of dominance. Followed it up with a 50 yard reception in the western final when we were pinned at our 1 yard line. Arguably 2 of our biggest plays in those games. He was the only guy who brought the explosion plays he did.

  6. Happy that Adams is back. I liked his chemistry in the limited sample with Collaros. Adams/Lawler/Bailey/Woli/Demski is a nice group.

  7. Alexander-Jones-Exume-Taylor-Boynton (Hallett) Wilson-Bighill-Maston (Rios) Jeffcoat-Thomas-Richardson-McAllister (Hansen-Griffiths) Bryant-Desjarlais-Speller-Neufeld-Hardrick (Gray-Tui) Adams-Lawler-Bailey-Demski-Woli (Peterman-Nelson-Whitehead-Grant) Harris (Augustine-Oliviera-Miller-Rush) Collaros (McGuire) Medlock-Rempel I just like pointing out how its early February - and even if we sign NO ONE - this roster looks deeper than most of our training camp rosters in the last 10+ years... Jefferson, Franklin, Miles, Nevis and Ackie sure would be be unreal...

    2019-20 CFL Offseason

There still has been no mention of any actual firm numbers..all is speculative..and the beauty part is we dont have to declare a number..so we gotta be in drivers seat u would think...and Willie must be seeing we retained most of the team..so a repeat or at least deep playoff success has to be appealing to him

  10. Time to re-watch the big game and review how Darvin completely took Frankie W and Simoni off their games.

  13. Surprised people are already starting to “he’s not THAT good” this guy. I want him back. Period.

  15. The same receiving core that won a grey cup is a mess? While I won't say our receivers and dbs are world beaters... they are far from being a mess.

Well I'd say its a done deal then... time to start bashing WJ and pumping Laing's tires

  18. We have depth at Canadian and American receiver positions. Depth at Canadian RB. Depth on the o-line. The rest we can go through the draft and training camp signings. We are in much more need of pieces at DB and DL

  19. With Woli, Peterman and Demski, do we need Brescasin? I'd rather focus on D, Jefferson or Davis, maybe Ackie and some value pieces.

  20. Be interesting take with Rider fans reaction when he signs Garuantee you if he signs elsewhere it really screws us and whomever instantly gets better..but if he re-signs in Wimmipeg Walter's is a fool..huge over pay for 6-7 games of production...we will see soon

  21. 3 years! Awesome, Love Darvin. Total pro, big time leader. I am positive this will be a reasonable deal.

  22. I know in a previous thread I was questioning Darvins top end skill. But there's no questioning that he's the type of player you want on your team. This signing feels good

  23. After the way he traumatised Evans in the Grey Cup probably just don't want to see that **** happen again.

  27. No..never said that...what i said if he goes there..he prob only signing for 1 yr regardless...and when the season isnt all shots and giggles there..could sign following year back here..or elsewhere for less than what he will have got in T.O..especially if they blow their balls out surpassing our250k+ money.. And yes..from experience I seen..and know first hand of players signing for less somewhere because it was a better overall experience..call it more awesome or whatever you want..but as Strev said.."that's facts" Btw..I rarely if ever babble in Whah whah Rider like fashion..I speak from a place of experience.. or from the mouths of people in places that are legit...but wont divulge names openly on a forum..

  30. Not quite. Kongbo was a big time NFL prospect before his injury. He’s an elite level prospect when healthy.

  33. Its more exciting than the NFL. Thats for sure. Ppl need to just enjoy it and stop criticising week 1 of season 1. CFL sucks for weeks also

  36. Yeesh people over blowing a simple post from his wife.... you don't think maybe she's happy that they are on a free vacation and the end result will be him making more money?

  37. And he already has at least one lawsuit for doing that from WWE shareholders.

  39. Whitfield on LA has some nice patience and vision. The football isn’t great but it’s not as bad as some of you are making it out to be. This is week one of eight expansion teams, will take some time for these guys to build chemistry, especially O line.

    The TV Thread

Honestly I'd call this gig an upgrade. He was doing well with Bell (good salary, benefits, pension, union...) but provincial government has some awesome benefits to it as well, and I'd speculate better job security than traditional media right now, especially for gentlemen of a certain vintage...

    Thank you Matt Nichols

Now that you are officially gone, I will echo these thanks for your role as our QB on the field, but I'd also like to thank you for the person you were off the field. Making Winnipeg your home for your family, staying during the winter for promotional purposes, for the love you showed the community, even when that love was not returned by those who forgot that behind the player was a human being. And a HUGE thank you for your family's $10,000 donation to the Children's Hospital Foundation. You were first class all the way in my books, and I hope you have a happy, healthy, and successful continuation of your career in Toronto. You will always stand as a Grey Cup champion quarterback who helped end the drought for Winnipeg.
