He went to the Riders & didn't play much or was a difference maker. Just like Fernandez with only 225 yards his last season. They both got by on their reputations.1 point -

It does terminate pregnancies, yes. COVID on the other hand kills born people (they matter too, after all), and you can't abort people by coughing on them or ignoring social distancing guidelines. False equivalency.1 point -

Or, when we they argue it has a similar fatality rate to the flu, because many who have COVID 19 are unidentified. I suppose they think every single case of the flu is recorded?1 point -
Right right....as I do my best to forget. Forgive me for not remembering such an illustrious part of our past...1 point

I was really struck by how many people I always assumed were intelligent and reasonable (some I always knew word morons) that are really showing their true selves. Conspiracy theorists. Deniers. People who just don’t understand how contagious viruses are spread. And it’s not even political. I have a friend in Toronto. Very left. She’s all in on this being a hoax and a 5G conspiracy.1 point -

And some who have it are not being tested. My friend showed up for testing and was told they wouldn’t test even though all the symptoms were present, and the health care workers acknowledged it as well. My friend them said “I’m an essential worker” (they are, not lying) and they reversed their decision and tested. Results are pending, but it shows that they are still being selective in who they test.1 point -

Stegall finally got a good qb and he started breaking records. The guy is the absolute best. And the times he was in the grey cup game he was also fantastic. Just let down by rhe5rest of the team. Him not having a cup is the greatest shame in CFL history.1 point

It's Pitts/Stegall at the top and then Geroy a ways back of them both in 3rd........ I won't even listen to any other argument.1 point

never, ever in his career could Milt be accused of not showing up... that man give 100% to every game, every practice, every workout... that's why he's the CFL's GOAT receiver...1 point
-
One thing that often goes overlooked (overshadowed by Cameron and Westwood tough games) is how good Milt played in the 01 GC game. He was outstanding and made a TD catch in triple coverage that is, to this day, one of the greatest football catches I've ever seen in my life.1 point

That team was always able to make up for lack lustre starts with fiery comebacks. Until the last game...1 point

it's not just hospitals that can get overwhelmed. it's supply chains in general if you get a bunch of extra people in an area that aren't normally there. We already see in large cities store shelves that are empty, don't need to put further strain on small communities.1 point -
Covid-19

That's the only way to do it. Some bad **** going down at the Cargill meat packing plant in High River about 35 minutes south of Calgary They went from 38 cases 3 days ago to over 350 today. Eighty per cent are foreign workers with multiple families living in one or 2 bedroom apartment in town. Combine that with working conditions such as having people being elbow to elbow apart on a production line means the virus is spreading like wildfire. Cargill was deemed an essential service by the provincial government so the company refuses to shut down. They supply something like a third of all meat to this country & that is why the AB govt doesn't want to close the meat packing plant down. Employees are now talking anonymously to the media saying they're afraid to go to work, They said that Cargill supervisors are phoning employees who were already exposed but asymptomatic in quarantine telling them they have to go back to work or else they'll be fired defying the 14 day quarantine law. Some of the sick employees are still wanting to work because if they don't they'll miss attendance bonuses. Of course, Cargill is denying any of this has happened & said they have brought in measures to clean the plant more thoroughly & made self distancing easier in the crowded workplace. Cargill said they even laid off an entire shift of a thousand employees to make sure this happens. However, employees are saying measures aren't enough & crowding is still a huge problem. After all is said & done there will probably be a provincial enquiry & I wouldn't be surprised if criminal charges are even laid. Alberta Health Services, Cargill, the AB govt & Health Canada are all complicit in this. They all know what is going on & are turning a blind eye so now there's a serious outbreak going on. The union, townspeople & NDP opposition are screaming bloody murder & rightly so.0 points -
