To be fair, any drive that takes you out of Saskatchewan could be classified as the most enjoyable drive of your life.

All I know is, without Ambrosie, this would never have happened.

After almost two months of working from home, I'm going back to work next week! it'll be one or two times a week though because we are taking baby steps though I will still have to work from home on those other one or two days I won't come in (I work part time)

Proving to be true...

I'm not as concerned about the CFL not having a firm business plan for their initial meeting. Ambrosie explained prior to that meeting that they were just going there to say "Listen, we are totally and completely f***ed if you don't help us..." and that was about it. He just wanted to make sure they knew that. After that, then they'd go into the nuts and bolts and come back with something more official. I'm 75% confident this is all going to work out and the feds will find a way to keep the CFL going until there's a vaccine and fans can come back.

I was in Regina for the West Final (which is now the best CFL game I have ever attended live, replacing the 1994 Division Final against Baltimore and the Matt Dunigan 713 game as my previous co-favorites), and driving home after I listened to the entire pre-game, game and post-game show on the CJOB audio vault just to hear how Bob Irving called the game I had just seen live. Most enjoyable 6 hour drive of my life.

Re-watched the West Semi this weekend. I could watch that game over and over again, just like the Grey Cup. The Stamps came into that game with such a high amount of arrogance. There was no way they thought they could lose. I honestly think that they made the cardinal error of looking past Winnipeg before the game started as they were so certain that Winnipeg would be a simple speed bump and their real competition was going to be Sask to get to the Cup. The fact that they could actually lose the game didn't start sinking in until the 4th quarter when they suddenly realized that the game was rapidly slipping out of their grasp and panic mode started up. The look on the sidelines between Bo Levi and Dave Dickenson after Bo threw the INT (to Maston I think, or Taylor) was priceless. Just this death stare between them as the two arrogant ****-heads try to process how the Bombers are kicking their asses, and how they never saw it coming. Just so awesome. I actually paused the game at that time and did a CR toast to the Bombers, as that was just so enjoyable.

I think Ambrosie should have dealt with the P.A. before going to the Fed. govt. cap in hand, having a whole load of wishy-washy maybe factors involved in the negotiations makes it much more difficult for the Feds. to approve. No 2020 season means no income which translates to no pay for the players beyond what has already been handed out, if that means every current player gets cut and they start over with new lineups in 2021 so be it, the survival of the CFL is at stake. This is not the time to negotiate with an organization that can't see past the end of their noses, cut the players loose, cut expenses to the bone, then go to the govt. cap in hand with a realistic request that will help preserve the structure of the league.

Yeah if they use Sting like the other old guys it will be perfect. I don't want to see sting wrestle every week on Dynamite. Once might be good even then they have so much young talent that I would rather see in the ring.

It will be interesting to see how states like Michigan, Wisconsin, Florida, Ohio and Pennslyvania vote. Trump won them all last time in close races. I don't see that happening again.

MLB, NFL, NFL and NHL are all around the $200-150 mark. I know I got NFL through Dazn the last couple years it was $20 a month. Also the casual fan is not going to shell out that kind of money to do PPV.

The way Trump apparently rails against his campaign staff for bad polls, it wouldnt surprise me if that staff, at some point, accept their plight and stop giving Trump the truth. They'll tell him the polls are all wrong or biased and their numbers show a landslide victory. And he'll get beat badly and they will finally be rid of him.

Reality has a left bias. That's really the problem in the States. Republicans and things such as Fox News have dragged the conversation so far into right field anything that isn't out there right wing nonsense has a "left" bias. besides, things such as reports of people calling for Barr to resign are simply facts and don't need to worry about bias. Now if there's a bit on "what this means" then that is susceptible to bias, but factual reporting without an editorial attached to it then no need to worry if the facts are sourced correctly.

As long as the same standard of factual reporting is given to all sources going forward, then I am okay with that.

I have to agree with this ^^. Present the problem, see how you have to work it out, then do it. He had to get some sort of message out there, with or without the CFLPA. It’s interesting to note that MLB is only now negotiating pay structure after setting the parameters around which a season could be played. Both sides are dickering as to how much pay the players receive before whatever fans that are allowed to attend. They don’t have a plan how to do this as yet.

You're a real "right" person if you support this President and what he's doing. This is what the GOP was meant to stand for. They're just so weak and egocentric and likely, many of them compromised. That's a horrible way to negotiate. Never go in with a number you can't justify. If you do, you get the other sides backs up and it makes it harder, if not impossible, to come to an agreement.

Feds said today that they need a proper business plan from the league and PA before they can move forward on this. Read a quote from one MP who said "we can work with them, if they present a proper business plan...and the sooner the better". So I get the impression that things are relatively positive, but the league needs to get it's **** together in a real hurry.
