I think the only predictions we should be trying to make is "Can they actually finish this thing without having to shut it down due to COVID"?2 points -

Barr’s whole disposition and how he easily exudes ‘I don’t give a poop what you think about me and how I do things’ is all together alarming, scary, maddening, exhausting and bewildering. And yes lurkers I’m sure people who previously held this position didn’t wear a halo over their head but that doesn’t justify his actions at all. What about arguments aren’t really valid arguments, they are weak, lazy and lack critical thinking.1 point -

I will say we get through the whole playoffs if we get through the the play-in round. If this collapses it will collapse early, like MLB.1 point -

They might if it was a case of kotnhaving enough supplies. My company has basically said they can't source N95 masks. not really a big deal since what we wear half masks or full face masks anyway. My wife works at SAIT and for them the price of sourcing procedural masks has gone up exponentially. And when you need millions of masks it adds up quick when they can be over a dollar per mask just because everyone is buying masks so prices jump.1 point

Covid-19
Mr Dee reacted to SpeedFlex27 for a topic
No health care professional is using them twice at the Tom Baker Cancer Centre in Calgary where my wife works. Cancer patients have compromised immune systems from chemo & radiation therapy. No physician or nurse in their right mind would ever wear a used N95 mask treating them & putting their lives at risk.1 point -

I will give Ambrosie credit for one thing, this Covid Bubble Hub City plan, if implemented properly, is a thousand times more thought out than the disastrous MLB plan. An Epidemiologist in Toronto publicly said that it was a well thought out plan.1 point -

Covid-19
Mr Dee reacted to blue_gold_84 for a topic
This topic is not so trivial as you initially seemed to claim. There are a multitude of factors when it comes to reusing a particulate filtration mask like the N95 variety, which is something I learned when I became an OHS member at my workplace back in 2015. Sanitation and contamination are two significant factors that must be considered when reusing masks. The slightest mishandling can result in the mask's efficacy being compromised, either by touching it with contaminated hands, exposure to dust or moisture, or improper donning methods and storage methods. It's not just a matter of rotating them on a daily basis and chucking them in a paper bag until the next use. Also, nobody's offended; we're all here discussing the pandemic.1 point -
Renaming Sports Teams

It's not about being right. But if one were to look at things objectively and rationally since the Jets 2.0 became a thing, the only "stink" surrounding the Winnipeg Jets lately was some white-guilt afflicted whackadoodle crying about the Whiteout Party last spring. It died fast and that was the end of it. Two shitty obscure op-eds from nearly a decade ago by a couple of whiny losers counts for next to nothing, if not nothing at all.1 point -

As always, the cflpa will fold faster than superman on laundry day. They just don't have as much bargaining power as they would like to have. There are probably thousands of guys out there who would love the opportunity to play professional football and unlike the NFL you don't have the best of the best to make it mean anything.1 point
