Not sure if it was posted yesterday, but the entire city of Toronto (3 million + people...) had exactly 1 confirmed case yesterday. Ontario has finally got **** figured out. Alberta has had 4 consecutive days of declining numbers. Too soon to celebrate, but here's hoping the message regarding masks and better social distancing in public is starting to get through...

It may be my fuzzy memories of being a young guy... but whenever I watched KD Williams play live it seemed like he continuously made big plays (sacks or tackles behind LOS) and the announcer going apeshit calling out his name each time. Seemed like a big time and clutch player.

Barr’s whole disposition and how he easily exudes ‘I don’t give a poop what you think about me and how I do things’ is all together alarming, scary, maddening, exhausting and bewildering. And yes lurkers I’m sure people who previously held this position didn’t wear a halo over their head but that doesn’t justify his actions at all. What about arguments aren’t really valid arguments, they are weak, lazy and lack critical thinking.

I think the league is taking a bit of a wait-and-see approach, seeing how the MLB, NBA and NHL bubble plans work out, then taking the best from their tactics before actually setting anything in stone. That or they're incompetent... maybe a bit of column A.... bit of column B...

A few at best border line but more realistically dirty guys like dave donaldson (i feel like he must have the team record for UR flags) kyries hebert, and brandon dyson (a shame as he had legit talent). A few guys that created sour notes especially on leaving, tj heath (as much for selfish play to the point of being a liability), korey banks, arland bruce, and for a mix of both groups brian clark. (loved his talent and work ethic but he did some real dirt bag stuff) Some why are they still playing guys like ejiro kuale, hurl, and too many guys at the end of dave ritchies time here. Over hyped under achievers, wayne mcgarrity, incompleterson, kerwin bell, and way too many qbs to count. Overachievers and role players i loved watching play, geoff drover, wade miller, matt sheridan, Guys with under rated careers, harold nash, anthony marlbrough, brett macniel Every one loves the greats like milt and blink etc So some random guys. Westwood. I always thought he was a lousy kicker and a high strung player. Though i enjoyed him on 1290. Keith stokes was wildly entertaining but a selfish ass. Terrence edwards deserves all the blue and gold love in the world. Kevin glenn always seemed to find a way to disappoint. I loved watching KD williams play, and elfrid payton as well (despite peytons various flaws) Especially loved mike sellers, he ruined watching FBs for me. I always hope we dig up another one and it just doesnt and wont happen. Especially dislike all the guys who gave up on the team. Guys who no showed while under contract with out a call, and the extremely talented / athletic guys who just didnt seem to want it bad enough.

Look, we are living in very charged times, where having a different political stance or opposing opinion makes you the enemy, and paints you as someone of poor moral character. I personally feel we need to rise above that. I think someone once posted here "your opinion is bad and you should feel bad". I have no issue with the first half of that statement, but it doesn't make the second half of that statement right. If you have a position that you know will enflame things, start by asking why it is contentious, and then ask why you want to post it. If the first answer is "it is contentious because it runs counter to everything else I have heard, and no one takes my side" then reassess if you are incorrect for having that opinion in the face of such overwhelming counterintelligence and maybe need to change your stance, or if others are missing something that you can provide. If the answer to the second question is "I want to post to poke the bear and get my opponents all triggered", then save your breath. But if you have a point to make, and feel you can validate your position with an articulate argument, and are prepared to take on those who challenge that opinion in a respectful manner (that's you being respectful - you can't control others' behaviour, so why worry about it?) then please go ahead and make it. If the response is "that's a stupid thought" then engage politely and ask the other side to defend their position as you would defend yours. If the response is "YOU are stupid" then shrug it off and re-direct to the issue at hand, not the content of your character. Don't take the bait and get into a name-calling contest, and don't bother getting into the "well if you attack me instead of my argument, you clearly have no defence" because that will be readily apparent to all, and only drags you down to their level of personal character assassination and gets off topic. We all need a thicker skin on internet chat boards, and only we individually can choose how to respond to what someone says about our point or our personal traits. Try to foster the former and tune out the latter. And if you cannot divorce the two, maybe this is not the forum for you. But if you feel personally attacked and still want to be involved in this message board, just ask the mods to take a look at the comments coming your way and let them police the site if they feel it needs policing.

A shortened season is a win-win for a pessimist like me. There is no downside! Bombers win the Grey Cup? Back to back champs baby! Any other team wins the Grey Cup? Giant asterix for "winning" the covid cup. Who cares?

Repeating the same talking points doesn't make them any stronger. It just makes you repetitive. Believe me, I do not feel good about having to have these conversations. I do feel them necessary when people who purport to have insight have none at all. For some people, a picture tells a thousand words and for some - let's see - ("ridiculous and dumb") it tells 3 words. They then defend their comment with a tome containing nothing more than verbal diahrea and weak opinion stated strongly. Thanks for the offer regarding "Socializing With Other Humans" instruction. I suspect it's an 01 course with a half credit taught by someone who doesn't even fully grasp the idea of humanity. I'll pass.

Not nearly enough love for Doug Brown in this thread. Greatest DT in league history, American or Canadian, and moved to town full time to give back in a number of ways. He's everything you could ask for of a professional athlete in your community.

What a crock of **** A group of people claiming to be doctors telling us that hydrochlorique (sp) works for treating Covid 19. All we have to do is take it, and everything will be over in 30 days. No evidence, no data, not even one visual. The BLM heckler at the end is the highlight.
