I don't mind saying I teared up a bit watching that Knuckles vid. That man has seen some **** in the last (nearly) 30 years and absolutely earned that ring. So cool that they did that!6 points

I miss Blue Bomber football. I'm not sure if seeing the ring ceremony is helping or making it worse but I am thankful that we won last fall.5 points -
I haven’t been witness to something like this before and truthfully, I never thought about Bob Irving getting a ring. But when you think about it, it truly fits in with the culture and atmosphere the Bombers are promoting with this team. This is no mere gesture by the Bombers. It is heartfelt and rewarding. And, deserving. Growing up and listening to Irving over the last 29 years,I realize how lucky we were to have someone so balanced in his broadcasting. And knowledgable. A Grey Cup Ring? Bravo Bob! And bravo to Wade Miller for bringing it all together with Kyle Walters and Mike O’Shea.4 points

I absolutely love this! Such a humble man. And so deserving having called games for over 40 years. We can argue here for days as to who the face of the Blue Bombers is. But we damned well know for sure who the voice of the Bombers is. Congratulations, Bob.3 points -

Another in the great (and award-winning) series from the Washington Post. The key to this series is that it uses data to identify regional impacts to illustrate the crisis while everyone else seems to be waiting for the entire world to combust at once. This giant climate hot spot is robbing the West of its water "ORCHARD CITY, Colo. — On New Year’s Day in 2018, Paul Kehmeier and his father drove up Grand Mesa until they got to the county line, 10,000 feet above sea level. Instead of the three to five feet of snow that should have been on the ground, there wasn’t enough of a dusting to even cover the grass. The men marveled at the sight, and Kehmeier snapped a photo of his dad, “standing on the bare pavement, next to bare ground.” Here, on Colorado’s Western Slope, no snow means no snowpack. And no snowpack means no water in an area that’s so dry it’s lucky to get 10 inches of rain a year. A few months after taking the photo, Kehmeier stared across the land his family had tilled for four generations and made a harsh calculation: He could make more money selling his ranch’s water than working his land." ........ "The world has already warmed by 1 degree Celsius (1.8 degrees Fahrenheit) since the industrial revolution, on average. But global warming doesn’t affect the planet uniformly, and 10 percent of it is already at 2C, The Post found. These hot spots offer a window into what will happen as more of the planet warms: In New Jersey and Rhode Island, a 2C world has weakened winter’s bite; in Siberia, 10,000-year-old mammoths are being exposed by melting permafrost; and from Japan to Angola to Uruguay and Tasmania, changing ocean currents and warming water have decimated fisheries and underwater kelp forests." https://www.washingtonpost.com/graphics/2020/national/climate-environment/climate-change-colorado-utah-hot-spot/?tidr=a_breakingnews&hpid=hp_no-name_hp-breaking-news%3Apage%2Fbreaking-news-bar&itid=hp_no-name_hp-breaking-news%3Apage%2Fbreaking-news-bar3 points -

The Jets are not in a complete rebuild. The have one of the top 3 goalies in the league, elite Top 6 talent on the wings and a point per Game Center all under the age of 27 (except for the Captain). They have Buff’s ( and possibly Little’s) cap space and they now have a shot at the #1 pick. They also have some quality prospects on the back end coming in Samberg and Heinola plus Niku might make a nice adder in a trade. They legitimately need a 2C and a top 4 defender (with some size) and can use the cap space and perhaps the depth on W to address. If they happen to win the lottery, landing Lafreniere (you either trade the pick or move another LW to bolster the roster) enhances that. While they are not a legit cup contender today, there are still too many quality pieces for a complete rebuild. Moving one of the wingers might shakeup the chemistry too.2 points -

I knew that. I just thought we might have had a bit of a chance in the bubble atmosphere of the NHL being the situation is so weird & the team had 4 months to heal their injuries until the first game back & then BOOM!! Key players gone & lights out. Unfortunate.1 point -

Bravo for the news that Neil Young is suing the orange gloop and the re-election campaign. I'm actually glad they're being honest about this now. So many people thought this was going to be over in a matter of weeks. Anyone who read even a little bit about this in the early going knew it was going to be years. People really have to accept the idea of "a new normal". Masks, distancing, etc.... the way we're living (or SHOULD be, if you're not a moron) is how we'll be living for a long time to come. In fact some stuff will hopefully be with us forever, to help keep Cold/Flu infections down, even after COVID has (hopefully) been eradicated.1 point

Honestly it makes no sense for league to play even a 6 game season if they have to pay more than 33% of the salaries. I don’t know where the players think all this money is coming from. I wish it was not this way but it is the way it is.1 point -
