I agree with the critics of CFL 2.0 who say that the CFL's first priority should basically be to get it's own house in order - better relationship with the CFLPA; better salary cap structure and management; some type of revenue sharing model; focus on large market fan engagement, etc. However, to me it's not either/or. The CFL should do this and I still think it's worthwhile exploring a 2.0 type plan of trying to find streaming/TV revenue from other countries. Plus, developing players for other countries is kind of exciting. Wasn't that long ago that the thought of a Swedish or Finnish superstar hockey player seemed absurd. Who knows with football? The NFL is also doing a low key version of this with global players, so Ambrosie is not way off on this one.

So, the Republican Party’s official stance in 2020 is that it is simply for whatever Mr. Trump says. Whatever the hell that might be, on Twitter, or on his fake "news conferences" As clearly illustrated, the last few days, the bottom line, is that GOP political and intellectual thought..... has now been reduced to.... fapping for Donald Trump. Sad.

The San Francisco 49ers announced on Thursday they have signed WR River Cracraft (CRAY-craft) and WR Kevin White to one-year deals. In order to make room on the roster, the team released WR Jaron Brown and waived/injured DL Jonathan Kongbo. I hope he catches on somewhere. I wonder if I can return my Kongbo 49ers' jersey?

I'm not gonna get into a whole thing, but as has been mentioned before, this whole place got shittier when Jets Fans Who Aren't Really Bombers Fans discovered the place and kinda took over, and ask all sorts of ridiculous and inane questions, and post things that really don't jive with the original core crew of this place. But.......that's just one grump old man's take.

It's really too bad as it was fun. The thing I liked is that you could have a disagreement with someone but it wouldn't be there for all to see months later. And arguments usually were dealt with fast as the game would continue on & something else would happen. Also there was a feeling of all us wanting the Bombers to win with the group. I’d be for getting rid of 1 year deals. Maybe age related? 2 years for younger players, rookies, and ‘Strevelers’ 1 year for vets and players over 25-26?

Has to be guarantees in the contracts. I don't know if we should get rid of one-year deals but we should provide some incentive for players (and teams) to sign multi-year deals.

Two things immediately would help the CFL I believe, as far as the fans are concerned. One, get rid of 1 year deals. Two, get rid of Unrestricted Free Agency. The 2 biggest complaints by fans are the fact that they don't know the players on their teams anymore as free agents come & go. So, it's hard to invest in a player as a fan when he could be gone the following season. Why should anyone buy a jersey for nearly $300 when it will be obsolete the day the current season is over? I won't. If I buy a jersey it will only have the name of players in the past like Reaves, Jonas, Murphy, Frank, Clements, Hufnagel, Raimey, Ploen, Lewis, Brock, West, Hill, Minnick, Browne, etc. No current players. I'd love to have a #5 Willie Jefferson jersey but where will he be after 2021? Player movement affects merch sales. So stem the tide of free agency by restricting it. Make a team pay for actually signing a UFA. If the CFL does that then I believe that'll go a long way to rebuilding some crumbling fanbases in the CFL.

After watching Day 2 of the GOP Convention....it is time for a mea culpa. Because of my reliance on deep state fake media, I have simply failed to realize that Donald Trump is actually a devoted husband with religious conviction, who values and respects all Americans, regardless of culture or race. Donald Trump spends every waking hour, thinking about and tirelessly working to make America a better country, in every way. He is best. My credibility is shot, and my head is bowed in shame.....over my gin glass.
