The Trumpers will scream persecution and witch hunts but its not as if this will be anything new for them. The DOJ needs to flip a few and then the floodgates will open as everyone tries to throw everyone else under the bus to save their own skins.

The real game here is to try to roil up enough anger among their followers so that the fear of mob violence will compel Biden and Co. to cave in on prosecuting the GOPers who have broken the law, or, in an ideal sitatuon (for them) to create havok and uncertainty in the electoral college that the GOP governors in those states will have an excuse to declare the process invalid and appoint electors friendly to the Trumpers.
