    2020 USA ELECTION!!!!

Imagine being on the Secret Service detail that will have to protect him going forward? What is currently a terrible job, working for someone who doesn't care about you and actively puts you in harms way, becomes a far worse job in January, when you have to follow him around and listen to the pathetic man-baby. EDIT: And, you would have to be around his pathetic man-baby supporters too? Yuck.

  2. Any coach who is a god coach and doesnt want to lose his room is always going to say positive things about his players....starters and the bench guys...Thats why Kingsbury says what he does. Strev tho is in the same boat as many other CFL stars who go down to try their luck, and the politics and optics of the NFL cripple all of them..well 98 percent of them, They will always play behind the higher draft picks (even if they are better) the established players, and for the most part most free agents...thats how the NFL works and is the meat grinder it is, and it will never change. Ask any player who has played in both leagues, and they will tell u the level of play is equal, the talent just as good...it's just what it is..NFL is a money making machine, and if a high draft pick with big cash in him is a useless turd...he gonna play before a CFL free agent, and in most cases unheralded un-drafted free agents Murray has in games looked brutal, but has stayed in..there is a reason for that, and guys like Strev will suffer for it...he will be bounced around on a PR or as a backup for 2..3..4 years if he wants to, but from what I know of the guy, and what i have heard he will say screw it...especially if he gets 2 years of active roster money and will be heading back here where he will be able to compete, and build on his legend...guys a player and a workhorse and wont be wanting to erode away with 3-5 reps a season...he like a bull chomping at the bit and this new life will tire him quickly....count on it Bank his close to 2 million he will make over next 2 years and come have a 6-7 year career in Canada at 400..500k..and be the darling of a city...thats a no brainer Especially too, if the Cards sign a vet journey man this winter, or another high draft pick...he's out, and at best if another team sniffs he will be PR material, or a back up who never gets in...he wont go for that

This was to be expected, as Trump has installed his weasels in much of the DOJ and other departments and is trying to smear as much of the incoming administration as possible. People tend to remember the charges, not the exonerations, and then Trump can squeal that the DOJ is now biased against him. Trump, through his glove puppet Barr, has started an investigation of the Biden victory. When this inevitably comes up empty, there will be more quealing, and if the incoming Attorney General stops the investigation, there will be more, if lightly different, squealing.

Agreed, but those who attack a benign system are also subject to scrutiny as to their goals. Dr, Orient and Dr. Alpha have histories that place them in the "not credible" camps.

  10. Here's how Trump undermined Texas' Hail Mary election lawsuit with a single tweet: law professor Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton this week sued four key battleground states lost by President Donald Trump in the hopes of overturning the 2020 presidential election. Legal experts have picked apart the lawsuit and have said it stands little chance of even being heard by the United States Supreme Court, let alone succeeding. And according to University of Texas School of Law professor Stephen Vladeck, Trump may have further undermined an already-shaky case with a tweet that he posted on Wednesday morning. Specifically, Trump tweeted that "we will be INTERVENING in the Texas case," while also hyping up the Paxton lawsuit as "the big one." According to Vladeck, however, Trump intervening would harm the case's chances of success. "The central purpose of SCOTUS's 'original' jurisdiction is for disputes between states that can't be resolved elsewhere," he explained. "Successful intervention by another party would prove that the dispute *could* be resolved elsewhere — and that there's nothing unique about Texas's claims." https://www.alternet.org/2020/12/trump-election-2649429282/

    Covid-19

I have some background in the healthcare system, and I can tell you that every medication/supplement has the potential for abreactions- even aspirin and dental freezing can be fatal under certain circumstances. In all cases, the benefits are weighed against the urgency of need and the potential for iatriogenic harm. What is harmful is the knee-jerk reactions against the products of systems that have produced drugs and procedures that have saved the lives of tens of millions. When multiple, independent oversights of drugs result in consistent approval, the default position is that there is a very high likelihood (not zero) that the drug will be esstially harmless.

could not be more excited about an All Canadian division. Other than Chicago, who I follow a bit because of Toews, I just couldn't give less of a **** about American teams. Sports is about regional rivalries.. It's going to be fantastic to have Canadian teams vs Canadian teams every night on TV...

For when COVID mutates and isn't suppressed by the current vaccine. It wouldn't be a bad idea to have a system in place that tracks which citizens are (or are not) vaccinated. Better late than never.

  27. True but I like reminding people of how horrible the GOP has been always. They liked the way Reagan did things - illegal wars, attacking and incarcerating minorities and cutting social programs. All the things that give the GOP hot flashes and arouse them. https://adage.com/article/campaign-trail/lincoln-projects-rick-wilson-ads-actually-worked/2300051 .... Lotta flags, yes. It felt like it was from the Reagan era, basically. By the way, if you don’t think I was stealing—stealing lavishly—from Hal Riney [the advertising legend who created “Morning in America” for the Reagan campaign in 1984], you’d be mistaken [laughter]. We wanted to frame Biden as a Reaganesque, big, broad, good-hearted leader. And then we understood what was coming—the attacks on Biden that we knew would be coming. You understood because you and your team, at one time, were doing exactly that sort of thing! Right. Yeah, yeah. Part of this isn’t rocket science. It’s just, like, what would we be doing? How would we be doing this? How would you fight yourself, basically. Right!

  30. Of course. Overthought it and forgot that Harris would no longer be the deciding vote there in my alternate reality. This is why I can’t have nice things! That raises an interesting question though. If Pence was being impeached, and it went to the Senate for vote on removing him, would he be allowed to cast a tiebreaker vote if he himself was the accused party?

Teams from the 80's and early 90's would have a very hard time competing, let alone beating teams in this era...just the way it is...I see it first hand with training recruits the difference in size..speed...stength and skill, not to mention knowledge of game from back when I played...and that wasn't even that long ago...There are guys from the past who could still play and compete if they could time travel here now, but they were the freaks' and anomalies....rosters now are littered with dozens of freaks and anomalies...not to mention they are game ready pretty much all yr long I remember camps when camps were 3 times as long where thats where guys came in to "get" in shape....and then take 2-3 games to "get" into game shape....that doesn't happen now

I understand that. Your speaking to the converted here. But lets not pretend medical issues have not been used to harm individuals or populations. Even THIS year there have been down right awful circumstances. I will NEVER attack/belittle anyone asking questions about a drug and it's potential side effects. That's a slippery slope when we allow that to happen. And if you have the experience you know very well there are no substitutes for long term data. This type of behavior from the media/government etc isn't just dangerous now...it's dangerous for the years a head.

👁‍🗨 Finally somebody stands up to be counted A Sarasota lawyer resigned his appointment to the panel that picks judges on Tuesday to call attention to the way Gov. Ron DeSantis has handled “public access to truthful data” and the raiding of a data analyst’s home. “The recent events regarding public access to truthful data on the pandemic, and the specific treatment of Rebekah Jones has made the issue a legal one rather than just medical,’' he wrote in a letter to the governor’s general counsel. “...I no longer wish to serve the current government of Florida in any capacity.”
