Night Court was fantastic, and Laroquette is an awesome actor. Fully deserving of his 4 Emmys in a row. He had a role in a Bobby Moynehan-led sitcom a couple of years ago that didn't get the love it deserved. With Melissa Rauch (Bernadette on BBT) presumably playing Harry Anderson's daughter on this new incarnation of NC, I'm going to be very interested...3 points

We seem to be holding at this level, which is not good enough. At this level, the chances of an individual becoming a "super-spreader" as happened in Steinbach are just too great.3 points -

But the exile will not be the fault of O'Toole, the party or their barely-concealed intolerance. It will be the fault of a media who just does not understand them- apart from The Sun papers and Ezra Levant, that is.2 points -
Laroquette had drank himself out of a career prior to being cast in Night Court and a sitcom about an off-hours bus depot manager. The character in the latter was in recovery and it played a large part in the writing- right up to Laroquette's character's sponsor (played by David Stills) committing suicide. In one of the episodes, a hooker was involved in an existential conversation about whether there was a God. Her response, when asked if she believed in God, was. " Well. I hear His name a lot." Hilarious.2 points

Erin O'Toole is at it again: https://globalnews.ca/news/7524370/otoole-residential-schools-eduction-horrible/ The irony of crying about cancel culture when the residential schools were, at its very core, meant to cancel an entire culture. At least Harper had the decency to call it for what it was. O'Toole then proceeds to take a shot at "lefty radicals," a petulant move right out of the alt-right playbook: The video was made for the Ryerson Conservatives Club, whose members have taken it upon themselves to defend Egerton Ryerson's legacy. This take from Billy Kelly hits the nail on the head, IMO: https://globalnews.ca/news/7525232/erin-otoole-residential-schools/ This historian also offers some objective insight:2 points -

Nothing new here. Sarnia, Ontario in the 50's and 60's was referred to as "chemical valley" due to the high number of refineries and chemical plants. The number of kids that contracted COPD (formerly known as asthma ) was 10-20 times higher than the national average and rare cancers appeared there as well. My wife grew up there and suffers from it as well as frequent bouts of bronchitis and even pneumonia. She has also had two occurrences of cancer, which she has beaten, thank God. We all cannot live up upstream.2 points -

We will have some roster turnover for sure. 32 FAs and a reduced SMS kind of seal that deal. Lots of guys on the lower echelon of the pay scale may choose to move on from football and just find jobs down South. The good news is that the upper echelon players will likely begrudgingly take the shave. In my estimation, the new spending policy will just make it really tough on recruitment as well. Losing Rigmaiden couldn't have come at a worse time for us. We may need to shave some luxury items off our list like the extra NAT OLs and a NAT receiver, and carrying 3 KRs is probably something we won't be doing this year either. Some hard decisions on a couple vets are likely as well. Pat Neufeld immediately comes to mind...2 points

2020 USA ELECTION!!!!

Ex-Houston police captain accused of violent attempt to prove election fraud was hired by GOP activist group By Erin Douglas, The Texas Tribune Dec. 15, 2020 "Former Houston police captain accused of violent attempt to prove election conspiracy was hired by GOP activist's group" was first published by The Texas Tribune, a nonprofit, nonpartisan media organization that informs Texans — and engages with them — about public policy, politics, government and statewide issues. HOUSTON — A former Houston police captain was arrested after allegedly running a man off the road and threatening him at gunpoint — what prosecutors say was part of an elaborate attempt to find evidence for a false conspiracy theory of widespread voter fraud in Harris County. Mark Aguirre was working on behalf of a powerful Republican megadonor's group to investigate unsubstantiated claims of widespread voter fraud when, in October, he allegedly pulled a gun on a man described by the Harris County district attorney's office as an “innocent and ordinary" air conditioner repairman. Aguirre was arrested Tuesday, according to the Harris County district attorney's office. Prosecutors say Aguirre's election fraud claims were baseless and that he was paid $266,400 by the group Liberty Center for God and Country, whose CEO is prominent Texas right-wing activist Steven Hotze. Hotze was among a group of Republicans who unsuccessfully sued to have nearly 127,000 Harris County ballots tossed out this year. He was also among Republicans who tried — and failed — to stop Gov. Greg Abbott from extending early voting during the coronavirus pandemic, a suit for which Aguirre had provided an affidavit, stating that he was involved in an investigation into a “wide-ranging and fraudulent ballot harvesting scheme" in Harris County.2 points -

I don't see us having any issues re-signing guys we want, and it appears all want back anyway, so sadly depending on the financial aspect of the league, we may not be able to bring everyone back that would have been here in 2020...but time will tell and hopefully I am wrong, but from little birds I hear from most (in league) know that in 2021, and possibly 2022 they will have to play for a bit less than what has been used to for the betterment of the league, to allow years past that being more fruitful...and all are on board...because its this...or nothing if the NFL isn't an option2 points

When Starlink gets its kinks figured out I will certainly get it. It'll make all my staffs lives way easier. They just want to watch Netflix and not wait 15 minutes for it to buffer. Trump sues New Mexico in continued election challenge as Electoral College affirms Joe Biden's win. Trump expands his failed election challenge to a state he lost by 10 points As the 538 electors who make up the Electoral College met on Monday in all 50 state capitals and the District of Columbia to cast their constitutionally mandated votes for president, Donald Trump expanded his failed legal effort to overturn the 2020 election based on fictitious claims of fraud. The Trump campaign filed a federal lawsuit in New Mexico, a state he lost by more than 10 percentage points, alleging that Secretary of State Maggie Toulouse Oliver violated state law by allowing voters to submit ballots using drop boxes at polling places in lieu of presenting them in-person to a judge. "[I]t's not over. We keep going and we're going to continue to go forward. We have numerous local cases," Trump told Fox News' Brian Kilmeade before his campaign filed its latest lawsuit.
