    Covid-19

This will be the first year that I will be unable to spend the winter in Costa Rica due to COVID. All the other winters I didn't go because I couldn't afford to.

Every once in a while you get a real gem in a player. The Bombers scored real high in that department when they went after and brought Bryant to Winnipeg. He has started every game since signing in Winnipeg in 2015. Think about that. Fantastic. He’s a 5 time CFL all-star and has played in 3 Grey Cups..and we got him back. Outstanding.

Holy siht! That’s quite a record. Even with only 4 hours sleep, that’s 25 untruths an hour, on Twitter and live. Who would think that’s possible.

thats why him losing the award last year was such a joke...and was so apparent in the Grey Cupo...One guy locked **** down...had his team rush for almost 200 yards, and the other looked like a turnstyle and had his offence dominated...well in the end Bryant got the trophy he wanted more anyway...with his boys along with him

Went back over the numbers to see how much a monster Bryant is: 2019: fewest pressures allowed among LTs 2018: T-fewest 2017: 2nd (by tiny margin) 2016: 2nd And he started all 18 each season. Confirmed monster. - Derek Taylor

  14. The best Canadian's are in the NFL. The next best are the 6 or 7 starting caliber Canadian's on every team. The rest are backups/special teams guys. I'd love to see what the CFL looked like if the best players in the world played it, but with the ratio and the NFL bucks, that's never going to happen. Personally, I'd like to see less jobs given to Canadian's simply because of their birth certificate. I'd reduce the number of starting Canucks required by 1 and the number of overall Canucks required on each team by 2 or 3. That would allow teams to have better players at less money while increasing the talent level in the league. It would cost the worst 2 or 3 Canucks on each team their jobs, unless they could beat out the import talent. If they can't do that, then they really don't deserve the roster spots anyway.

Our American tackles really do set the tone for that whole line. Hardrick just brings so much energy and Bryant just gets **** done out there. Complete joke he didn't win MOL in 2019. All because the other guy got a lifetime.e achievement award. Pathetic.

  31. yeah I assumed it was Brescani..I just didn't remember the name so didnt wanna throw one out there hahaha And I don't want to rid the ratio, as it gives an avenue for Canadians to get a foot in the door, and get that chance....and yes you still have to have that Canadian content outside the actual CFL game itself in terms of players, but I would like to see more Americans allowed to be role/ST guys and get a shot as well, deepens the talent on the field, as well as encourages more guys to continue their dream, and draws better talent up to Canada. But there are guys who didn't come not from lack of passion...but being behind the 8-ball right from the get go, and really no shot of landing a spot, other than un-seating an established vet (which rarely happens cause thats playing with fire) and watching a lesser player with no business of being ahead of you on depth chart soley because they have to be...its a shame, but also a nature of the beast of the CFL

  32. I've always viewed the Bryant signing as the inflection point when our offensive line really started to actually become a force. Others have come and gone, but he's been a staple throughout the rebuilding process.

  33. there's an argument to be made that Big Stan is the best OL in CFL history. Also, while a huge Pat Neufeld fan, it's tough for me to say he's better overall than Hardrick, because Hardrick is the best RT in the league. RT is a lot tougher to play than RG. Neufeld is extremely versatile and can play multiple positions, but I don't believe he plays RT better than Hardrick, so my vote goes to Yoshi. I personally think SB/JH are the best tandem tackles in the league and among the best of all time. And that's saying something, because we previously had the consensus best tackle tandem of all time, in Walby/Gorell...

  39. But don't make it out that the NFL is some kind of easy. That's as bad as what Esiason said about the CFL as it's wrong. NFL contracts aren't guaranteed for most players. How is what the Seahawks did any worse than a CFL GM cutting a veteran player on a 2 year deal because they owe him his bonus? It's the same ****.

  44. Um....you have it backwards...when Walters became GM he made a point of addressing the line via the Draft. Then it got significantly better. Bryant has been here for a while, he has played on some bad Bomber olines. It got better because our GM/Scouts were able to recognize Canadian talent, AND we had one of the GOATS as a LT. I'm not sure why you chose the Oline to show how bad CND talent can be...I'd say there are far more Cnd linemen in the NFL then any other position.

  45. I know I'm probably in a miniscule minority, but Canadian players are a big part of why I watch CFL football and not NFL. It's our game, our people. I don't care to necessarily see the best possible players.... I am all about Canada, and as much of that as we can get.

  47. At some point you have to make the defence fear your arm if you want to have success running the ball as a QB. Hill has shown enough to be a viable threat. Streveler has not done that even in his time in the CFL. His success here in the short term was largely based on having Harris and Demski as viable options out of the backfield so teams could not just key on him on random plays. That credit goes to LaPolice despite many not wanting to give that due credit. When Streveler became the full time starter after Nichols’ injury, teams got wise by spying him and forcing him to beat them with his passing. For the most part, he was unsuccessful and that is why they rushed in Collaros to save the season. The question is will he become a Turner Gill who shows that he has no real talent as a QB and is a glorified runner who can throw a ball but does not have the mental skill set to pick apart a defence, or does he become a Henry Burris or Tracy Ham who learns the passing game and evolves out of the “gimmick running QB” mould to become a mobile passer?

  48. The NFL is boring not because of their rules not the players. It's just such a slow pace to the game. Not individual plays but the time it takes for any action to actually happen... booorrrring. Then you get the largely inconsequential special teams plays. Yeah the CFL has vastly superior rules and I will argue that to the death.
