    2021 (??) CFL Season

the Esks beat guy for CHED radio was saying today: "The problem with Jones is that he's ALWAYS looking for the next opportunity. Hard to build a program when the HC won't commit to the program".....and that's about right. Sounds like he's got NFL/NCAA opportunities down south anyhow, so that's good...stay there.

  7. Photoshop isn't difficult, especially for a professional sports team. And confirmed by the Jets. So, much ado about nothing. Leave it up to idiot trolls on social media (the Twitter Landfill, to be precise) to make it something, though.

AOC gets straight to the core issues with simple eloquence. She actually does "put on a pair of comfortable shoes" and walk with union workers. If the leaders of her party had any shame, they would elevate her, not fight her. she is everything needed right now.

  14. So, after paying Milanovich to sit around & do nothing for a year he leaves. He got paid & didn't earn a penny. Especially during this pandemic when other coaches lost their jobs instead. I'd like to see the CFL take a stand with coaches that have itchy feet by taking them to court to get the team's money back that they paid out to anyone who does something like this. Milanovich & the Colts may have thought twice about doing this if they knew they might be held financially liable.

    Covid-19

I'm speaking from experience on this one. They very likely did mass testing in known clusters in the Northern region & now those are all complete Covid can really wreak havoc in a communal living situation, but it is also easier to identify and control, once you know it is there. With cases already dropping in the Winnipeg region, this was bound to happen, sooner rather than later. The rest of this week will tell the tale...

To convict is not a simple majority, they need 2/3 majority, best the Democrats could hope for is for enough Republicans not to vote making making a 2/3 majority easier to get.

    Game 6 : Oilers

I was fantasizing about Dubois being out there last night with Schief's line being essentially neutralized, and how a line of him, Copp and Ehlers would have just owned the Oilers second line all night, it would have been a much different game for sure. If they can get Dubois back sooner (and safely of course) then I am all for it.

The articulate intelligent wackjobs who are coming up right behind Trump thinking if dum dum Trump and his equally stupid enablers can almost pull this off with little to no real consequence felt, imagine what we can do with this broken system.

Capitol Police chief apologizes to Congress — admits department's failure amid deadly riot The acting U.S. Capitol Police chief is addressing the deadly riot that took place on Jan. 6, admitting the law enforcement agency does bear responsibility for failing to contain the angry mob of Trump supporters that breached Capitol security. On Tuesday, Jan. 26, acting Capitol Police chief Yogananda Pittman delivered his testimony before lawmakers during the House Appropriations Committee, according to The Hill. "On Jan. 6, in the face of a terrorist attack by tens of thousands of insurrectionists determined to stop the certification of Electoral College votes, the department failed to meet its own high standards as well as yours," Pittman said. Pittman's remarks come nearly three weeks after the civil unrest which led to the deaths of five people. In the days leading up to the U.S. Capitol riot, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) released an intelligence warning of violence on the day of the Electoral College certification. However, based on how violence erupted at the Capitol, the warnings were not taken as seriously as they should have been. In the statement, Pittman went on to admit that the law enforcement agency could have done more to combat the violence that ensued. "We knew that there was a strong potential for violence and that Congress was the target," Pittman said. "The department prepared in order to meet these challenges, but we did not do enough."

There are witnesses who can testify that Trump enjoyed watching MAGA riots: NYT's Haberman Former President Donald Trump's impeachment trial is scheduled to begin in the United States Senate next month, and New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman believes that there are witnesses who could make things significantly more uncomfortable for Republicans. Appearing on CNN Tuesday, Haberman reiterated that her own sources have said they personally saw Trump enjoying watching his supporters riot at the United States Capitol building on January 6th. "He was watching, enjoying what he was seeing in part because he was enjoying just people defending him and in part because... it stopped the certification [of Biden's election]," she said. "That was what he wanted to see." Haberman would not reveal any of her sources, but she speculated that Democrats could track some of them down and call them as witnesses at the president's Senate trial if they wanted to do so. "I think if witnesses are called for this trial, I don't know that they will be, but if witnesses are called for this trial, I suspect they can find some people who they might be able to try to get to talk about this," she said.

The rate of loss is now in line with the worst-case scenarios of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, the world’s leading authority on the climate, according to a paper published on Monday in the journal The Cryosphere.

I think it is critical for our elected leaders to call out racism and intolerance whenever and wherever it appears, and as quickly and forcefully as possible. In matters like this, silence is complicity. Soft racism will lead to the hard type given silence.

Grays advantage is he could play either tackle spot though, which is harder to find especially in a canadian. Eli is a real stud though too. Those two and speller would start on more teams in the league then not this year. Burnham is a beast and well worth a good pay day.
