Apparently no less than four of Trump's secretaries (equivalent to our ministers) were identified as potentially having committed illegal acts during their tenures and were referred to the Department of Justice but the DOJ under Bill Barr declined to prosecute. These cases are being reviewed now.4 points

I think I will be... I have agreed to rent out the kitchen at the south gate bar too so hopefully will have some success there. It's very difficult to plan for because although events haven't officially canceled its hard to know what they would look like if they did happen. So absolutely no certainty on what to do. The shows are what I've built my business around and have spent several years building a viable show list. That and also the arena in Brandon with the carts. So no good summer work, and no winter work Also to respond to another quote above, you're right it isn't the manitoba govts fault. It's easy for me to be bitter and angry and sometimes it is misguided. Just a very scary situation to be in and the stress levels are quite high Hope to see you Jcon, will make ya a killer burger and some fresh mini donuts friend2 points

You can make a lot of different skill sets work at slot, from milt to nik lewis. Its all about how they are used. Also, woli has good speed for his size. BC was trying to sign him before he got his NI papers as an imp. I have no doubt woli would excel at slot, hes really good with the tough yards and with catch and run stuff.2 points

So it's March 4th. Has Trump been inaugurated as President and the clone been tossed from office yet ? Honestly who the hell makes this crap up and what's in the water that people actually believe it ? It would be completely hilarious and entertaining if they didn't have nuclear weapons. The rest of the world needs to take them away like a parent takes sharp scissors away from a kid.2 points -

I have virtually the entire 2019 season on my PVR and watch fairly regularly. There are many, many examples of Nichols throwing deep. I absolutely do not buy that he was ever "scared" of doing that. The offense was designed with a lot of check-downs. Part of that is Andrew Harris, part of it is just Lapo. But it's absolutely untrue that Nichols couldn't or wouldn't go deep, and I don't think that guy is scared of anything...he took a pounding.2 points -

He is so far off on trying to compare America's issues with police brutality and racism with Canada it's annoying when people like him are trying to create something out of nothing. Yes don't come to Canada because we had residential schools and clearly the country hasn't changed in 50-100 years when that happened. Don't come to Canada because clearly this Country has not embraced a massive amount of different cultures and places like Winnipeg never celebrate these cultures with things like Folklorama. Police brutality in Canada is so bad that amazingly relations with the First Nations is at an all time high and the amount of Police related deaths is at an all time low, but no this uneducated guy knows better because he's desperate for attention. I say we deport that guy to somewhere far away where he can experience what a truly bad country is like.2 points -

Here's why the Pentagon lied about Michael Flynn's brother's role in the Capitol riots response: report In the aftermath of the insurrection on the U.S. Capitol, many questions loomed about the Pentagon's delayed response as a mob of angry Trump supporters stormed the federal building. In fact, one aspect that really raised concerns was the fact that the Pentagon lied about Lt. Gen. Charles Flynn's involvement in the military's response. At the time, Flynn, also the brother of former United States National Security Advisor Michael Flynn, was said to not have been involved in the decisions made amid the Capitol riots. So why would the Pentagon lie about this? On Wednesday, March 3, MSNBC host Rachel Maddow provided answers. On Wednesday, March 3, security officials testified before the joint Senate Committee where they were asked about the disturbingly slow response to the Capitol riots. One day prior to the Capitol insurrection, security officials had received intelligence warnings of possible civil unrest in the wake of the Electoral College certification and expressed the desire to employ a "quick-reaction force in the event of an attack." But despite the warning, security officials were informed that the D.C. National Guard would still need special permission directly from the Secretary of the Army, himself, in order to receive backup. When civil unrest did erupt at the Capitol on Jan. 6, the military refused to give that special permission which contributed to the federal building being overrun for more than three hours. The hearing also revealed that Lt. Gen. Flynn was one of the officials who fielded the call for the National Guard's special request and opposed the idea of the National Guard being deployed. Pressed by Sen. Jon Ossoff (D-Ga.), Maj. Gen. William J. Walker confirmed that Lt. Gen. Flynn and Lt. Gen. Walter Piatt were more concerned about the "optics." "It wouldn't be their best military advice to send uniformed guardsmen to the Capitol because they didn't like the optics," Walker said, adding, "And they had also said that it could 'inflame' [the protesters]." The Pentagon previously claimed that Flynn had no role in the Jan. 6 military response. Three Republicans accused of ethics violation after they attempted to alter colleague’s votes Something strange happened in Congress last night that may tag three Republican members with an ethics violation. The House held an overnight session so that they could avoid the U.S. Capitol amid the fears of another attack on the building from militia members and conspiracy theorists. Punchbowl News' John Bresnahn explained that during a vote for HR 1280: The George Floyd Justice in Policing Act of 2021, Rep. Lance Gooden (R-TX) cast a vote for the bill. His Republican colleagues freaked out, saying that it needed to be changed. Three of them protested, attempting to change the vote in with the Tally Clerk. When members vote they have a card they can insert into voting stations and cast their vote. If they want to change their vote they can do so at any time, but if they want to change the vote in the last five minutes of the count, they have to go to the Tally Clerk and take a "red card," sign it, and hand it to the Clerk. At no point did Gooden use the red card option, but three other Republicans attempted to, signing Gooden's name to it. According to Bresnahn, "The cards were rejected by House clerks. A possible ethics violation by [Reps.]Louie Gohmert (R-TX), Randy Weber (R-TX) and Kelly Armstrong (R-ND)." Reporter Jamie Dupree went back to CSPAN to look at the tape seeing a man in a blue suit racing down the center aisle of Congress. "That person keeps running past the dais, but reaches out with his right hand and leaves a Red voting card for the clerk," said Dupree. "That person continues running past the dais - a very unusual way to vote - and heads toward the Speaker's Lobby door upper left in the photo. The voting clerk picks up the Red card - you can clearly see it in his hand - as the person who left it exits the chamber upper left." I'm 65 & at least the UCP did something right today by saying I won't be getting the Astra Zenica vaccine even though Health Canada has cleared the vaccine for everyone. Instead anyone 65 & over here will get the Pfizer-Bio Ntech vaccine instead. Not thrilled having to wait 4 months for my second shot but we need to get vaccines into people's arms as quickly as possible.1 point -

Recommendations Based on emerging evidence of the protection provided by the first dose of a two dose series for COVID-19 vaccines currently authorized in Canada, NACI recommends that in the context of limited COVID-19 vaccine supply jurisdictions should maximize the number of individuals benefiting from the first dose of vaccine by extending the second dose of COVID-19 vaccine up to four months after the first. NACI will continue to monitor the evidence on effectiveness of an extended dose interval and will adjust recommendations as needed. (Strong NACI Recommendation) This is great news. We'll be getting the vaccine sooner.1 point

Nichols was never scared. Leave it to a fan sitting in his living room to call out a player's courage. In 2018, he had a QBR of 91.0 & in 2019 it was 107.2.1 point -

Fear isnt really accurate. Its more like slight hesitation. And the deep ball windows can close quickly. If a qb is aggressive in pushing the ball down field the instant they see the window open its often missed. Yeah early in his 2019 run we did see more pushing the ball down field than we had previous. But it wasnt like he was throwing "50/50" balls and letting his wrs make plays, or even game design. Our 2019 group of wr's were very dangerous top to bottom and defenses took a while to adapt to the level of speed we brought in. The fault is to be shared, pretty close to equally. Lapo didnt keep the offense and nichols growing and improving year to year. Nichols battled a lot of injuries here. Harris and the OL is relatively low blame not much more they could have done. With Collaros and Buck running the show now I expect to see more of a difference than we've seen on offense for 5 or so years. And I cant wait to see what they bring to the table.1 point -

We as a country still have much to do in confronting what was done and is still often being done to first nations people, and other minorities as well. What we are doing different than the US is not pretending that systemic discrimination does not exist, and we are not threatening to kill people to prove that. We are a work in progress, no question, but there are a lot of other places in the world that are way worse.1 point -

I love me some Petey, but it's insane to think he was going to replace anyone on our roster, with the way it was built. There were limited touches anyhow, because this offense will always work through Andrew Harris as long as he's healthy and playing. But there's no way you take out Demski or Woogie for Petey...and I say that as a big fan of his.1 point
