Who are the Jets rivals?
FrostyWinnipeg reacted to sportprof101 for a topic
With the help of message board members beginning in 2014, we—the students and professors of the Know Rivalry Project—began answering this question and others related to rivalry in the NHL. Please help us update and expand our results to ensure that the Winnipeg Jets are included by taking 9 minutes to complete our newest survey: https://umassamherst.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_3FdJ8eN2EgFCfCB?grpID=1379&mbsrc=mb Our previous results have been featured in numerous sports media outlets, as well as the Wall Street Journal and New York Times. You can view those results, links to media coverage, and learn more about us at our KnowRivalry.com website BUT we'd prefer you didn't until you completed the survey via the link above... we don't want to influence your opinions provided in the survey. We use the Qualtrics online survey software for data collection. This academic research has been approved by two US universities' Institutional Review Boards (IRB) and it poses no risks to respondents. You'll find more information on the disclosure agreement that is required to start the survey. Thank you for helping us to include the Winnipeg Jets by participating and please share this with any other fans that may also help. CFL/XFL Exploring Alignment

Home? It already happened with TJ Jones, an instant National star the league would have loved to have. There is life after football, even for guy's that didn't spend a couple seasons in the NFL. Rumor has it a lot of these guys went to college. Like it or not the CFL is the 'last chance league' for many Americans and if we want them to come play we need to give them what entices them to come North. What you're really mad about it players being given the best chance they can get to make money (the whole reason they are here, not out of the kindness of their hearts but or their burning desire for the game, its a business, you know this) The pandemic probably has a more to do with where we are at right now than player movement does.1 point -
Am I the only one that is driven mad by the idea that the CFL will likely die a death this disheartening and tragic? Over 100 years of history and tradition and its being thrown around like it's no big deal. I can't come around to it no matter how unbiased or reasonable I try to be1 point

The Jets are off tonight. Bouncing pucks, no sustained pressure , outshot and subpar goaltending. That's a recipe for ending a winning streak.1 point -

My biggest beef with the CWB is lack of transparency- they refused to open up their books to the stake holders, and I feel that was a huge mistake. The producers were footing the bill and were not allowed to see how it was being spent. It was a great equalizer, but needed an over haul in the way they treated the stakeholders. But the way the cons went about it...1 point -
It was cute that we spotted them a lead. It's gonna be a lot of fun watching this game get pissed away by the fLames...1 point

US Politics
Bigblue204 reacted to Tracker for a topic
Fascism has been a factor in American politics for a very long time and it is tied into their racism. It was no accident that Nazis held huge rallies in the US in the 30's, and even had very active "Hitler Youth" organizations. Trump's father was a supporter of the Nazi party, so was Charles Lindbergh, Henry Ford and so forth. The support resulted in an attempted coup against Roosevelt but was only derailed when the general in charge of the US Marine Corps had an attack of conscience and reported it. Many of America's wealthiest families were involved. I am not sure of the accuracy of this but at one time I read that over a third of all white Americans had German ancestry.1 point -
what are now called Conservatives, are people who hate government, regulation, and any restriction on them. and they hate it when governemnt intervenesmto help the little folk. industrial health and safety laws. car recalls. healthcare. postal service. food inspection, water testing. yet perversely they also depend on government to save them, whenthe greed goes too far, and the system fails. and they get help. but help for anyone else, is said to be bad for the "moral fibre" socialism for the rich, unfettered capitalism for the rest. and they even hate it when the rest try to help themselves, by forming unions. whichnhave basically been battered to a pulp in North America. also, if Alberta doesnt face up to reality, they are going to suffer badly. in the near future. energy transition is not stopping for them.1 point

57 total cases on more than 2000 tests is reason for hope....but things are fluctuating a lot. And the variants are within the province, so there's not much you can do now. They're going to keep spreading until enough people are vaccinated.1 point -

right but this makes the assumption that they can sell advertising for this product (XFL/CFL) in the States and it also assumes a certain price per ad. Those are MASSIVE guesses on his part....1 point -

I have trouble buying that when the CFL has little US tv draw and the XFLs previous deal was worth 0 dollars. At this point I need to see some proof of concept from the XFL before believing much of any thing.1 point
