well that's done, I got my second vaccination and in two weeks I can apply for my vax card. I celebrated by doing something I had been wanting to do for awhile....I bought a cotton candy burrito from Tee-Yah's (because the explained to me once how long these are supposed to last, and they would only last about 20 minutes wrapped in cotton candy, so I felt it would be necessary to have a ride with me, and I told them I would need two spoons to share with my ride, because it was kind of big anyway)

Got a feeling... ZC will win 2 cups for us and retire a bomber and will go down as one of best of all time for us.

I re-watched the June 27th 2019 game again, where we beat Edmonton (barely), and the Reklaws were the half time entertainment (lol). Kind of a messy game, amazing how much offenses in the CFL improve as the season goes and the timing starts to click much better. Our receivers at that time were Chris Matthews (I was like what? I forgot all about him), Darvin, Lucky W., Wollo and Demski, with Petermann also getting in a play or two here and there. That's not exactly an overwhelming cast of characters, though Lucky got two TDs for us in that game and looked like he was going to light it up at the time. Good to see the Bombers really focus on getting more depth. By the end of 2019 I thought our receiving corp had gotten much stronger, and it's only gotten better since then, I'd say.

Surprised the Bombers haven't issued a statement acknowledging the passing of former assistant coach Ellis Rainsberger on July 17th. He was the Bombers OC under Ray Jauch from 1978-82 which coincided with the most successful years that Dieter Brock had as a qb with the Bombers. Under Rainsberger, Brock became a prolific pocket passer able to see the whole field rather than primarily a sprint out left & right quarterback that he was under HC Bud Riley & just concentrating on seeing half the field. With Rainsberger as his coach over the next 5 seasons, Brock would throw for 19,480 yards. He attempted 2,463 paases & completed 1,460. He threw 126 TD passes & 72 interceptions. The Bombers reached the Western Semi Final in 1978 & 81 as well as the Western Final in 1980 & 82. Under Rainsberger's tutelage, Brock was a CFL Western Division All Star in 1980, 81 & 82 as well CFL All Canadian QB in 1980 & 81. He would also win back to back CFL Most Outstanding Player Awards in 1980 & 81. After he left the Bombers, Rainsberger became an assistant coach with the Denver Gold in 1983 & then Head Coach of the Pittsburgh Maulers both of the USFL. He returned to the CFL in 1986 to the end of the 1988 season where he coached the OL with the Toronto Argonauts. He retired following the 2007 season after 3 years with the Miami Dolphins as a scout. Rainsberger was 88 years of age. RIP Ellis Rainsberger. We always seem to have a good player fall to us. I have high hopes for this guy. I know we all like Canadians but I like drafting Americans who are going to college. You end up getting more out of thier entry level deals imo. They are more physically ready for the nhl when you sign them playing in college rather than in the juniors. Say what you want about Chevy he has assembled an amazing scouting staff and with Perfetti and Lucius in the system there is plenty of optimism for the future of our top 6 as guys like Wheeler age out.

Wonder if there's any chance that some dumb shits finally get vaccinated when they see the prospect of another lockdown. Hoping this will cause MB to remain strong or get even stronger on privileges for vaccinated only. We have a really hard time learning from the mistakes of others though - not hopeful.

I could watch this blind-folded and still tell you which play is coming up next...lol...
