  1. https://www.bluebombers.com/2021/08/09/still-disbelief-child-shot This story about bomber db demerio Houstons daughter being shot in the leg while sleeping in her Bed is heartbreaking. His daughter son and wife are now in Winnipeg and she's awaiting surgery to remove the bullet. They have a gofundme I'm donating to and I strongly recommend any one who can to do the same.

  4. Don’t want to start this up again… but the discussion about diversity hiring is completely ridiculous in this case… Kate Bierness is not only completely qualified but also exceptional at her job… she’s the best person for the job, end of story…

  7. I'm a little late to the party here, but for those saying that Nichols was the best QB in the league in 2019... how quickly we forget that the first 8 weeks of the season were against extremely weak competition. Only 1 team had a winning record (Hamilton) and they lost against them. Playing Ottawa, BC, Toronto the bulk of the early schedule, of course he had a winning record. That game they lost to Toronto 28-27, to me, was the epitome of what we had with Nichols at QB. Just a guy who couldn't get it done when the stakes were at their highest. 169 yards passing this game, and even with Harris going for over 150 on the ground, couldn't keep the lead. The defence even bailed them out with a turnover with 1:44 left. What does the Nichols led offence go out and do, when all they need is a first down to all but ice the game. 2 & out. This, during what some are saying when he was 'at his best' ? Please. https://www.cfl.ca/games/2588/winnipeg-blue-bombers-vs-toronto-argonauts/?_ga=2.152605561.1119343581.1628611599-110836146.1617285075#videos Matty Ice? More like Ice Cold. There's a reason they needed Medlock with him at QB, because he couldn't finish drives. Nichols, after 2017 when there was enough film out there on him and our offence, declined big time. Even his 2017 numbers were propped up big time, dumping it off to Harris 105 times that season. Easy to have a great completion percentage when you throw the ball 3 yards. That said, he's gone and no longer our QB. I finally got my wish! I had honestly thought he had played his last CFL game when he got hurt mid-season here in 2019. He had a decent couple seasons, that was it. Not a guy that's going to the hall of fame by any stretch!

I am shocked! You mean it's Republicans who cheat and steal elections? I wish there had been some clue along the way...

  9. Yeah I don't know many people who view her as purely a diversity hire. She's definitely qualified for the role so in that case diversity is good.

Yup. No need for them to call an election. I guess I'm getting a new MLA, who won't live in my area or even be able to find it on the map. So, what will probably happen is Brian will step aside very soon. October? The party will install an interim leader and new Premier, while the candidates work through the campaign. They'll have a spring campaign to choose a new leader and that leader will get some months at the helm until the election.

  13. As they should. I think it's an incredibly entitled opinion to think we, as fans, somehow deserve this info. It's the players personal business... Their health. Nobody deserves that info.
    3 points
  14. I have to say, this is 1000% better than the info we got before. To think, it took gambling money for the CFL (and CFLPA) to treat it's fans a bit better.

  20. Also strange fact - the longest ever successful field goal in CFL history was 62 yards by Paul McCallum. To put in perspective of how stupid the Riders' are - on September 28, 1997, they had McCallum attempt (unsuccessfully) an 84 and 79 yard field goal in the same game.

No one talked about him but Brandon Alexander is the glue that holds that whole secondary together. Can play any position in it at a high level. Also Nick Taylor had a fantastic game too.

  27. Im sure we have someone that can return in case of injury. Ex. Demski. Probably others. Having a backup returner that is at the same level as your primary returner is a luxury. I'd rather have a more impact receiver on the field for every offensive snap. That said it may be a moot point as Stewart still seems to be injured

  31. It's comical how anyone here can let Matt Nichols continue to live rent free in their heads. And the revisionist history on top of it is comical. And by comical, I mean utterly pitiful.
    2 points
  32. the entire point I am making is that he never had an arm that bad while here! You have twice now said exactly what I have been telling you. Maybe listen when the grown ups are talking for a change? You let your hatred of Matt Nichols blind you to what people are actually saying. That game, and the montreal game were the epitome to me of what we had with Paul Lapolice. A guy who ices his own offence when they get a big lead. Why on earth did they go away from what got them the huge lead in the first place? He does it all the time. Trying to outsmart the defnsive coordinator and does their job for them stopping the offense. Both Lapo and Ritchie Hall get super passive and it can lead to blown games. At least when Hall gets a talented D it works because they make plays and get pressure to disrupt things.

There's a real election security breach case — focused on a Trump-loving county clerk's office: report Writing for The Bulwark this Monday, Tim Miller says that there's finally a credible investigation into voting machine tampering, and it's not being initiated by Donald Trump's allies. Miller cited a recent report from The Daily Sentinel, detailing how the Mesa County Clerk and Recorder's Office in Colorado is under investigation by the Secretary of State's Office over a "breach in security" in its election system. "Secretary of State Jena Griswold released an order at 10:15 a.m. today calling on Mesa County Clerk Tina Peters to supply surveillance videos and documents showing how the breach occurred, and how security information ended up on a social media post," the Sentinel reports. "If Peters can't show proper chain of custody for that security information, which involves certain passwords that are eyes-only for state and county election workers who have passed background checks, all of the county's election systems could be immediately decertified, meaning the county would be on the hook for an expensive refit of all of its machines." As Miller points out, Mesa County Clerk Tina Peters is fervent Trump supporter "who appears to have executed a self-own of historic proportion." Last week, QAnon conspiracists shared a video claiming a "whistleblower" provided alleged evidence that Dominion voting machines are connected to the internet -- a claim that is a necessary element for voter fraud conspiracy theories. In the video, the alleged whistleblower included an image of their election system's BIOS password, and in doing so "they stepped on a pretty large rake – because the password in the video was unique, which allowed the Colorado Secretary of State's office to identify which county the leak came from and during which meeting it was recorded," Miller writes. "It turns out the election hacker was not Antifa or a Hugo Chavez apparition but a real live human in the office of Mesa County Clerk and Recorder Tina Peters," writes Miller. 47. My Take: Beirness is a breath of fresh air on the panel. She's the comic relief and does it well. Sanchez is getting better each time out. He's the disparaging word guy. Matty's great, but being on Zoom doesn't work for him. He needs to be on set. Milt might as well be let go. He doesn't add anything to the panel. Barker has some good insight, but he's poor on the panel.
