This is true for the majority of people though. This is human nature. All of us have said and done stupid things in our 20s but it never used to be on social media forever. “Cancelling” for something you said or did 20 years ago means as a society we no longer allow people to grow or learn. And that is sad because that should be what life is about.5 points -

Although I think the interview with the new owner was very important and not as egregious as other in-game interviews have been (Keith Urban, anyone?), could they have not waited until half time and devoted that free time to him instead of the usual panel rather than miss 5 minutes of game action including a TD drive?5 points -

probably what he meant. divisive .... lol, so sad for them. I want to be divided physically, spiritually, politically, and any other way there is from the group that is unvaccinated. for several reasons, foremost cause I want to stay out of intensive care. secondarily cause they are dumb, self centered, and boring. reminds me of the nincompoops that invaded the american legislature, themn had public melt downs cause they were on no fly lists. right wingers....."I will do anything I want, my mommy said so" wahwah wan wah.4 points

Yeah, stop the run was clearly Job 1 for the Argos last week. Tons of guys in the box clogging their gaps. And in the end, it didn't matter. Zach passed for nearly 300 yards, our D gave em nothing except for the Arbuckle drive, and we won comfortably. Interesting thing: we haven't scored a TD from the red zone yet. Zach / Demski / Lawler / Bailey doing damage from outside the 20.4 points

Last week in warmups Crapinga was trying field goals from 50....and hit the crossbar two kicks in a row. Later Leggio kicked one cleanly through with some room to spare from 53. But can he do it when there's bad guys around?? There's been many comments about the fall-off from Harris to Oliviera in this thread, and I would like to mention that there's an even bigger fall-off in our kicking game. Medlock was outstanding, and a sure-fire HOF member coming up. Leggio has tons of potential no doubt, and I think we have to grind it out with him this year.4 points

Political Spectrum 101: the extreme left and the extreme right are the same thing Let's use the famous cows analogy: Centre: you have two cows, you sell one of them and buy a bull Extreme Left: you have two cows. The government takes them from you, hires you to milk them, and might give you some of the milk. Extreme Right: you have two cows. The government forces you to sell one of them, and tells you exactly which bull you are going to buy with the money. They are both just different forms of control, and both have their extremist followers But hey, don't take my word for it. The most obvious examples are Nazi Germany (extreme right) and Communist Russia (extreme left)3 points

It wasn't really bad. The thing is to played with 6 to 8 guys in the box. The dhbs were just out side and frequently jumped in. We used a bit of trips and heavy set to counter it and smashed them with it. When we play when play action to counter pressure it worked great too. We need to use some inside zone runs, rpo, off tackle runs, deep balls, play action and audibles at the line when they stack the box. Penalties also killed our biggest runs. We showed some of that stuff enough to be ready to beat them and run well this week. I'm pretty confident buck will be ready with a killer game plan. He adjusted well in the 2nd half. The argos missed a few good chances but a lot of the misses were because Jake and Sayles collapsed the pocket in seconds. Both QB's missed big shots because Jake had the center in their lap at 2 steps.3 points

elks v lions... Edmonton team site: Despite the Elks 0-2 start, they enter the night averaging the second most yards per game in the CFL at 371. That’s second only to BC, who is the lone club to average over 400 yards per game (409). Former Edmonton QB Michael Reilly’s troublesome throwing elbow hasn’t equaled incompletions. Reilly leads the CFL in completion percentage at 75.4 per cent. Trevor Harris comes into the game as the CFL’s leading passer with 566 yards, just ahead of Reilly’s 545 yards. LOL Harris.2 points -

I don’t think you can fault Lucky or the Bombers. Lucky probably felt he would be the #4-5 receiver and he am opportunity to be a top 2 receiver in BC. Bombers probably didn’t have the cash to pay him what he wanted.2 points -

Canadian Politics

She’s a lock in her riding and has been for 21 years, has been very loyal to the party (stood by Stuart Murray when he got tepid reviews by his own party and opted to step down and was replaced by the more bombastic and further right leaning Hugh McFadyen - somewhat risky given Murray’s flagging popularity, but was quickly able to gain McFadyen’s and then Pallister’s trust) and has handled a number of high visibility positions (Justice, Health, Family, Deputy Premier). According to media reports, she has the backing of a large segment of the party to run. I know her personally from way back and she is very bright and savvy without being a camera hog or needing to see her own name in the media. Decent person but certainly not naive to the political game at all. I hope she is not being set up as a political lamb to the slaughter following an unpopular leader who knows his party is going to crash and is abandoning ship (see Kim Campbell), and I say all this as someone who does not traditionally vote PC. I think she could strike a chord as a more moderate or at least reasoned voice for that party than a Calvin Goertzen, Shelly Glover, Scott Fielding, or Candace Bergen. She has already said she would go against the Palliater regime and abandon bill 64 acknowledging that Manitobans are not happy with it. And with a party that still has a bunch of white men in it, she could offer a bit of diversity. Big down side is that she was Health Minister during the 3 TD wave of the pandemic when the ICUs got overloaded and patients were shipped out to other provinces, so she wears that big target on her back. And she was largely not visible during that time, so one could argue she didn’t stand and face the fire (I understand she had medical issues of her own when she was MIA, so I cut her slack there). That’s one admittedly biased view based on having a personal connection to her (not super strong, although enough to be on a first name basis collegially). Hard to know how much she designed it vs Pallister, but she did follow marching orders at the least.2 points -

Tonight: Elks (+3.5) at BC The Lions are no longer owned by a dead guy; hopefully new owner Amar Doman is not a Pezim or a Skalbania. He's got some work ahead of him to rebuild the Lions brand. Good luck to him. For BC, Michael Reilly listed as starter with a -Q suffix (questionable, game time decision) so ah, bet accordingly. He was again listed as limited all week in practice. BC has completely revamped its kicking game. Global kicker Taeru Yamasaki has been cut and global punter Jake Ford is on the suspended list. In their place they are rolling out two (!) import kickers: recently signed PK Jimmy Camacho and practice roster punter Stefan Flintoff. Their global player is now Niklas Gustav, who backs up at the QK (?) position on the DL. (maybe it's the James "QuicK" Parker position?) For the Elks, Armanti Edwards (just 33 yards on five catches so far) is injured as is import LT D'Antne Demery. Canadian Kyle Saxelid will start in Demery's place. Somehow Trevor Harris is the yardage leader in passing with both Edwards and Ellingson producing very little. The Elks should've rebranded as the Edmonton Engima. The betting line is EDM + 3.5. CFL.ca was 4-2 BC. MBB was 35-7 (83%) BC. So the stage is set for a huge Elk victory tonight, further confusing the CFL's muddled power rankings.2 points

Darvin is a perfect no2 wr in this era. And right now that's what he is with Lawler being the man. The big difference between Darvin and a lot of guys is he doesn't drop a lot of passes and is one of the best blocking wrs in the league. Other wise he'd be like Chris brazzell or the none elite years of bowman. He disappears at times but it's not like he has 2 3 4 bad drops in a game. And he never lets up. With Lawler being the go to adams can be our homerun hitter. Lawler adams woli and demski is as good a 4 man crew as it gets.2 points
