The best thing I heard from an infectious disease expert was " there is no safe, only safer " All the protocols, masks, distancing, vaccines will reduce transmission, lower the overload on hospitals and reduce the severity of the disease if you get it. They can't eliminate it %100.7 points -

Watched Fahrenheit 11/9 last night as I felt up to diving into that for some reason. Going in I thought it would be a slam on Trump, but I came away with a much better understanding of the role the Dems played in creating the cesspool. From the dirty politics behind the scenes, "compromising", screwing Sanders for Clinton, unaccepting of AOC and her like, creating apathy among voters, and being just as betrothed to big $$$, if not more.4 points -

When it comes to Guards, you need to find the nastiest sonofabitch who will win a bar room brawl with anyone. That's what made Matt Sheridan great, and so many others. The Tackles, there's more finesse involved...but the Guards......angry brawlers. And we've had some of the all time best on this team, thankfully...3 points

CPC would do well to ride out the storm right now and keep O'Toole. If they can clean up their messaging on the guns and just pick a darn side, that would help. Just keep the Libs carbon pricing status quo. They've been hurt dramatically by their Provincial cousins who seem incapable of leading. Be fiscally conservative and socially progressive. Capture those that want to vote Liberal but don't like them heading to the left.3 points

" that if someone chooses to trust their immune system over the vaccine, then they are still welcome." So by that logic " I just broke both my legs but I choose to trust my body's natural abilty to heal without a cast " " I've got a painful cavity .I don't need a dentist because I trust my body will heal it " " I've got a bad case of VD but my body's immune system will cure it and everyone else that I infect " The stupidity of these people is still shocking . Way to go Manitoba government, health officials and enforcement officials for hitting these heartless bastards in the only way they feel it . Their pockets.3 points -

They should feel good about where they are sitting on the political spectrum. They've won a few elections in a row, despite scandals and a somewhat unpopular leader. Perhaps they've realized that the average Canadian has also shifted left, something the CPC have all but acknowledged. "Not your dad's conservative party" was meant to strongly signal their move left. Support for unions and putting a price on carbon, no matter how ridiculous the plan is, shows they felt they needed to move left to gain power. They still didn't. I'm not sure if it was a strategic error or not or whether they would have done better to appeal to the right more.3 points -

I have no problem with them "trusting their immune system". Go ahead, good luck with that. Maybe volunteer in a Covid ward with such a strong immune system. The problems with that are them choking up healthcare when their immune system lets them down and spreading Covid which drags down everyone by keeping significant levels of Covid around longer and keeping those who have a very weak immune system at risk longer.2 points -
Some of the election can also be seen as the CPC reaping the rewards from years of feeding their followers BS. They've finally accepted there should be a price on carbon, but the stink of vehemently going against the science for years has stuck with them and it looks good on them too. Its hard for anyone who considers themselves centrist to actually believe they will value the environment and climate change. I know I over-emphasize how much the general population cares about the environment, but the CPCs are starting to realize climate change deniers will be left in the past.2 points

I dont think either was dirty, though agitators tend to get the dirty moniker. Mos drew a lot of penalties especially from OL. Both were loathed by opposition fan bases to a great degree. I remember a bit being made of it when he came here. But it goes away quickly when that type of guy is on your team. Coach or otherwise.2 points

As much as Democratic leaders and half of Americans hate Trump what they really fear and panic over is Bernie Sanders. When he was making a real push to lead the Democrats big money came in to squash that. And that's on the Democratic Party. They set the stage for Trump. Lifetimes of fear mongering of socialist ideas (that the rest if the world has adopted as standard practice and human decency ) have brainwashed Americans. Alot of it is not accidental.2 points -
Dirty is trying to injure outside what is accepted within the rules. Trying to hit hard isn't intent to injure. Way different than playing to the whistle. Every team wanted MOS2 points

Too many violent outbursts to list. But they involving going into the stands, and fighting everything from players to officials. He would sharpen the spikes on his cleats then slide for guys legs and do absolutely anything that would give him an edge or a chance to injure an opponent. 2 of the worst events though include going after hecklers. One was mid-game. The tigers were batting and he jumped into the stands and knocked the heckler down. He then kicked and stomped the man with his spiked cleats. A teammate yelled at him to stop because the man had no hands, lost in an industrial accident though he kept 2 fingers on one hand the other hand and fingers were gone, to which he retorted I wouldnt care if he had no legs too! He was eventually dragged off by fans and team mates. He was suspended indefinitely for this but the tigers refused to play until he was reinstated and the league caved to the demands. Previously he went after a fan right as a game ended. He was on deck as the game ended and a heckler in a wheelchair was assaulted. Cobb went after him with the baseball bat. He claimed the guy called him half black, and said it wasnt a big deal because the guy himself was half black. But not in those exact terms. "Cobb . . . was a scary sociopath. The mere sight of black people so filled him with rage that, on several occasions, he brutally pistol-whipped African American men whose only offense was to share a sidewalk with him" There are several books that go in depth about the horrible nature of ty cobb. He once choked out an ump in a fight that happened in the stands. A black groundskeeper tried to shake his hand, then choked his wife when she tried to defend him. It wasnt just black people and hecklers though. He assaulted his own sun with a bullwhip for flunking out of school. Hes just the worst.2 points -

it is also shocking that there seems to be little will to do anything to Trump. so far, next to nothing. very hard to understand that. even if he can slip and slide and cheat his way out of consequences, at least make a full blast attempt to bring him to justice. American system ......seems to be thoroughly corrupted. all they have is bernie, aoc, a few others, fighting decades of it.2 points -

Almost certianly right. If I was ott I would either fire plop now, and take this action or sit him down and say this is the direction we wanna go, if you do it, you 100% will be back next year as HC. Its well known that the difference between a bad team thats turning it around and going to be good, and a bad team is losing close games. But another big difference is a bad team knows when its sunk, and instead of sulking through a season or clinging to an inane hope of a magical turn around, focuses on developing young guys. We saw it in 15 a bit here. Lots of guys got great chances to show what they could do and develop. The worst teams keep running it out there hoping to suddenly become good over night.2 points -
