If that Joey story is true. Fans should boycott the team until Brock is fired. That is absolutely a disgusting thing to do.9 points -

Bauming made a point that really is the only relevant take: As fans, you can ***** all you want, but the coaches watch hours and hours of film on these guys and know who's going to be the best fit for the game. They know a hell of a lot more than the fans do.6 points -

What a weird season 2019 was. Chris Matthews gets stabbed, Nichols goes down, Harris gets suspended, the meltdown in TO, the snow storm game, Gaitor leaving/kicked off the team, Collaros coming in. And that was just the regular season6 points -

Because the infraction occurred in Mb., Lawler will require an appt. with AFM's IDP (impaired drivers program). There he will receive an assessment and be involved in educational workshop(s). Anything further will require additional investigation. He will also receive a fine and be subject to license suspension. There are many different types and intensities of treatment (rehabilitation) he could choose to be involved in, both in, and out of province.6 points -

I'm pretty proud of MBB today. We can be fragmented as a forum on a lot of issues but I think we all understand the gravity of this situation and I don't see anyone downplaying it. We may not agree on the punishment but we're not dismissing this behaviour as acceptable.5 points

Meh, would have preferred to have the veteran slot presence of Rosevelt in the lineup. McKnight hasnt done much of anything to stand out in the 3 games he's played. And at 5'9" i expected him to be a bit more of a burner/deep threat.4 points -

He's a high 4.5 guy. It's pretty fringe speed. His field speed is a bit better than that number, similar to demski, but he'd be on the mid to slower end of imps on most any cfl wr core. He has a really well tuned stride. He's clearly put a ton of work into it. He changes gears better than most any one. He uses the speed cut, and pressure step expertly. Like milt, he's maximized his physical tool set to an exceptional degree. He doesnt have the quickness to make guys miss from a stand still (like blink), or the acceleration to gash through cut back lanes (like stokes), but his top gear is pretty good. With his ability to create cushion and his top gear, past the 40 yard mark, he can escape guys who are faster than him. He isnt a speed tool guy. He isnt a guy you could toss a screen to and watch him run away from the entire defense and score, or out run an angle with just speed. He isnt explosive and able to jump cut to make defenders look stupid. He's a smooth, crafty, professional wr. If lucky had his polish and craftiness, (or if darvin had luckys speed tool) he'd be a pro bowl wr. Its kind of funny, we have such freak athletes at DB and on D, but at wr we look for a totally different package. the 5 fastest players on our team are all on defense. Kyrie probably out run all of our wrs in the 40. Grant is explosive with great acceleration and top end speed. But nick taylor is easily our fastest guy. He'd roast any of our wrs in a foot race. even grant. Idk. On one hand I can kind of get why he was fired. But on the other, he doesnt work for the elk. In this situation steele comes off sympathetic for being honest and reporting the truth. The elk come off poorly but the radio station comes off smelling like a turd imo.4 points -

Thanks for the response, I appreciate it. I guess that's the thing. You see what other teams and you say "good move" "nice addition" or what ever with out the temperance of "but", "yet" or anything else... Yet with the Bombers, it's always a compliment with the "but, yet" or whatever else... I think you're the Blue Bomber's hard to please father or Tiger dad. And that's a good thing, it means you care a **** tonne about the Bombers and hold them to a higher standard. Well, that's my impression. T"iger Dad" Burgess 😁4 points -

87.2 efficiency rating right now is proof positive...midway point in the season is a good measuring stick...compared to 113.6....111.11... and 90.6 for Reilly, Zack and Adams who have played all games, MBT and Harris who have played 5 and 4 have 110.3 and 99.7, and Evans and Maier are at 101.7 and 99.4 (though only 3-4 games each) Also that 7 TD to 8 INT ratio just validates it more...guys a back-up...cut and dried, And Duke is coming from a lousy BILL's camp where he was slowest guy there, and basically couldn't get open, he will be a nice toy but not take them anywhere they already haven't ventured to this year...3 points

To also put this into perspective, the guy who maimed my mother for life had his drivers taken away for 1 year. Then he had to pay a very high cost to get it back, 2-3 grand. His parents paid it. He didnt miss any days of work or get fired. He wasnt arrested or charged. I lived in a small town and went to school with his younger brother, and at an earlier point he dated my sister. He bitched and moaned endlessly to all who would listen about not having his license and the cost of his insurance. My ex's dad got soo many tickets and DUI's they took his drivers permanently. (he was intoxicated and flipped his truck on a back road in the middle of summer for the "final straw") Only he drove long distances for work. And his boss hired a high end lawyer who was able to get it knocked down so he could drive for work for 3 years then got his full license back. They listed his residence as his cabin, and since he worked all over basically every car ride could be considered work. I can share too many stories like that. I take DUI very seriously, and personally. Our society does not. Drive around the south east of the province and youll see more intoxicated drivers than drivers on their phone on the weekend. Most people arent good or bad. Every one makes a bad decision every now and then. Lawlers actions past this point will forever come under a greater deal of scrutiny. If he has a minor issue, he may get passed over completely by the NFL and miss out on his window. Half way through this year he's on track to get an NFL deal. If this went worse, he couldve been out of football for good. Id say the punishment, and potential further punishment is in line with the crime. Far, far more so than it is for most civilians.3 points
