Was interested in this so decided to look it up the last time a Blue Bomber coach had 5 consecutive 10+ win seasons Bud Grant who had six in a 1957-1962 and now Mike O'Shea 2016-2021. Only two that have done it in the history of the club.7 points

Surprised about Roquemore. Maybe he asked for his release? Or, maybe eith Briggs playing well we don't/have a spot for him to back up Kyrie? Making room for Rose? I don't know but he is in the Alex McCallister category of I wish we saw more.5 points -

I would have hated for Glover to win, but I could definitely see why her supporters would be upset. Stefanson was clearly the choice of the party, there was an issues of missing ballots and it was a very close result. Anti-vax whackos joined up on mass to have their say in the new premier. Anti-vax superstar Patrick Allard personally went around to collect ballots from his mob of idiots and deliver them because they didn't trust mailing them in. Is this a rerun of a show I've seen before?3 points -

Bomber fans today who weren't around when Dave Raimey played for the Bombers have no idea just how good he was & the moves he put on would be tacklers. He wasn't called The Knife for nothing. Playing on brutal Bomber teams with sub par offensive lines & crappy qbs defenses could key on him & he still was a thousand yard rusher. Put him on a powerhouse team like Ottawa, Calgary & Sask at the time & he'd have been a 1600-1700 yard rusher. He was traded early season in the 1969 season to the Argos where he shared the same backfield with another thousand yard all star halfback by the name of Bill Symons. A season ending knee injury in 1970 ended his career as an offensive halfback but in 1971 he switched to cornerback & played very well at that position until 1975 when he retired.3 points -

Start and end the season earlier. Games on Thursday through Sunday before the NFL starts. Thursday through Saturday after the NFL starts. More game nights, less triple headers. X Canadians, Y Americans, Z Globals. QB's are treated the same as any other player ratio wise. Teams can dress as many or as few QB's as they want. Longer work days, more contact practices. No divisions. Top 2 teams get a bye. 2 & 3 get home games. 2 plays 6. 3 plays 4. 16 game season. Every team plays every other team twice. Saturday playoff games. Sunday Grey Cup. 2 year contracts with an NFL window. Teams retain rights of NFL window players who have another year left on their contracts.3 points

Off the field changes I would make... Change neg-list from 45 players to 15 and everyone on the list gets fully disclosed. Multi-broadcaster arrangement. When this deal expires, any further deal should involve more than one broadcaster. I think this could still be led by TSN but ensure that some games (one per week?) get shown on CTV. Or, an arrangement like Sportsnet has with hockey, where some games get shown on CBC. Have to be creative but I want to see games on more than just TSN and on the main broadcasters. Can't do anything about the one-year deals but you can incentivize teams to allow players to try out for NFL. Those players should go automatically onto a reserve list, like the neg-list, with five or so option players. If they come back, that team gets first chance to sign them. Let's get kids in stands. Every team should offer a lower price point for under 18 year olds and not just in the end zone. Let's invest in the future. There must be a way to incentivize teams to offer family friendly pricing. Move the season up, they've begun doing. I would love for the GC to be played the first or second weekend in November.2 points

True, but the lack of continuity on rosters makes it harder for fans to engage with their favourite players. That’s why an option window seems like a nice trade off. Players may stay in the CFL and play rather than floating around not playing anywhere waiting to get picked up by an NFL team. CFL gets more stability with its players, NFL has players who are keeping active, players can get more long term security but also not have an NFL opportunity pass them by. Lots of moving parts for sure, and maybe CFL contracts need to be guaranteed as well. No cutting players prior to training camp to get out of bonuses to be paid.2 points -

I think people trying to oust the 1 year contract rule are failing to realize most players dream of playing in the NFL... Not the CFL. If players were required to be locked in to a CFL contract at a cheaper rate, it just reduces our talent pool of Americans further.2 points -

Add a couple roster spots. 1 ni qb 1 more di 2 more Canadian back ups. Teams need more depth at wr and db ofc qb too. But the ol and more chances to get into games for young developmental ol. Change command center reviews. Have 3 officials review the play separately then go with consensus. Cap the number of players on the ir and suspended list who haven't dressed for a game. No more 30 man extended pr for the riders. Fix the injury report and penalize teams for shenanigans. Like ford said in our game add junior players to the draft. Maybe have 2 spots for k p ko. If teams run 1 player for all 3 roles give em an extra ni. Been a whole lot of terrible punting and kicking this year. Lots of times teams would be better off just going for it on 3rd down.2 points

I don’t think the sit Collaros at home. Lots of paying fans want to see the best players on the field. Only weirdos like us want to know what the back ups can do. I’m also concerned that if our back ups struggle it puts an extra target on Collaros to knock him out of the game.2 points -

Since we have another week before game related Bomber action, thought I’d throw out a random topic for discussion. You are the commissioner and can change something about the CFL, what would you do? Don’t go for low hanging fruit like “kick the Roughriders out”, “fire Ambrosie”, or “Bombers get the Cup every year”, what rule changes, scheduling, roster moves, or marketing would you implement? I will throw out a few to start: Despite people’s love of the cottage in summer, game attendance actually is highest in those months and drops after Labour Day. So move up the season schedule so the league starts in May, and can be done before November. Get a 10th team in now, or cut back to 16 games, one home and one road game against each team. Two bye weeks per team a year. Bring back the third QB, but mandate that they must be Canadian Open up the NFL option window, but eliminate the one year comtract. Of a player leaves for the NFL, their CFL team retains first refusal of rights unless player is gone for the entire following CFL season. Playoff games on Saturday, especially the Grey Cup. How many fans don’t travel to the big game because they need to be back at work Monday and can’t make the flights out with an evening Sunday game? Saturday late afternoon game allows a lot of Saturday night post-game partying and Sunday is travel day for the fans. Anything else?1 point -

Those are some remarkable names. Playing halfback as a kid in a make up game I had to be “Dave Raimey”. Everyone had to be a player I guess. My best Buddy was Ron Lancaster. When the bombers stunk in that era, I would have to like the stamps, they could beat the stinkin riders. Liske was a treat to watch, yet the stamps defence was fantastic. Wayne Harris of course, but Granville Liggins was a fast hard working ,multi sport (wrestling) athlete, heisman candidate, and became a Canadian citizen. I didn’t like Joe Kapp til he went to Minnesota. Joe Zuger had a cool name, won three cups and played two roles, so had to cheer for him. Angelo Mosca, still the meanest player in CFL history, and John Barrow were a force.1 point
