  7. apparently pouring rain in Montreal.... I'd think a greasy game helps us, with this roster. Win it 14-12. But I'm excited for all the "kids" who get a chance to start. I wish the stats in this game didn't count against the regular season records that we've been breaking, defensively, but it should be a fun watch, at any rate. I was supposed to work tomorrow but I switched shifts so I could listen to the entire pre-game show and the game. Really wanna soak up all the Irving broadcasts that we have left...

In the US it seems all to easy - if you are black you are a threat and if you are white you are not. This may seem comically simplistic and patently absurd as a statement, but since the advent of phone cameras and police body cams it has proven to be shockingly accurate.

  10. was just going by this: also interesting for this week - if Stanley Bryant sits, as we expect, it will be the first time since 2014 that someone other than him has played LT for the WBB FC. That's insane...

  11. Irving apparently let the other media members know, during TC, that this was going to be his last season. They just made it public recently. Said that all the other work, aside from calling the games, has become too much. More than fair.

  12. None of the players are taking their foot off the gas. There are some talented players that have worked hard in training/practices all year that are getting a deserved chance. This is what the team has worked for. From the players perspective, who may sit this week: Game (Week 14) Bye (Week 15) Game (Week 16) Bye (Semis) Game (West Final). It's good for rest and recuperation. Also, if your replacement plays well, you better step up next week.

  14. Nope no compassion from me, everyone has stress in life and it doesn't give anyone a free card to be a ****. Maybe if he checked his ego at the door he would of had an easier go of it both in his personal and professional life. Also a real man doesn't assault a woman.

And I believe that Rittenhouse will be acquitted, and that under the laws of the USA he will have a defence that will be accepted. And that to my mind is the problem. In most democratic nations just showing up with a semi-automatic rifle to any public gathering if you are not military or police would be a crime, and if you used that weapon to kill someone, you would not be perceived as defending against a threat, YOU would be the threat. The USA is an embarrassment that this kind of logic does not apply but “stand your ground” is considered good law.

  16. Kelly had that legendary post game interview with Bob & Mitch Zalnasky where he was downright nasty to them both after a loss in Montreal. That was the beginning of the end for Mike Kelly. If a coach is angry at Bob Irving then it's time to go as Bob will find positives even in a Bomber loss. Then the rudeness to callers Kelly would show on The Coach's Show to the point they stopped having callers talking to him. Yeah, most questions from fans are stupid but as the face of the team Kelly never showed any decorum & spit venom whenever he could. He sure wore out his welcome in just one season.

  26. Apparently a sellout at BMO Field tonight. Two caveats - 1) it is a socially distanced sellout, so I think they capped sales at 15,000, and 2) it is against Hamilton, so many of the seats sold could be to Tiger Cat fans. But every little bit helps in trying to encourage attendance in Toronto.

Enough of the fines, padlock businesses and churches that ignore restrictions. The fines will never be paid but closing them down will get the message thru.

  32. 2001 was a great regular season, but there were definitely some instances of Lady Luck being on our side. The only game I felt we were lucky to eke out a win was the 18-16 win over Calgary. As for players getting complacent - I just can't see that happening with O'Shea or this core group of players.

There is no reason in the world to have a handgun strapped to your thigh, this isn't the 1800's, same goes for anyone walking around with a fully loaded AR 15 you are not in the Army nor are you at war, all this is about is an image of toughness, intimidation and strength using the 2nd amendment that is horribly out of date and archaic as there crutch and of course for the makers to make millions and millions of dollars

  42. Kelly had some serious anger management issues. He would go from zero to 100 very quickly. That was a problem. And I agree, when he called Bob Irving's questions "bullshit" on live radio that was pretty much the end. You don't talk to Bob like that. Even Putin wouldn't have done that lol...

  43. My grandfather planted plenty of elm trees in his day. But now we have that bloody dutch elm disease I spend plenty of time in the bush. The wild elm trees get to a certain size and then start dying out, just like clock work But at least we still have younger elm growing. Now I see the same thing happening with ash. Big beautiful trees being destroyed by the ash beetle But so far, poplar, oak and maple appear to be as resilient as a ever.

So the gun just magically appeared in his hands? Pretty sure there's words from his own mouth in the trial that he was there to protect property. Get your head outta your ass, the guy went looking for trouble and you gotta be some kind of ignorant to not see that. Like I said, at best he is a vigilante... and that's not a good thing. Guys like that don't get to take the law into their own hands. That video is made with a bias, but you have to consider that there is truth in some of that. why on earth do people defend human trash like this? You can hold the position that rioters and the people who go there to "police" them and wind up killing them are trash too. Guy murdered 2 people and wounded a third. Why defend him?

  48. Personally, I always liked the pilot project used by Stockholm, Sweden. Cameras are fitted to issue tickets, but also track when vehicles obey or are below the speed limit. Drivers that obey the rules are entered into a lottery to win cash prizes. The prize pool is funded by the fines of people that speed. Of course, Winnipeg would never go for this idea because we actively rely upon speeding ticket revenue.
