I'm 2/3 there. Do I get a prize? Before remote learning, I went from being a teacher to being a lawn care guy so I could keep myself and pregnant wife safe and to be able to see my parents. I've been literally on my death bed in ICU because of my condition before (when I was 24 no less), so I've been playing it pretty safe, especially since each of the 3 vax shots I've had are likely not super effective on me. Not expecting the world to stop for people like myself, but just for people to be aware there are many people who can't "accept living with Covid" and have had really sh**y lives the past two years. When our hospitals are full and access to medical care is limited, that is the time to have restrictions that actually mean something. Agreed that the conversation on here has been great. A lot of the drivel online is disgusting and not representative of the real population that actually has compassion and awareness.7 points -

No one said Sayles sucks. Like another poster mentioned, he's more of a hybrid DE who just doesnt have the body/strength of Richardson so by nature isnt the run stuffer Stove is. Use the eye test, stats, whatever you want, it cant be debated that Richardson in the lineup made a huge difference for our run defense. Not to be forgotten is the fact that he routinely ties up two blockers freeing up the two Jeff's to do their damage more easily. Losing him may have a trickle down effect on those guys too. We waltzed through the season pounding the league so our run game issues without Stove didnt hurt us. My point is Richardson is a huge asset on D and it will suffer if he leaves, especially so if our offense isnt as potent next season and teams can stick with us longer.6 points -

Imagine the career this man has had and now, dealing with the pandemic, has to answer some of the dumbest questions by asshat politicians who have fallen for misinformation and conspiracy theories. Which is to say nothing about Fauci and his family getting death threats from MAGAt nutbars and harassed by covidiots.6 points -

Good discussion . I've really been pondering on the anti-vax people lately. I actually know alot of them. One neighbor had fallen into the whole pro-Trump, anti everything, conspiracy crap before Covid so just naturally became anti vax. He seems perfectly okay taking cancer treatments though. His unvaccinated wife also has a debilitating auto-immune disease. I know a bright, ambitious business woman who I believe took a real punch in the gut with a business she had just opened prior to Covid. I suspect initially it was a reaction to having to shut her doors and having reduced clientele when she was allowed to reopen. She has a close friend who probably heavily influenced her as well.Just a slow slide down the rabbit hole. I know 2 who I just attribute their decision to a lack of intelligence. I know another family that is a really perplexing case. The father is one of the smartest guys I have ever dealt with. His son is a close second. They are incredible business men. Their net worth is hundreds of millions. Their company is on the New York stock exchange. The fathers wife is/ was in hospital with Covid and not doing well the last thing I heard. But they are still anti-vax. I put them down to arrogance. On a good note there can be change of hearts. The Hutterite colony beside us has decided to vaccinate. I was glad to hear it as they are really good people . Most of the rest that I mentioned will never change.6 points -

Pretty sure Jones is needing some off-season surgery, and if it didn't require it, pretty sure he isn't able to do workouts right now....Fully expect him back, and Taylor if we need/want him Nichols is back if he doesn't get an NFL deal....which I doubt (age and past PR time against him) and If we can fit Rose and Darby in I think we are fine...I know team will do all they have to in order to retain them, and Taylor will be back here if team see's another year in him, and pretty sure Jones is a lock to be back...He wont break the bank with this contract. Also I am sure Maston will come on value coming off injury, and it wouldn't shock me to see Sayles back here next year too5 points -

Well if Kongbo is gone for a bit, and I believe this is his last chance to stick there for at least a year, maybe 2, then his Canadian vet money easily can cover keeping Stove, so it's a win in that regard, as I would think whatever Kongbo would have been valued at outweighs what Stove would command...I think we good there, and I am sure if we reach out to a Canadian defender in FA, They won't be opposed to coming here There are several Canadian guys available in free -agency that we could sign at linebacker/dline to rotate in as that extra Canadian on defense to allow us to off-set that ratio rotation we had going on...5 points -

Hopefully Jones comes back. Nichols is 27 and coming off a great year. This may be his last kick at the can but I coild see someone bringing him to camp. I think Sayles signed a multi-year deal in BC? Could be wrong. I remember it being 3 years. I'd honestly prefer to lose Rose over Richardson. Walters has proven he can find DB's and there are tons of them out there. We legit had 30+ in camp last season. Beastly DT's are much harder to come by.4 points -

This is the weird one to me. I would have thought someone who suffered financially because of lockdowns would jump at the potential cure. A comedienne named Julie Nolke did a series of online bits describing the pandemic to her past self, pretty clever. In one of the bits her future self shows up and the past version says “oh, you’re back with more bad news. Let me guess, still in lockdown, no vaccines” and the future one says “oh no, we have the vaccines, people just don’t want to take them”. The past self says “wait, people have been protesting the lockdowns and begging for society to get back to normal, now we have the vaccine that is the salvation we have been waiting for, and those same people now don’t want to take it? Seems like a bit of a slap in the face”. Here is a link to the video. It is number 5 in the series. The whole set is worth a watch IMO for a good chuckle.4 points -

Perhaps it would be better to differentiate between "emotional" decisions and willful ignorance. The vast amount of credible data out there is unequivocally pro-vaccination, but if someone choose to look for data/rumours out there, they are also available. The choice to accept patently false data is either rooted in an emotional response (not my body) or a desire to believe and portray themselves as intellectually superior to others, or by blindly following some sort of self-appointed maven. Very few of these are open to data that conflicts with their belief system, and inevitably, their self-esteem becomes conflated with aberrant beliefs and they cannot back down without suffering cognitive dissonance. So, their rigid thinking persists, their positions harden and any conflicting information serves only to reinforce their thinking. They become totally emotionally invested in their beliefs, because, if they are wrong about vaccination, then they would have to question everything they believe in, and that will simply not do.4 points -

I just wish we didn't have a Health Minister, at this point. She's so useless she's harming the system more. I can't imagine what her briefings are like. I have sat across the table from some pretty clueless Ministers and she would rank right up there. Of course the Ministers I briefed had much less significant portfolios.3 points

What you're missing is we always have a nose. We only replace a guy when we already have another. Poop Bryant Nevis stove. And stove is the best of them by a mile. No stove no ship. We replaced 3 starting dbs from 2019. Fogg was one of many guys who stuck for vet reasons. Don't forget he was a turn over and td machine. Also if you look back we cut dbs instead that started for other teams and ppl wished it was him instead. The difference in our d is that ba lets biggie and the dbs do more. Stove lets biggie play mlb. No stove and we play that terrible 5 man front.3 points -

He wasn't over paid in ssk. And in tor he was under used. But coming off that year he could come cheap. And he's good on teams. If you think stove is easier to replace than a db then man idk what to say. Stove biggie and ba are the hardest to replace on our d. I don't think you get the nature of what he does. Maybe 2 other guys in the league can do what he does. 1 was injured and might not be able to do it any more and neither are as good as stove. We replaced 2 excellent dbs in Sayles and rose with rookies in 2021. When stove was out we got thrashed in the run game.3 points -
Mike Lindell says he has 'enough evidence' to put '300 million' Americans in jail for election fraud MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell argued this week that "300 million" Americans belong in jail for election fraud. Lindell's remarks on Real America's Voice were first reported by Right Wing Watch. "Everything you're going to see over these next seven months to get rid of the [voting] machines," he said. "You're going to see the Supreme Court case coming out. All these great things, everybody." Lindell insisted that he has the "pieces of the puzzle" to prove the 2020 presidential election was stolen from Donald Trump. "And you talk about evidence," Lindell added. "We have enough evidence to put everybody in prison for life, 300 and some million people. We have that all the way back to November and December." Despite his claim, Lindell did not reveal evidence that could put all Americans in jail. QAnon cultists wonder if John Lennon and Tupac will appear with JFK at Trump’s Arizona rally: report Supporters of the QAnon cult are converging on Arizona ahead of Donald Trump's scheduled Saturday campaign rally, according to a new report. "Former President Donald Trump will hold his first rally of 2022 in Arizona on Saturday and it’s set to be packed with QAnon folks, both on stage and in the crowd," Vice reported Wednesday. Arizona state Rep. Mark Finchem, who is running for Secretary of State, will address the audience as a "special guest speaker." Vice reported Finchem has "repeatedly shared QAnon conspiracies on social media and on QAnon-friendly podcasts and media platforms, and last year he headlined a major QAnon conference in Las Vegas. Joining Finchem on stage will be uber conspiracy theorist and pillow salesman Mike Lindell, who is so deeply enmeshed with the QAnon community at this point that it’s hard to separate his personal conspiracy theories about stolen elections from those spread by QAnon." Arizona gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake is also scheduled to speak. Lake was photographed dining with Ron Watkins, who many believe is the mysterious "Q" behind the conspiracy theory. Watkins is running for Congress and his father, 8kun owner Jim Watkins, posted a video showing his excitement for the rally. Also expected to attend is Michael Protzman, who has spent months in Dallas awaiting the return of John F. Kennedy and his son, JFK, Jr. "Protzman announced on one of his many live audio chats that his group is traveling to the Arizona rally, and he made vague predictions about what might happen on the day, including yet another possible appearance by JFK," Vice reported. "In an audio chat on Tuesday, with over 1,000 people listening, Protzman once again claimed that President Joe Biden was never inaugurated and hasn’t been living and working in the White House but rather is actually part of a movie being filmed on a set in Culver City, California." Expectations are high for some QAnon cultists. QAnon cultists wonder if John Lennon and Tupac will appear with JFK at Trump’s Arizona rally: report - Alternet.org3 points

Maybe we should be focusing on an under-the-radar rotational Canadian player in FA? Seems like a shrewd pickup Walters would make. Just can't let our Canadian depth get depleted too much3 points -
I'm glad for him. If he keeps up how he finished the season he will make the nfl. If not we will be Happy to have him back. My big concern with this potential loss is his rotation spot as a ni. Briggs and Gauthier were over extended last year. They left us exposed too frequently in the run game. Those two have no chance of beating a block. They get swallowed up and pushed out of gaps too easily.3 points
