Statement from WPS: "No charges were laid during the events. Two individuals were detained under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act for their safety (related to traffic concerns) and were conveyed to a residence where they were turned over to friends." It only took 4 or 5 cops to surround and drag this individual into the back of a cruiser. A passerby got this image as it happened: I'm sure the convoy members are all sober as judges and the grounds are drier than Steinbach in the 60's 🙄

https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/trudeau-premiers-cabinet-1.6350734 Going on week 3 of this garbage, a nation embarrassed by ignorant, privileged, self-interested whiners, law enforcement sitting by mostly idle (some even complicit). It was only a matter of time and now hands have been forced. I guess this as close to the "oppression and tyranny" those mouth-breathing losers wanted.

Really important and appreciated post. We're still in the thick of Omicron... The most transmissible variant so far. Hospitalizations are still around record highs, same with ICU and in AB the deaths are staggering. Seeing between 20-30/day at times over the past couple weeks. There is every reason to be extremely concerned right now and taking every precaution available.

  19. I love that the bombers are locking up the "secondary core" of players to two year deals... by "secondary" I mean, behind the primary core, not defensive back field... Nichols, BA, Augustine, Brady, Gray, Woli (probably a few I'm missing)

  20. All respect I think you’re missing the forest for the trees here. I highly doubt he means HE accomplished it all by himself. I think what he’s saying is that with the Grey Cups he’s deserving of a big contract. Like anyone would.

  25. What he really meant was, "people didn't think his life should be ruined over a dui where no one got hurt." Yes it was a mistake I'm sure he's sorry for. It's pathetic to bring this up as some kind of proof that he lacks character. It's even worse to suggest he's not a team guy because of an interview where he says "I won a grey cup." Like that's wrong somehow. People got hurt feelings and they're looking for justifications.

And that's the issue- they will be the ones in hospitals and ICUs, and the people who are fully vaxxed that were in a car accident won't have a bed in the ICU because of all the antivaxxers are sitting on ventilators... oh, you just had a heart attack- sorry, no bed for you. No beds, means NO beds. The whole reason for all the mandates was to protect our healthcare system. So no, it's not as simple as "**** those that don't".

Steve Schmidt@SteveSchmidtSES13/ They hate “freedom” they can’t control, therefore they despise American Liberty and specifically its modern notion which is that at long last, freedom means freedom for everyone. That is what we are fighting about. Should we lose, the music stops. For a very long time. I adore that line 'They hate "freedom" they can't control', they being knuckle dragging lazy thinking self entitled human beings that only relate to other human beings that look, feel and talk like them.

  40. What a joke of a reason. Russian athletes should not even be competing given the massive state sanctioned doping that has been proven again and again with their program. Now another one, and the IOC turns a blind eye because she is o ly 15 and because it took a while to get the test results out due to pandemic testing.

He won't be understanding at all. This is what's really at the heart of these protests. They are not about vaccines, that's just a smoke screen. These guys are afraid of their own priveleges being eroded, due to some of the groups you mentioned asserting themselves. Why else are the police playing nice?

This statement and similar statements like living rent free in someone's head is sometimes (not always) an overused and sometimes incorrect, frustrating, not helpful response to sane people of all shapes, sizes and colors just trying to be socially responsible human beings. Being socially responsible does not mean living in fear you self-entitled, lazy thinking knuckle draggers. When I see people smirking around proudly wearing sweatshirts that say JustSayNo #ChrisSky all I see is Just Say No to being a good human being for one another. It's like 'I can do whatever I want, my freedom, my rights, no one can tell me what to do, sane person challenges me, look I'm living rent free in their head ha ha'. And then have a bystander come by and say yup their living rent free in your head just isn't useful. It really isn't useful as much as you think it is by generally applying with no specifics Covey's what's in your control, influence and out of your control approach to this specific situation of social responsibility.

No, probably not as there are too many social conservatives & Reformers still living in the 90's in that party. They also support the occupatiosn going on right now which I believe will be their fatal mistake. I don't know where I'll park my vote. My 2 sons can't figure out what's happened to me as they are right wing Conservatives. I told them people change with age & experience. I'm a senior now. I'm not 35 when I was a piss full of vinegar Reformer. Today, I see cuts to healthcare. I see a moronic AB Premier who picvks fights with everyone & hasn't come through on one election promise. Dropping masking restrictions is just crazy. I can't stand Kenney. I thought O'Toole was a lying fool. (Hey, that rhymes). I'll never go back to the Conservative I was in 1993.

Nope.... The Nazi Hitler was considered a kook, fringe, and a nobody. If you are there with them, you are giving them support intentionally, or not. Trump was considered a kook, outsider, fringe, laughed at and despised by everyone, including all of the leading Republicans. lindsay Graham mocked him . Look at him now. He even has fans at this site. Dont dismiss these people. they are ruthless, committed, organized and well funded, back by elected polticians, ( I dont care what they say when the light is on them) with large pool of stupid people they can dupe into following them. and a timorous political, class, quaking in the corner, and checking the polls. Having been handed so much power, let's see what their next "demand " is when this is over. They arent leaving quietly. the whole thing is rancid.
