  2. we will absolutely be taking an OL with our first pick....I have zero doubts about this. Especially with Desjarlais gone and Dobson likely down south as well. Walters has taken an OL first in every single draft, right? Why would he change that now when we actually do need to stock the cupboards....?

I don't know where to put this so I'm putting it here. Presently life is hard for a lot of sane people of many stripes, colors and shapes for similar and unique reasons. So when all this craziness of what's going on around us locally and globally gets tempered to manageable portions we are going to have an in-person Morning Big Blue member party where we can meet each other face to face and uncloak our monikers and meet each other as real people. Because I'm just the idea guy I vote that that the top 5 members with the most reputation points organize this event. 🙂 A victim of your own success so to speak. All members tho will contribute what they can monetarily to make it happen. 🙂 Now back to your regularly scheduled craziness. Go Ukraine.

Unfortunately these bots have already done their damage in lowering even further some people's knuckles to the ground. Hopefully some of them can be re-wired back to being a sane person who believes in science.

Me too but I'm also anti-lunacy. I'd like to cobble them all together (Putin, that lunatic from North Korea, the whole Trump family and their ardent supporters, a good portion of the GOP'ers, knuckle dragging free dumb fighters etc etc) and send them all on their way. A whole lot of pressure in this world sure would be relieved.

I wasn't the biggest fan of Joss Reimer when she compared the persecution of Mennonites to the persecution of Indigenous Canadians, but she's been pretty solid overall during the pandemic.

I agree; a rebuild isn’t necessary. A retooling should do the trick. Along with a complete coaching overhaul.

Being the impatient guy that I am with certain things, how about a reload next year instead of a rebuild? We got a pretty good core already to build around even if you took out 55 and 26, no?

  16. No political party gives a crap about people who don't vote. If you want change, use your vote. Not voting is a an abdication of your right to uphold democracy. You don't have to like the government in power, but you can't not like the idea of "government" - especially in a country as free as Canada.

Not all is rosy on the Russian side of things... The Rouble has dropped 32 percent in 2 days, against the dollar and the Euro. To try and stop a this run on the rouble, The Bank of Russia - is hiking interest rates from 9.5 per cent to 20 per cent this morning. The Russian finance ministry also ordered exporting companies to sell 80 per cent of their foreign currency revenues on the market to try to support the rouble - the value of which continued to collapse on the Moscow Stock Exchange, today. The Russian economy has plummeted an estimated 30 per cent overnight as the West's sanctions over the Ukraine war are starting to squeeze the economy. So there is that......

Man, I used to be a proud Conservative. I admired Sir John A, Diefenbaker & Mulroney. I looked up to Eisenhower & Reagan. Now pffffft. The simpletons in power on both sides of the border are pathetic. I can't support these assclowns anymore so as a disaffected Conservative, where do I park my vote? Maybe I won't vote. Nobody deserves my support.

  23. Of all the teams in the Eastern Division, I hate the RedBlacks the most. Ever since they came back they act like the CFL owes them. Can't stand this sense of entitlement that Desjardins built with the team & it's fanbase.

  24. I actually watched the video where the quote in that headline came from, nobody was crying or complaining. It was actually very interesting getting to see behind the scenes footage from the war room. even if it is for another team. I wish the Bombers had something like Behind the R. Anyone that wants to grow interest in the CFL especially with a younger crowd would undoubtedly agree we should have a show like this.

Well, add me to the list. I'm the second most COVID-safe person I know....never go anywhere other than the office and once a week to the grocery store.... Aaaand I tested positive yesterday afternoon (and again this morning). So far just a mild cold. Had a slight tickle cough yesterday... Today is a little more sinus-headache-y and less cough. Hopefully back to 100% by the end of the week. Thankfully able to work from home this week...

bear in mind that propaganda machines are in overdrive on all sides, so the facts will not get in the way of a good story at this point. Like, is there really a Ghost of Kyiv? Only the Ukrainian air force command knows.

I'd be interested in other opinions on this, but I don't think this is any indication of China cutting out Russia. I think it is more a bank trying to maintain wealth and not offer credit to corporations that are unlikely to be able to pay off the credit. I could be wrong, but I would also be shocked if China opposed Russia in any meaningful way. China's gonna be China and try to benefit from this in any way they can.

Had it about a month ago with similar symptoms to what you described. Got a little worse over the course of 3 days, day 4 felt much better and then it hit hardest on day 5. All in all, not too bad, but sinus congestion and a little trouble breathing for that one day was enough for me to know that I was very glad to have had the vaccine.

When you've used the term Justinflation to regurgitate Poilievre talking points, I listened, looked up the facts, and proved you completely wrong. You admitted it by saying that leaders sometimes take the heat for things beyond their control. Yet you still think there is some credibility in using it again 🙄 You've admitted that Conservatives can gain support by provoking anger even though it isn't backed up by facts. I agree, but I think this is a bad aspect of our political system and leads to Canada becoming a worse country. Appealing to anger and pandering to those informed by misinformation for personal gain is NOT a way to make our country better. We've seen this show in the US. I have no problem listening to opposing viewpoints, but I have no patience for arguments that are admittedly not based on facts. I will call out bullsh** every time I see it and have time to actually look up the facts myself. I have voted for at least 4 different political parties that I can recall of the top of my head. I do not have my vote parked with any party, but will evaluate where I vote in elections based on who provides the best policy that is backed up by facts. If a party's main arguments are completely, objectively false, I have no reason to support a party without credibility. My hope is that most voters will engage in critical thinking when choosing a political party rather than just listening to their chosen side and utilizing their talking points as facts without actually checking if they are based in reality.
