CFL contracts aren’t guaranteed and a dude who hasn’t played since 2018 and was in a serious car accident isn’t going to command a large sum of guaranteed dollars. I would love to see Saunders in camp.3 points -

This is what concerns me about the "open season" on mining that has been declared in Manitoba, including with Snow Lake Lithium. I haven't looked into that project specifically, but it is easy to greenwash projects to get approval, while eventually causing environmental disasters. I have been paying attention to the CanWhite Sands project they will likely be building near Vivian. They brand themselves as an ESG mining company, but there is quite a bit of dirt when you look under the hood. Approvals being given without environmental reviews, inaccurate science being presented, all with the danger of contamination to the huge Sandilands aquifer that services a large portion of Manitoba. I'm not against mining per se, nor the Snow Lake project necessarily. I would just like strong regulations, transparent information and real consequences when companies mess with the environment. We've seen many lakes/rivers and even communities being destroyed by mining/logging/hydro development. Mining destruction discovered in Nopiming Provincial Park | Wilderness Committee3 points -

I'm not pointing fingers, but man it has gotta be exhausting being sour/angry/negative all the time about seemingly everything. I have faith in this regime because they haven't steered me wrong yet. I have faith in a raw kid who kicked 92% in CIS. I have faith in an American guy whose only real issue (apparently) was the angles of a much larger field. We have a whole camp to get it figured out and if they don't have someone they like, there are dozens and dozens of kickers out there that can be brought in.2 points -

Ali and legs are raw enough that they could improve significantly. The other two are pointless to bring in. Sergio stuck around here for most of a year with the best kicker in league history in front of him. When he was let go he went to another team right away and was medlock esq then found his way to the nfl. Hilarious to try and paint that as negative. Not to mention no Castillo no cup last year. I still hope lirim is back.2 points -

Believe that Lirim Hajrullahu would appreciate reading that comment after he was run out of Wpg a few years back, then to see many wanting him back last year.... Shake my head. Secondly, Marc Liegghio's university kicking was absolutely nothing to worry about, pretty damn good in my opinion and an excellent draft pick!!!! The young man needs this fan base to back him, rather than hear the boo birds come as is the case... Wow, its sad reading some of the stuff on here. Sometimes I think I'm in the green/white site... Lets not do what has been done before to the above kicker who is kicking in the NFL, today. Mourtada, well we need to be careful here. As has been said, he needs to make the adjustments and work on his craft. Definitely wasn't a Sergi but who knows he just may surprise us... I'm not giving up on him and for sure not going to crap on him as well. Sergi Castillo, well prior to Medlock, I liked him as a kicker when he was with us. He was good then and still is very good for our organization and looked like he was enjoying this time during the Grey Cup celebrations at the IG in December. The 2021 Grey Cup game was more than enough. I hope he does make his way back to the Wpg for the next couple years as our kicker. He's a keeper.... As far as our kicking situation in general, our management group, has had things in control for a few years now. Little is let out of the bag, until things are in place, i's are dotted and t's crossed before the fan base is made aware... We will be OK... Patience, I believe is required. I don't post often, but have been on this site for a while.. and read most of the material..... Just my two cents, for what ever that is worth2 points -

Koe vs Gushue for the Brier Final? Hard pass. (clap, clap, clap). We keep sending McEwen every year & they usucally have a hard time winning half their games. Nothing changes as you know he'll never win a Brier. Just another Gary Ross or Claire DeBlonde.1 point -

I'm definitely willing to give Mourtada and Legghio another shot. The L'ks clearly spent way more than we could offer, and that's fine. They'll need the kicking points more than we will....1 point

Correct me if I'm wrong, but we've just won back to back Grey Cups, right? If so, I think we can assume that the people that got us here know what they ar doing and have a plan. So maybe, we can stow the hand wringing for now and see how things unfold.1 point -

So, all the North American car companies ditched automobiles last year in favour of heavy pickups & SUV's. Oil was about $50 a barrel at the time. Now it's approaching 3 times that. No one is going to buy the big vehicles with gas prices like that. Has GM, Ford & Chrysler screwed themselves over & will they do a hard 180 to discontinue these vehicles as sales for large vehicles tank & get back into smaller automobiles & light trucks. They did it as a result of Trump getting rid of fuel mileage standards in the US. I thought the decision they all made at the time was shortsighted & now they all have to rethink their strategies & bring back cars to the buying public with better gas mileage than at present.1 point -
