  2. Yep, formula for the week was only set to pickup 3 games for some reason. All should be good now. If anyone sees what they think is an error, feel free to point it out or ask. No offence taken . Would rather get the results right. 😀

  4. Glad we have the culture we do. I am fine with the rest of the CFL not realizing culture matters.

  5. Arbuckle had zero yards passing up to half way through the second quarter. Zero. He ended up with 315 to the Faj 247. Kenny was the star of the game, good for him.

  7. Just a couple of first hand accounts on alfalfa , poplar, cows and trees. I have grown alfalfa most of my life. As a feed when I had cattle, as a crop when I sold bales and notably as a rotational crop in grain production. Alfalfa is a nitrogen fixer. It takes nitrogen from the air and converts it into a form that can be used by plants. It's root system also breaks through hard pan and mellows up soil for multiple years. It along with other legumes and beneficial plants can be part of a plow / graze down system for organic production. ( which we currently do ) On poplar. They are a pretty good firewood. No, not as good as oak or ash but properly cured and STACKED it's good wood. We currently burn almost exclusivly spruce as many of the spruce planted by my father and uncle in the 30s or maybe even late 20s have timed out and are dieing. I'd much rather burn poplar but we need to clean up the dead spruce. One of the good things about planting poplar is I dont believe any of the host of diseases and bugs have attacked them yet. Dutch elm disease got our elms and now the Emerald Ash bug will devastate the ash. ( including all the ones plated as windbreaks ). Poplar are a resilient, fast growing , tree. There was a push to plant marginal land to trees for pulp and paper a few years ago and it was poplar that was being planted. On cows and trees : They certainly can clean out all the young trees out of a bush, depending on the number of cows and the size ( acres ) of the bush.. There was a study done in our area a few years ago that showed the most environmentally beneficial thing to do with our riparian zones was to fence the cattle out but allow them to come in and graze off the grasses a couple of times a year. That way there is less damage to trees, and soil but less grasses on the clear spots that build up a thatch and send phosphates down stream. Edit : Dammit all that cow/ poplar talk has dredged up a memory. I can't stop myself from telling it .I had a cow, " Missy " that had a real talent for walking down poplar trees. She would take a poplar up to 3 inches in diameter ,maybe 15 ft tall , push on it then get it between her front legs on her brisket and walk it down till she got to leaves. The crazy part was no other cow could do it quite like her but they knew that she could and would gather around when she started doing it so they could join in the feast. You wouldn't want a herd with her ability.

  9. I can't believe TSN gets away with this. Last night with Sinopoli and tonight with Cui. It angers me because both of them deseve the attention and it's selling the game but TSN won't invest the time into it. Instead of having these interviews as part of the pregame, they cram it into the game. It does a disservice to both the game and the guests.

Highly effective rotational piece who needs to.be accounted for And greatly improves special teams...and brings a contagious attitude and fire to team....totally a great signing

  16. And he’s in no way a liability when he does rotate in. He’s not a token out there, he’s demonstrated he can make an impact.

See what happens when u spout off as a brash inexperienced vet team that k iws how to win....guess he musta missed those pages in the second half. Jeffcoat did the interview as a seasoned pro and didn't take bait to say we dominant when we aren't playing as such....and 2-0 after 2 sub poor games shows the diff between the good teams and the wanna be's
    3 points
  19. Yeah u could see Jones has no respect for the Fajs passing ability...was a good formula there as teams that actually can stop the run will now right stifle them...Faj will lose his professional like before and whine and point fingers...and it will be gloriously amusing again

And fits in well is Sask with plethora of asses... Coincidence Mass is there now too with no spine Dickie who let the players run rampant with the selfishness...and never seen a team do as much show boating and boasting..yapping...parading around like idiots...Jones' last year and the non Rigid Dickie years have been pathetic...that would never fly here...we would self police it before any coach even needed to address it

Anyone remember the game vs L'ks in 2019 that was super close... Came down to the wire... And with less than 5 mins left, I think, there was a scrum and Money Hunter ends up blatantly hitting or kicking someone right in front of the officials. I wanna say they'd got us to 3rd down and we woulda been kicking, and then because of Hunter being a dummy, it extended the drive and we get a TD and win. I think Strev was the QB for that game. It was Maas coaching Edm at that time, and there was zero control over the players. I just always remember that scrum on the field and Hunter taking an objectionable away from everything and costing them the game. Once an *******, always an *******...

Suitor would be almost tolerable if he didn't yip Yap about the same thing incessantly over and over...or interject with his assumptions on things which most times are wayyyy off....and talked to his audience like they aren't 4 yr olds

  26. I see that Dane Evans didn't learn anything from his 2019 Grey Cup temper tantrums. He still gives off really bad vibes when things don't go well on the field. He certainly doesn't inspire his teammates to play harder to win. He just pouts & seems to blame his teammates. Leaders lead by example. They don't spread blame while not being accountable themselves. You could see him losing it last night. The Rider defense just wouldn't stop taking those misconduct penalties.

The thing is The Manning cast is on a separate channel and you can choose to watch it or not. NFL telecasts don't have the interviews in the booth while the game is on like TSN is doing. Its comparing apples to oranges.

  30. Yeah...the actions of few result In the failure of many...there are truly some class A arseholes on that team. I wonder how Dean can stomach it..makes a great play...celebrates like a pro ...and like he been there before and almost seems gratefull...but majority there are just complete bafoons...and on both sides of the ball

Guys like that who set the tone...that whallop in the Grey Cup broke the Cats...totally deflated them when we had them on the ropes...was game over after that pretty much

  32. I think the really great teams don't only have great all stars but very good " bits and pieces " that compliment them . Guys like Hansen, Miller.... are the icing on the cake that make this team special.

  33. This will make our team a lot better. That's all that matters to us.

  34. Apparently according to Suitor seems like Larry Dean is the first and only guy who has come back from an injury...man he needs to go
    2 points
  35. What's wrong with the RedBlacks? They play defense like it's 1988 rather than concentrating on actual tackling. Hitting trying to injure receivers doesn't work in today's CFL & no matter what Ottawa thinks, it will never work. Period. LaPo being LaPo with questionable play calls & poor clock management in both games. No matter what Massoli does he has a head coach on the sidelines who is the CFL's modern day version of Willy Loman. Players who like to yap for the sake of yapping (Money Hunter) on national TV of all places & then can't back it up on the field. Ottawa acting like they won 2 Grey Cups in a row when they haven't actually won a thing.

  45. I knew once I saw that interview the Redblacks were going to lose. I said to my girl friend can you imagine a Coach O’shea led team ever say that? Anyways looks good on them. 0-2 is 0-2.

That interview with Sinopoli in the press box, overriding the play was awful. I don’t want to see sinopoli learn the telestrater while missing action on the field. Piss poor direction.

  48. M Ferguson was very good. In addition to his fine PbP he was able to keep Suitor reigned in by continually redirecting him back to the game. He also seems to have good command of the rule book…a basic requirement for all pro broadcasters.
