    Did anyone catch the pregame interview they spliced in during the game where Dave discussed going with Maier over Bo? Said "I" can win with either guy at QB. Can you imaging OSH ever saying that "I" when talking about the team winning a game? He barely includes himself in "we" when talking about a win and gives all the credit to the players and coaches around him.

    This has been discussed before... but that play Gauthier made to foil the Sask fake kick return in the 2019 WCF... was a huge catalyst to the Bombers winning the cup that year... the winds were changing in that game and if Gauthier doesn't make that stop... the Bomber might not win that game

    I wonder if Bighill’s struggles (last night especially) stem form him trying to do too much to cover for all these injuries? Like trying to play quasi-safety in pass D because BA is gone and we are 4th string now. Or covering for Clements and not just doing his own job and letting his teammmates do theirs? Thoughts?

    First game of 2022 at IGF last night and it did not disappoint! Fourth quarter was another wild one and seeing that 400 WINS light up the jumbotrons was a sight! Demski was on a mission, too. This team consistently finds a way to win and never seems to ever get down on themselves.

    Glue guys like Gauthier and Briggs is what the CFL is all about. The unsung heroes who work their tail off, play ST’s and can give you a play or two when you need it on defence.

    I'm going to give a HH shout out to Shane Gauthier... Someone mentioned in the gameday thread that he probably shouldn't be out there on D... and I actually agree... but that sack he made late in the fourth quarter was a huge play and killed any momentum the Calgary offense had

    Feel the opposite. Clements played the whole game. Adjustment they made in 4th was to have Gauthier in at more of a traditional A to B gap MAC and Bighill play the WIL. And that's when the D got stops. The problem is our SAM and WIL who play most are clueless in pass coverage. Teams are isolating guys on them, tonight it was Begelton on Rutledge, Logan on Clements, and just torching us for 200 yards right there.

    The play was ruled an incomplete pass and not a fumble on the field, so bad call or not it would not have been a fumble return TD on any event.

    Yeah both guys in the booth were like "Ah, yeah, ah i just dont see a penalty there". Just a horseshit call. Like WTF did you see to throw a flag on that?!?! Honorable mention to the jackass line ref that must have forgotten about forward progress and marked Demksi like 3 yards short on his crucial 2nd down conversion. Thank god the command center called bullshit on that one and corrected it.

    You are right , I just watched the highlights and Clements was in chase mode on all the big Calgary plays, and Bighill was overrunning and missing tackles. Rutledge made a bunch of tackles but that may have been due to poor coverage on his receiver and being first to the ball after it was already caught. Gauthier actually made some nice plays in the middle. I stand corrected.

    People say Rourke is with just 9 career starts. Maier is the real deal with 4 starts. Dickenson should never have started Bo. He's done.

    ZC was almost over the line too. I've noticed the last couple of games. He's been trying to do too much. Shows that he is a great athlete but sometimes he has to trust the play call. Turning out to be a really good game. Bombers defence need to get some turnovers though.
