A player does not have to actively engaged in a block to be blindsided or receive a crack back block....in fact most of the time they aren't. Neither of those are exclusive to blockers, not sure where you got that idea from? Any player on the field, engaged in the play or not, is protected by that rule. You are really grasping at straws now. Do you ever get tired of trying to be the contrarian....asking for a friend. It's one thing to play devil's advocate, but man you pick the dumbest arguments to do so.

Collaros, is not protected by RTP on a lateral or hand off. QB are tackled all the time after handing off on a great option fake. However, he is protected under the UR rules. In this case, there is zero doubt that Marino's hit was UR. If Collaros had squared off to him in an attempted block or something different story. The main thing about this hit was that Collaros had ended his commitment to the play, was in a vulnerable position and was blindsided.

Missing BA on the field is huge. People forget how good he is.

I am sure at some point he had it, but that day has come and gone. He lost the room when he started talking after the Marino incident. That was the train wreck that made his players question his ability to lead them. They actually had a decent start to the season and then Marino happened, then Duke happened etc and it is no coincidence that suddenly the losses started piling up. It snowballed on him and he has no response to it. Fact of the matter is if he had cut Marino immediately, benched Duke after the helmet swinging, he may have stood a chance of getting it back. Now...too late.

I think people also need to remember what we saw last year isn't sustainable. That was a once in a generation defense. Anyone who came into the year thinking we'd replicate that was bound to be let down. The defence is still great, just not history making great.

I agree to an extent, but the halftime adjustments have still been excellent for us. Our first half D (especially first Q) has been absolutely nothing to write home about. I’m holding out hope that we can maybe find ourselves some kind of WIL from the NFL cuts because we really do not need to be trotting out guys like Briggs, Clements or Gauthier no matter how much heart and soul they bring. Wouldn’t mind seeing more push from the interior DL either.

I’m thinking pretty confidently that you take the exact same play but take out Marino and Collaros and insert WJ and CF, we still know it’s a penalty and has no place in the game.

I want to bring up Dickenson saying that his solution for the Duke Williams dumb penalty issue is for him to not allow any non dressed players to be on the sidelines? Wouldn't it make more sense to discipline the one single idiot rather then doing a weak blanket punishment? I would assume that having some of the vet players who are hurt on the sidelines can help provide insight , moral support, and additional coaching to the guys who are new and who may need that help since they have never started before?

I genuinely get such a warm and fuzzy feeling out of reading the garbage on RF about how the refs are biased, the Bombers are lucky, etc. It’s staring them right in the face. Their team is poorly coached and ours is coached by the best staff in the league. Look at the leadership in their locker room. You’ve got Fajardo who has gotta be the biggest crybaby in the league, Duke Williams who claims to be a leader but is a hinderance to their success whether he’s in uniform or not, even Shaq Evans who has been back one game and already goes on social media complaining about the legitimacy of maybe the most obvious OPI call I’ve seen all year. That’s who these young rookies have in their room that they can look up to? Coupled with a coaching staff that lets them do whatever they want? Good luck. The Riders genuinely do have talent in that room, but it’s mostly a bunch of bonehead idiots who are given far too long of a leash by Dickenson. Feel bad for the guys like Sankey, Dean, KSB who are having valuable years wasted playing alongside the rest of that circus. Oh well.

I've been saying for at least the last 8 games that if we are within 3 at half-time, we are going to win. Montreal game was weird for so many reasons (7-7 at half-time). I honestly haven't thought that the Bombers were going to lose a game all year after the opening kickoff. I'll admit to being a little stressed at times...
