Darby was literally an all star last year

Practice reports on Twitter indicate they are looking more active in practice. Hopefully Woli and Jeffcoat aren't far behind either.

Had a listen to the coach's show on Spotify this morning from last night's episode. Osh mentioned that while he isn't expecting anyone new back this week, that there are "a number of players who are extremely close" or something to that effect.

same.....and december was when he last played...and balled out...not even a full 10 months ago yeah...that was a once in a generation...or one time you will ever see that again event

What we know for fact is that Darby played at an all star level for us last year. Not 5 years ago, last year I don’t really give a fug about how he played in Hamilton.

Happy to have Darby back. Lawrence is a nice add too. A little sad to see Wilcotts go due to depth. Still, well done, Walters.

Was at the stadium last night watching MMFA Crunchers " Practice with the Pro's". There was a Wolitarski sighting, and a Houston sighting. There were 7 other players there as well. Big props to the guys for giving some of their time to our community. Grandson was thrilled!

I actually really like the potential in Holm. He did look lost out there at times...but man is he ever quick. And if he can ever figure this game out, he will be a very good player!

On top or everything else good about Darby playing great here last year, he is basically plug and play. He knows the defence, he knows the team. It is an immediate starter

Darby and Lawrence are far from average....and are leaps and bounds better than Holm and Parker.....as well both have 2+ yrs of CFL experience, and know the game, players and less apt to be fooled or make "rookie" errors than Holm and Parker...which is key...and huge and yes...sorry to say makes us way better in the back end...how you dont see that is baffling exactly...and can play all positions as well as SAM....but sure...lets keep trotting Holm out there

Lucky day for Darby, he just found a swack of playoff money in his old jeans. Steep price to pay for the Bombers after Wilcots put in his best performance of the season against the Riders, but maybe he knew he was being showcased, and maybe he knew someone else was lined up to take his spot next week.

Winning a championship does require a team effort. The 2019 Blue Bombers are certainly no exception. I dunno, man. He looks pretty lit to me.

and what other team was in a dire need at DB like we were and had a piece worthy of offering?....Hamilton's defense, and secondary for that matter has been pretty damn good this yr. I'd take Alden Darby on my squad over many other db's in this league, and if you can add him back into a system he knows, and excelled in, with 4 other guys he has played with all last yr, well thats a no brainer....our defense just got a lot better today and thats all that matters

Or guys that Ritchie brought in after being cut by other teams only get lots of use out of still. Mcgriggs nash Marvin Coleman etc db is a peculiar spot and we run a very particular defense. Darby fits what we do like a glove. Really the more safety skills you have as a db here the better.

Darby is an actual all star though...like the last time the league said "hey who should we vote for league stars?" Darby was on that list....

I think most if not all Bomber fans have expressed concerns about Holm and Parker for legit reasons. So Walters goes out and lands a guy whose a vet, who can play every spot in the secondary and who was an all star last year and people **** on the move? WTF.

Wilcotts showed some promise but if Darby is the same guy as last year in our system this is a big win for us. This was move born of necessity as our secondary is razor thin too. I will breathe a little easier with Darby back.

Name one reasonable starting QB that Lapolice developed as a play caller and/or head coach. The answer is none. And his entire tenure as a head coach he's needed one. That's why he's terrible. Great offensive coaches develop quarterbacks. Lapolice makes excuses and kicks field goals when he's down 3 TD's in the 3rd quarter.

Indigenous population is spread out to more areas in Saskatchewan, Manitoba has more that come and then stay in the big city (Winnipeg). The reserves out in Saskatchewan tend to be more connected with better amenities then out here. As for racism if you want to see real racism visit rural Quebec... they even hate white people (who speak English). Far more egregious then anywhere else I've seen in Canada.
