I'm good with this. If they want to die for their stupidity and ignorance, let them. As long as they're not hurting anyone else, I'm fine.

  11. It's not an either or situation when they are both dressed. There's 60ish offensive snaps every game. I don't understand dressing Americans who have no role to play. Like if you're going to dress an American receiver to hold his helmet on the sideline why not dress a DL who can rotate in and make everyone on the DL better? I don't really understand why there wouldn't be a set of plays for Harrison whoever he subs in for. McCrae is fine for what he brings, but he's pretty damn limited as a receiver. You'd think a big bodied dude would get some reps. Why dress a guy for 5 games who you aren't even willing to put on the field? That's all.

    Playoff Update

This week's headlines: MBT appears in the sonnets of his ancestor, the Great William Shakespeare (GWS) "what hath garbage time passing wrought?" Dane Evans takes up singing shanties with his distant cousin from Scotland "what shall we do with the drunken (insert your own lyrics)" Lapo has a new role with the Red Blacks - kicking field goals from the 2 yard line The Alouettes discover that Trevor Harris prefers legs over wings - thus the reason the Birds often flounder

interesting in the sense that it's only going to make the protesters look worse and justify the governments use of the act... except in the eyes of the "**** Trudeau" crowd who will take whatever scrap they can to "gotcha" and believe that Trudeau is ruining our democracy.

BOLO has future 1000 yard guy ll over him...clutch conversion guy, and definitely has that Import look to him...he just looks like an NFL type player Mcrae....he is just so fluid and smooth...one of the most natural and smoothest players running with a ball in his hands....especially in traffic that I have seen up here in some time. He could be a real dark horse stud for us in the playoffs...and agree...next yr he could be an all purpose yardage leader up here if used right

Right out of the right-wing Trumpian playbook. You come out and say something that validates the bigotry, fear and hated of the flat-earthers and then, when challenged, half-heartedly say that you didn't mean it like THAT. Forgiveness is easier to get than permission, and you can always attack your critics for unjustly misunderstanding you.

You're not making this up. This is exactly what these criminals continue to say they will do when they say are going to win the midterms as the DoJ plods along in a system Garland thinks still holds true but it's not. What's that saying? All bets are off. Garland doesn't seem to believe that and/or doesn't want his legacy attached to that in how he is operating. Fantasy land. Ironically I think he is being selfish and or extremely naïve in wanting to keep his individual legacy intact by playing exactly to these well intentioned, evidence based fair bipartisan rules that are mostly mute here. He needs to do better in straddling between this and playing more to their game and their 'rules'. I need to hear more from him, things with less jargon and more I don't give a flying **** who you are here's what's going down immediately and less of his canned scripts of no one is above the law, due diligence, letter of the law white noise white noise white noise.

  32. Rourke was fantastic for the time he played. I think a lot of people, in the media especially, forget where he was playing most of those games though. In a nice, comfy, climate controlled dome. Fans behind him. No wind. No rain. etc. I was really waiting to see how he would do in the 2nd half of the season when he was playing away more than home and certainly not in a dome. We'll have to wait till next year to find out I guess, but I suspect his performance would have taken a bit of a hit once game #12/13/14 rolled around.

  38. Looking ahead to the next couple weeks, via Our Man Tait: Asked if he expected to see Ellingson before the playoffs, O’Shea answered in the affirmative and added this on the decision to activate Darby, Jr. from the one-game injured list and move Donald Rutledge, Jr. to the practice roster: “(Rutledge, Jr.) is a good football player. We just had the opportunity to bring in Alden Darby and he’s a very good football player, too, with a ton more experience. Alden’s played a bunch of different positions in different systems. He’s won with us. It was one of those pieces we felt we had to add.”

  39. When Austin said Rourke is the MOP & that he was absolutely right, then he said "fight me" , I immediately called him out for picking Rourke after just 9 games. He never even acknowledged my tweet nor did he do any fighting. Then he posted another tweet saying the MOC should only be eligible if a player played a certain number of games. He never said how many. Which is the exact opposite for his criteria regarding the MOP award. Which he says shouldn't have a minimum amount of games played to be eligible. So, in other words, a different set of criteria for the MOC over the MOP. When called out on that by his followers, he claimed he was only kidding. Austin always tries to be the smartest guy in the room when he clearly isn't.

Bang on. What some people don’t understand, or don’t want to understand, or don’t care, is this approach is done on purpose discussed about behind closed doors. It’s gross, immoral but rationalized away with little true genuine self-awareness.

  42. Danny Austin is that annoying message board poster who spews off smooth brain take after smooth brain take and then says he’s doing it just for laughs and discussion when he gets called out on it … but with media credentials Collaros and Schoen easily win MOP/MOR, Demski may or may not be the West Division nominee for MOC but if the season ended today, I’m probably voting for Gittens over him anyways. Demski is on an incredible hot streak, but Gittens is doing what he’s doing while drawing all the defensive attention in Toronto and his yardage numbers pace out slightly better than Demski’s even with more games played. I wouldn’t blame anyone for voting Demski but my vote would go to Gittens. Liegghio takes MOSTP easily, defence is a tough one but I think I’d probably give it to Nichols this year. He deserves it and even more than that, Bighill and Jefferson don’t.

David Staples: . . . But Smith said it’s important to listen to unconventional voices outside the mainstream, noting, “Albert Einstein had views that were outside the conventional mainstream at one point … It’s really those disruptors that have changed the world … It’s odd to me that we have a society that wants conformity, a society that wants to keep things exactly as they are … You never know someone who seems like they are a lunatic might end up turning out to be a genius.” . . . Maybe let's revisit our assumptions in thinking we are using the words unconventional, conformity, disruptor, mainstream, lunatic, genius in their appropriate contexts. With no real impactful checks and balances in place and having humans who lag measurably in the social and health determinants of life and are isolated behind a keyboard, a screen, a monitor with access to millions and millions of insane people and insane information has brought us to this moment in politicians pandering to this type of scenario.

Example of gaslighting by Michael Taube, Troy Media on Danielle Smith: 'And, much like Ford, she prefers to build bridges with her opponents rather than tear them down unnecessarily'. Put in more simple terms, I throw something absurd, non factual, completely void of reality at sane person. Sane person reacts appropriately to this drivel. I respond with I'm just trying to build bridges here, why the hostility WOKESTER? What a world.

What's interesting is, with those comments, Danielle Smith clearly isn't trying to win any new voters. She's blowing the dog whistle for the ones who are already with her. If she plans to win a general election, she needs moderates, and comments like those are only going to scare them away. It's just not good strategy/policy.

non vaccinated have taken a lot more than they have given. they are a burden. so is this new Alberta Premiere. According to new research, published in the Lancet. https://www.thelancet.com/journals/laninf/article/PIIS1473-3099(22)00320-6/fulltext "We aimed to quantify the global impact of the first year of COVID-19 vaccination programmes. A mathematical model of COVID-19 transmission and vaccination was separately fit to reported COVID-19 mortality and all-cause excess mortality in 185 countries and territories. The impact of COVID-19 vaccination programmes was determined by estimating the additional lives lost if no vaccines had been distributed. We also estimated the additional deaths that would have been averted had the vaccination coverage targets of 20% set by COVAX and 40% set by WHO been achieved by the end of 2021. Findings Based on official reported COVID-19 deaths, we estimated that vaccinations prevented 14·4 million (95% credible interval [Crl] 13·7–15·9) deaths from COVID-19 in 185 countries and territories between Dec 8, 2020, and Dec 8, 2021." I guess this might be too hard for Albertans to understand. maybe if we said "vaccinations built 14.4 million new giant pickup trucks and ski boats" they would be on board.
