an impressively large percentage of our population are quite stupid. I thought we (Canadians)were better, but I was wrong.

Sadly, this is what happens when we give equal weight and patience to the opinions of those who quite honestly don’t know **** from cinnamon.

  4. Great thread. I thought I'd share my thoughts now that we are a week removed from the game. I've actually been able to be pretty positive after the disappointing loss and I thought that maybe if I shared my reasons for that other people might be inspired as well. Everything you said was true Zach. These were all feelings I experienced to psychologically devastating effects in 2001, 2007 and 2011. This time was different though. This time we are coming off of back to back Grey Cup victories. This time instead of feeling crushed by losing the one big game I am elated that we won the previous two. I've been able to focus on all of the positives. The many, many positives. Having the most wins in the whole league since 2016, winning 2 straight cups, dominating our home games, having the best record in the league for two straight seasons, etc. The dynasty would have been epic beyond words but not getting the threepeat doesn't diminish what we have to celebrate. What every other team in the league wishes they had. In short, I'm having the best time of my life as a Bomber fan and the offseason can't end soon enough. I'll see you all at IGF in 2023. Go Blue!!!

The difference in passing attempts between 2019 Streveler and 2022 Prukop is not even comparable. It was a stupid play call if that was a designed pass. Prukop had less than a handful of passing attempts all year. Not the same, with the exception of maybe the element of surprise....even then....weak call if that was planned. We were moving the ball with the run, and didn't need much for what could have been a game winning TD. A better comparable is if we would have sent Sean McGuire out in 2019 to try the kill shot. It would have been as non-sensical as Prukop doing it this year.

The Sopranos was a league of its own IMO. I have the DVD box set ,which I've watched several times. But I agree with you. I hope Tulsa King stays on the lighter side.

Trump Demands Kari Lake Be Made Arizona Governor After Her Defeat. Lake, a 2020 election denier, has refused to concede in the state’s gubernatorial race. Former President Donald Trump called for defeated Arizona gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake to be named victor and appointed governor on Monday while repeating baseless voting fraud conspiracies that he has similarly used to contest his own 2020 defeat. Trump, in a post on Truth Social, claimed without supporting evidence that the former TV news anchor-turned politician was a victim of “another criminal voting operation” and that her Democratic opponent, Arizona Secretary of State Katie Hobbs, “ran the election.” “Massive numbers of ‘BROKEN’ voting machines in Republican Districts on Election Day. Mechanics sent in to ‘FIX’ them made them worse. Kari had to be taken to a Democrat area, which was working perfectly, to vote,” he wrote. “Kari Lake should be installed Governor of Arizona.”

I found the premiere of Tulsa King to be so so but the second episode was really good, I don't know why but I find the manager of the pot shop hilarious, and the security guard always flinches when Manfredi walks in.

Best quote I saw when it was apparent she would win the leadership was something along the lines of "Jason Kenney took years to become this unpopular, Danielle Smith will get there overnight" The difference between her and Kenney js basically Kenney knew when to shut up and keep the quiet part quiet and play the game in the media to try and come across as moderate, Smith just says it all out loud and has no filter and no idea when to stop talking.

  13. I have been waiting for 26 months now for my knee replacement. To tell the truth, the hospitals are now staffed so poorly and the Home Care so financially starved that family members now have to come into hospitals to help the patients with toileting, linen changes, washing up and so forth. A friend who is a retired nurse had to come in and change dressings as well. Its not the staff's fault- its the deliberate strangling of healthcare. If I am called, I think I might wait until next year. I got analgesics.

  16. Building toward 2026 at home...hopefully can at least win a game in that one. Can't help but feel this "Rah Rah Canada World Cup" was so much like the Blue Jays playoffs, or the Leafs playoffs...... anything the major national media hype up so much ends up with sad trombone. Definitely less expectation with this one, though.

Somewhat related - my dad has been obsessed with the invasion since it started. Maybe partially due to his Ukranian roots or the David/Goliath angle. He was pumped to hear about the Ukrainian Postal service releasing stamps and such to commemorate victories in the war. I placed an order for some stuff on Oct. 18 hoping for it to be here by Christmas for a gift and it arrived this week. If anyone else is looking for some gifts for the Ukrainian in their lives, my shipping time suggests that the orders should be close to arrival for the holiday, if not Ukrainian Christmas. I put in a large order with several large items that likely delayed my shipping time somewhat. Поштовий маркет - Інтернет-магазин Укрпошти (ukrposhta.ua) Ukrposhta | Ukraine’s national post

  18. as I learned this past weekend, I'm not sure how I will handle things if we're not just expected to win every game of the season as long as our starters are in the game...... I mean, I'm sure there'll come a day, but I'm clearly not ready for that yet. I want 20-0 every year with 50-0 blowouts in every game. I will stand for nothing less!

  19. Sure disagree with me all you want- that doesn't make you right. Saskatchewan's health orders were set to expire feb 28- they made every indication that they were easing restrictions.... Manitobas were renewed on feb 11th and were trending towards more easing of restrictions on March 4th. IDK about Ottawa... but they lifted it too- knowing ford, he's not going to be swayed by truckers protesting. As for slow walking... Palister opened up Manitoba too quickly and had to clamp down again because of rising deaths and hospitalizations... You are out to lunch on many of these points you talk about.

Nope. What we were told was that vaccines (in combination with other measures such as masks and distancing) would HELP REDUCE TRANSMISSION and would HELP REDUCE SEVERE CONSEQUENCES (ie Death, being very very sick) which is exactly what they did. Listen, I'm a big fan of listening to people who are really smart....went to school for a decade and study these things their entire professional lives...... why would we not listen to them? My barber said to me "what would you like done?" and I said "You're the professional... I wouldn't tell my mechanic how to fix my truck and I'm not gonna tell you how to do your job. Just clean me up so I'm presentable". All I'm saying is: Listen to the professionals...the experts. When 99% of experts/professionals agree on something, they're probably right.

Enjoying Tulsa King so far, as long as they keep the premise light I think it will continue to be good, but if Stallone wants to take it to a darker level like the Sopranos with excessive violence and death it will lose some of it's appeal.

Only two scenarios make sense in my mind as to why Prukop hit the field for anything more than short yardage and perhaps a gadget play. One, is that Zach Collaros was banged up a lot worse than we were led to believe, and all week long they knew it and prepared a passing package for Prukop. Or two, as I stated earlier this is a run play with a pass option IF our guy is so wide open you gotta take the shot. I don't honestly believe the Bombers were trying to be too cute. I think that something led them to putting Prukop in, maybe out of necessity, maybe to run....but I doubt that Prukop made the correct read on that play. If this was a designed pass than Buck and OShea would have to be incredibly stupid not to have ZC being the one throwing it. I don't believe that Buck or Osh are stupid.

C'mon man, that's just not logical. Most of the world had lockdowns. We are mostly an export economy - we could have had 0 lockdowns or mandates in Canada and livelihoods would have still been severely impacted It's hilarious that you would say the federal Conservatives did not support the convoy. Maybe check out some of the videos of Candice Bergen in question period The removal of O'Toole was already in the works before the convoy - Bergen took over less than a week after the convoy arrived

  46. Barbeque Chicken Season the pieces with seasoning salt several hours ahead of time Let your BBQ go up to about 450 F, before you put the meat on Then turn the heat all the way down and adjust your knobs, until the temperature is around 275 F Flip the pieces after 5 minutes, then after that about every 10 minutes Don’t wait too long for the first flip, you don’t want to lose any skin The meat will be ready in about 45 minutes (Wings around 30 min). Brush on your preferred BBQ sauce after 20 minutes, once on each side. (I like kraft regular mixed with teriyaki) Chicken is ready when it has an internal temp of 165 F – for best results – do not let it go higher than 175 F Make sure thighs and drumsticks have the right temperature – they can easily be raw at the centre Rest for 5 minutes, in a covered dish
