  1. This picture of these two says it all. These are the types of people who say are fighting for our individual freedoms and standing up to Ottawa. These people don't represent anything good and view the world from a narrow self entitled perch taking cues from knuckle draggers to the south of us. They can spout at, froth at and mock everyone else for doing the right things for each other. Freedom of speech allows them that right. But consequences should follow but unfortunately doesn't always. They willfully ignore the balance between individual freedoms and social responsibility. And they consistently say nothing will change the way they think and do. They do not speak for us nor do they represent what the majority of us Canadians are all about. Period.

As a former goaltender **** happens and you move on. Helle did what any goalie would do on that play... come out to play the puck. This isn't the 80s... goalies are supposed to play the puck. It hit the stantion tho, 1 out of 10 times thing... Blaming Hellebuyck is basically saying I don't know anything about hockey. In my opinion anyone blaming helle for anything, you don't know ****

  4. Jesus Christ almighty...... Hellebuyck is the best goalie in the NHL. He has been ALL WORLD for the Jets this season, and last night especially. Got PEPPERED by the best team in the league...... two turnovers resulting in breakaways (both of which he stopped!) The game winner was a turnover by the Jets, and then the shot itself went off a defenseman's stick and changed direction (elevated) a bit. Helle deserved the win last night, but there's only so much a depleted Jets team could do (not to mention Helle coming off the flu).

  5. More than a few missed high sticks. Boston plays a real chippy, interference-style game. Lots of clutch and grab that they are allowed to get away with.

  6. that won't end until Guererro is outta there....or at least until someone replaces him as Head Clown. I'm really hoping Mattingly is going to bring a different attitude to the dugout. It's nice that the kids are having fun, but until they actually win something, maybe take it down a notch...

Rewatching old games whenever I watch NHL Classics and it's insane at how low the level of talent the NHL had back then in comparison to today. It's almost silly at how loosey goosey and how unstructured the game was in the 80's and before. It would explain why people could easily put up 100 points and have gaudy numbers.

  10. We need Strev to stay down South for at least 2 more seasons before he comes back home

Playing devil's advocate? The quality of shots in today's NHL - is much higher. I mean, the number of pucks Gretzky others bounced in from behind the net - was ridiculous

  12. It feels like him signing elsewhere means he wasn't happy with his lack of usage late in the season. I honestly don't see anything sinister here. I think he wasn't as good as most believe - he just had a couple of sacks early so people got overhyped - and when he had to get sit down for his growing deficiencies he was FIFO'd.

  13. Man it would of been nice had he lead them to a TD drive.

Boston still undefeated in regulation at home but an ok effort by a banged up Jets vs a healthy Best team in the league

  17. Samberg with two brutal Defensive lapses tonight leading to breakaways and Hellebuyck has bailed him out both times. Can’t make those kind of mistakes at the NHL level, especially in Boston. Cheap penalty on Srenlund. Gets tripped and his stick flies up as he tumbled to the ice and clips the Bruin.

  18. nah, it was a shot at Stern, who also weighed in on that tweet thread...... I think him bailing half way through last season was not looked on fondly.

I also read that these two knobs in going there waved off security that everyone is required to go thru regardless of who you are. Boebert has said she packs all the time so there’s potentially an unauthorized weapon in chambers while the leaders of the Ukraine and the United States of America are in attendance. I’m embarrassed as a human being to be lumped into the same species as these two and their ilk.

  22. Hellebuyck is considered one of the top goalies in the NHL & yet he gives up way too many of these shitty goals & they are momentum killers. Every damn time. Fans today say that goalies today are better than their counterparts from years ago but I don't believe it. I watched the NHL since I was a kid. There's absolutely no way goalies like Dryden, Cheevers, Esposito, Meloche, Bower, Giacomin, Hall, Plante, Sawchuk, Crozier gave up so many bad goals so often. Those guys could go years without giving up garbage goals like that. But today's NHL is all about 6'5 inch goalies that flop around on their knees trying to block shots with their oversized pads only to get beat high on the stick side.
